I tried urchin ONCE to say i tried. An acquired taste I guess..l 😂

I think most of those guys are out there for mussels as that is the "go to" place for it when there's a negative tide. I think it was in one of Taku's video where he found some purple urchins that had a lot of uni inside. The trick is to look for the ones attached to seaweed cause then they are feeding. Otherwise, they usually don't have much inside. Either way, you're doing a great service by foraging them cause they are so invasive.

Mavericks started getting empty of sizable urchins during the pandemic. It’s very popular during any negative tide. It’s a good thing though!

I thought you were talking about a puppy dog at first...😂. Was going to reply watch out, that's a no dog allowed beach. Ranger will fine you. Im local, only a few hidden spots you can take your dog to. Im just getting back into fishing. Never really surf fished. So I just go to spots where I can bring my real dog.

Those are all my spots too...especially the creek! I knew you were from SJ, but I didn't know you were from the East, and definitely not from my 'hood! I think you're younger than me, but I grew up around the corner on Sundown between '79 - '91...We might have crossed paths and didn't even know it because we were in the creek every day too...crawdads, pollywogs, shopping carts, butterfly knives, ninja stars...it was a big ass playground! When I first moved in the water was actually pretty clean and there was more of a sandy botton, not just mud...you could damn near swim in there! Lake Cunningham didn't even exist when I was young, but when they built it, definitely spent time fishing there too...especially when they used to plant trout! Keep up the good work my boy, and reppin' the Murtha Hood...I'll keep watching for sure!

Yoooooo!!! Just watched the video. I remember all those days riding our bikes to lake Cunningham. I was bent over laughing when you were talking about the day you fell in water off of that pier. That was a long ride home in the back of that ranger’s bronco. You soaking wet with our bikes in the back. I remember when you moved away tho, sad day for me. Cool video, growing up in the South Bay I know every spot you've gone to. Lake Cunningham is closed because of "fecal matter and fungi", I don't understand if Almaden Lake Park is open for fishing then how could Cunningham be any worse? 😂
