The different clips you saw came from the following performances: the ones with Geddy and Alex wearing kimonos and Neil sporting a mustache were from the official music video (1977); the ones with Alex wearing a pink jacket were from Exit Stage Left (1982); the ones with Alex wearing a white jacket, Neil sporting a rattail, and Geddy sporting a mullet were from the Grace Under Pressure Tour (1984); and the ones with Neil wearing a tank top and Geddy sporting a ponytail were from A Show Of Hands (1988). Another performance from A Show Of Hands that the two of you may like is Force Ten, another hidden gem from Hold Your Fire. Have a great evening, and Rush on! 🎤 🎹 🎸 🥁 🎸 🐐 🐐 🐐
Got the usual shivers when it began and the usual tearing up after the solo. Just thinking how blessed I was to have been at all three of the later concerts shown in the video. I was only 6 when the first recording was made, so think that's a decent excuse for not having been at all four of them.
Rush were so tight and so consistent that it's no problem to visually sync their playing from 1977 with audio from 1997. This was the last tour where Geddy could hit those high notes consistently with his voice, but his bass playing never missed a beat.
I have a problem watching and listening to Different stages, knowing that in a few short months Neil Suffers pain that no one should ever go through. Seriously I have a problem with this tour soundtrack/video.
That Bass line off Geddy just SLAYS!!! An absolute tour de force by the greatest power trio ever!! Rush redefined prog rock and owned the whole space..... Never again will we see their like
I love the obvious joy that they get from playing together on stage even after so many years. Elite musicians and bueatiful human beings.
Show of Hands version has been my favorite version since I went to that show years ago. That bass at the end is everything!
i love how they add those little musical changes when doin the live shows & it still sounds so great.
Speechless. Great song. Great performance. Best band ever. Only 3 people. Thats out of this world really
Best one ever! ’77, ‘81, ‘84, ‘88, ‘97 ALL were actually the song-with the audio being from the 1997 Test For Echo tour.🤘🖖✌️🥁🎸🎹🎤
Always love it when Rush extend the song live
This is the best version(IMO) AMAZING!!!!!
And theboriginal is damn near perfect too. 100% agree this just adds so much to it by reliving the past and playing with themselves.
What else do these guys have to do to prove that they are the greatest band of all time?!
Great montage of a great song.

This is one of their songs that everyone knows the lyrics and quite often the whole arena will sing along with them. 😊

Just an FYI...this song is from the album "A Farewell to Kings". Great review
Seriously, is there a better band ?
Hahahahaha!
You need to listen to Subdivision live
I have always said Closer to the Heart should be Canada's National Anthem.
I have a problem watching and listening to Different stages, knowing that in a few short months Neil

Rush sucks.
I don’t mean that at all. I’m a die hard dedicated Rush fan of over 40 years .
Making way too many comments without pausing the video. Stopped watching halfway in.
