I really want this game now. The stealth and combat looks really cool! Thanks for making a video on this!
No problem, glad you want to get it, it’s such a blast to play!
You should check out the Arkham games the stealth is better and combat is more fluent
@@juliusrosenburg9775 alright but the nemesis system beats the arkham games tbh
Shibe Boi but the combat feels smother and the gadgets give it more variety with combos
Just don't play it on ps3
just started playing this game. cant believed I've missed out for so long I'm really enjoying it
The sequels still better in my opinion but this one is truely incredible
Just started playing this game. Can’t believed I’ve missed out for so long I’m really enjoying it
Me too. It is so real in the feeling of details and I can play it for longer periods than I can SOW . SOW gets boring more quickly. SOM will keep you more engaged
@@JordetheArtist how so? There is far more in shadow of war
@@91earthlink it just feels more repetative to me over time. Especially lately. Defending the attacks on the fortresses is very repetitive. I upped the difficulty but that only made it easier to put the controller down. And everytime I look at the graphics I totally miss the lighting, texture, and elemental details in SOM. SOW just somehow feels more generic and therefor repetative. SOW is more cinematic which is nice but the game dynamics feel more memorable and fun in a video game sense it SOM.
What is really satisfying is when you finally kill the captain that killed you several times

I'm having a ton of fun with this game, playing for the first time in 2021. An option for difficulty levels would be nice, but it's fun enough as it is. It actually gets easier as you progress as you have more tools at your disposal.
Its great game
I did a second character without any health upgrades. Optionally also forego some upgrades according to your taste. Maybe 5x streak is too easy, or maybe double executions per streak are, or maybe tanking a hit without losing a streak is. There's ways to manage the difficulty, but sadly it requires making a new character if you ever want to downgrade a bit.
get gud
I still play the sequel Shadow of War to this day. Infinite siege defenses and inline sieges. The combat is pretty fun, love the kill animations.
Awesome glad you enjoy the game so much
I prefer SoM
@@knutzano honestly after playing both I prefer SoM too the atmosphere feels more immersive and dark
@@imanverdinejad4198 Yeah, for sure. I’m glad I started playing SoM.
@@imanverdinejad4198 There’s always some tension in the air, you feel like you’re really in Mordor, the graphics gives you a much more intense and immersive experience and the soundtrack contributes to creating this tension and immersion.
I just got this game during Christmas sale for less than 5 bucks at Steam, and I tell you, the gameplay(combat) is where this game shines. The fighting scenes is so smooth and satisfying and the control feels like a steady 60 fps. The graphics is amazing even for todays standard. Def. worth it for the amount I paid for it.
Just seen this on the playstation store for 4.99, searched RUclips for a review, found one titled perfectly. I'm not a big "rings" fan myself & that was the 1st issue you addressed. Great title, & great review. Now I'm buying the game & you're getting a new sub. Thanks, man.
shadow of mordor walked so ghost of tsushima could run
Facts
Except GOT is good.
Ghost of Tsuhima is boring as fuck. It looks pretty, but its characters are boring. The stealth is too easy. The combat is fun for about 5 hours and all the “side” content is lame and repetitive.
@@Dusterdimmu81 that’s some straight facts it felt like the story was so safe and predictable and everything felt easy, I’m glad Spider-Man was much better because I have some of these problems in that game as well
@@smithsmithy7149 I personally think shadow of war and mordor are way better than ghost of tsushima
Great review I've had this game since 2015 and it's one of them games you find yourself thinking ill throw it on for half n hour before you know it 6 hours have passed its a BRILLIANT game!
That’s awesome, glad you still enjoy it!
Yes SOM keeps me playing more hours at a time then SOW .... Stealth is VERY important in SOM but not as important in SOW. Great game
This game will be a fine addition to my unplayed Steam collection. I got the GOTY for £3 on CDKeys so can't complain
great deal for a great game. Enjoy!
count me in. bought the game around 2-3$ goty edition and never played it. :/
Just recently picked up the game, after having it in my library for years - why did I not play this earlier? It's GREAT! Totally agree with you on all points.
(Well, maybe for one tiny thing: The people you have to follow actually adapt to _your_ pace. You start running, then they will, too, always keeping ahead of you.)
Lol same! I even got the season pass and got it in 2016 and just started playing it
i am playing the game right now. Only downside for me is the side bosses that can show up out of nowhere, once i was batteling 5 at once like wtf do you want me to do here game
Yes that can get very annoying and you can easily get overwhelmed that’s why you need to play more tactical and use stealth to your advantage
yep, thats when its fun, when you are so challenged that you have to strategize to survive.. sometimes you gotta run and go after someone else...or die repeatedly.
Thats the best part... kill them. kill them all.
@@clanda6234 haha yes and that's so much fun to do
lmaooo same, too many captains XD
Was free this month , decided to try it out and I LOVE IT! Always something to do and it still looks and plays great.
You’re thinking of the games sequel Shadow of War😂 It’s all good though I’m glad you enjoyed that game
@@masterassassin791 yeah I did t realize it till hit send lol my bad 🤣
This is a very well-done review! Great writing, editing, and helpful comments!
You see folks this is a quality review. Professional and you sound like you actually played the game and know more than those who haven’t great job man
The writing in this video was done very well. Not expecting that from a sub 10k channel very nice
Thank you man I really appreciate it!
How you've grown lol 🎉❤
Picked it up for $20 on PSN earlier today. Its VERY fun. The Nemesis system makes so many great moments.
This gameplay looks a lot better than i was expecting. I bought both games together online for 25 bucks today, and I've never even seen much gameplay of it. The infamous nemesis system has finally drawn me to it
You make great reviews, thank you!
this game's story isn't complete at all without the second one, this is still super fun
Can’t wait to play shadow of war!
Does shadow of mordor feels outdated after playing shadow of war?
@@masterassassin791 have you yet?
@@vbnv-oz8bj nope the combat is honestly better in Mordor. Second is still good tho
Haven't even watched the video, and my answer is yes
same bro
Great review, seemed to me you put all my thoughts into well articulated statements!
And a great game!
I played this game at my grandparents house (my cousin owns the game and lives with them). It was so much fun and I got really invested in the story and the combat!!!
after looking at a couple reviews online and on reddit, i decided to get into the game. bought shadow of mordor goty edition for £2.50 and shadow of war definitive edition for £8 so £10.50 in total. started playing mordor first and im having so much fun, cant wait to finish this and get started on SoW next.
I’m glad you’re enjoying it, I’ve heard shadow of war is even better so have fun!
Played this a few days ago after 20 months, and it blew me away again. Graphics are georgous and the violence is beautiful. Wish I could turn up the difficulty, but I don't play this for the challenge..
My only major complaint about this game is that the boss fights against Sauron's generals are way too easy and fast. Other than that, I had an absolutely amazing time, because I'm already a gigantic Tolkien fan. It definitely does not feel like a game that is already 7 years old. I can't wait to play Shadow of War.
Watching this was like listening to Jason from The Good Place do a review. Spot on!
Hey, this video was just what I needed! I do have one question though, are you able to turn off the blood in the settings? That would be great to know. Thank you so much!
Great review, super chil and accurate, overall just a good rundowm, althoigh.. dude, hope you make more video essays, good luck
Thank you man much appreciated!
Great review brother! I played the goty edition already and it is an amazing game!
Thank you and I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Someone posted this on fb for free for PS4 and I happen to be the lucky one to be the to grab it tomorrow. That is why I’am here. To find out if the game is worth playing. So far it looks pretty interesting. Awesome.🙂👍
That’s awesome however this isn’t the game that is free on PSN. That is Shadow of War the games sequel, it is a very similar experience however
Start play 3 days ago. Can't stop kill orks.Love it.
Great review! Quality content! Great work!
Quality content, bro. You deserve more subs.
Love the new editing style👍
Thanks man I appreciate it!
Thank u for the detailed review. I will surely enjoy this game.
No problem glad it helped!
underrated channel dude! keep it up
Great video! watching whilst I'm downloading and about to play for the first time, I saw you mention the game is best with a controller, but would Shadow of Mordor play fairly well on keyboard?
Guess thats my next game to play, thanks for your feedback, helped me a lot😎
Im watching this video as I download SOM for the first time. Thank you.
No problem I hope you enjoy it!
Very professional review! Great production quality, editing, and overall presentation. Also one of the only reviews to mention the mouse acceleration!
I have played the game since the first day it launched and I am 14 now so basically it's been half my life. I love this game and I think that it is so worth 20 on steam, dlc and all. But that's just my opinion. I think this was a great review while also showing the flaws of this game. Thank you for putting so much effort in this review!
That’s awesome man and thank you I really appreciate it! Have a great rest of your day!
It’s 2022 and I’m playing through it again it’s fantastic
Finally the Review came felt like ages LOL, well I would buy this game but... I'm broke so yeah still loved the review and I like the new editing Style👌🏿
Haha thank you man I appreciate it
I bought this game as game of the year edition with all the dlc for 5 bucks on psn store
CrisTheHuman great deals hope you enjoyed the game!
It’s $5 bucks again on PS Store
Solid review, thanks man
Great review man. Agree, still totally worth playing. Surprised you got it working on PC though, I had to play the PS4 version.
Nice review! Made me buy Shadow of Mordor while I was waiting for Shadow of War to finish it's download - wanted the full experience. But after I've been playing a few hours I decided to go and buy a controller - it's really frustrating with the random sensitivity change. And the only way to fix it is to decrease frames to 60 and lower ur graphics. A controller is worth to buy for the ultra graphic/frames experience!
Great video! Definitely buying it now.
how long was your playthrough?
Just bought the definitive edition for $5. Thanks man 👍 everything I needed to know. I love the Arkham style combat
Dude I don't know shit about lord of the rings so your pretty much where I'm at, this review was much needed for me to see. Shadow of Mordor is on sale for 5$ rn on the psn store
I just watched a 11 seconds of it and I already want it
One year old video, but I want to add something to this review.
Soundtrack, it's simply amazing. In longer words it's a dark as the story itself. Even calm ost's are somewhat unsettling and ghostly. While combat music is... Not bombastic? Hammer theme is a perfect example of that. It's rhythmic, methodical and almost want to crush you under it's beat. It's like killing. Stealth music have this horror vide to it that in the beginning can push player away from this side of dealing with enemies.
When you get to it, it's your ost. You are the unstoppable horror that orks are scared of. You're unrelenting and always come back. And music seems to play for you, and in fear of you.
Game is awesome..i had it for my birthday 2 years ago and damn that was hella fun! I got sequel a few months ago and still play it
Glad you enjoy it!
Great channel for whom with extended backlog, exactly what I was looking for!
Thank you!
Great review!
I've honestly never even heard of this game I need to get with it more lol
I definitely recommend, especially if you like Assassin's Creed, or Batman Arkham. This game is like a hybrid between the two.
@@masterassassin791 never played Batman games only Spiderman but I am a die hard Assassin's Creed fan always
Which other Assassin's Creed games are your favorite besides Unity?
I have this in my library for 3 years and I think im gonna install it soon
Awesome man have fun!
I bought it a few days ago for ps4 & got the game of year edition for 4.95 or something with plus and I’m not disappointed
I literally just did the same thing. I 100% the game in like 22 hours, it is repetitive but still a good time.
I bought this recently, really enjoying it!
Good to hear!
Kind of a spoiler but not really:
It’s worth getting this so you can have your greatest nemesis from Shadow of Mordor (and ally) to show up in Shadow of War
Yooooo spoilers omg you’re the worst human being ever
Jk😂
What do you mean ? I want to know the spoiler , tell me more please !
Are you serious?? The nemesis system carries over ?
@@avicenayosanta thanks man !
@@zachutchinson1995 As of December 2020 it no longer does unfortunately.
U plan on doing a video for shadow of war? Would love to hear your opinion on that one. Its gone through so much change since launch. Its quite the experience now.👍😃
Just bought the Definitive edition for 8 bucks. Thanks for the awesome review.
No problem enjoy the game!
Loved this game. Tried out shadow of war but I never got into it. So I’m replaying this and then I’ll try the follow up again
Here Sept 2022 bc Amazon prime is giving GOTY edition away for free. Thanks for your detailed review!
I was beautifully surprised to find out that this game was almost as much fun as horizon and GOW4 I had a lot of fun playing this game. The combat is probably the highlight of the game for me. The story was also really cool too! Ye reason it wasn’t mind blowing for me was the last two fights. I expected a lot more fighting instead of the cinematic’s. The GOW4 final fight scene was a perfect blend of intense combat with Baldur, arteus, freya, the world serpent and the giant. That shit has perfect cinematic cutscenes involved in the combat aswell as really long combat scenes with a switch up of moves. GOW4 probably the best game I’ve ever played but this is definitely a top 10 game for me.
Just bought it today can’t wait to grind
Wow I could sub twice lol. Cant believe u consistently cover all these games that I love so much
Haha, I appreciate that man. Many more game reviews on the way!
This was a fantastic review! The game is on sale on Steam right now and I wasn't sure if it was worth it.
free on prime gaming
I'm organizing an excel sheet with my wish list, having the sequel on my library because of psn plus, so I decided to look up for this game and even hating stealth you convince me to wish a game with a lot of stealth and in the future to play booth games in sequel.
Now I have 170 games on my wish list between ps3 and ps4 games, with 33 more ps4 games to look for reviews and about 100 games on my backlog list but your review is going to put the game on top 10 in my wish list
I have a free shadow of mordor in my psplus right now and it will expire next week, im planning to buy the digital game for $27, my question is does it save the previous shadow of mordor in psplus for my new one?
I really hate playing any game in controllers,
Will It be still fun If I play it in Mouse and Keyboard ?
I litteraly have done whole game in 2 days, now im trying to do the remaining achievments
already done 53/74.
Thanks man, I'm gonna play this game after I finish AC Odyssey.. it's been in my library for quite a long time 😅
I also didn’t like the fact that you could never really make a dent in the Uruk army bc when you Jill someone, another takes their place immediately. You nailed it: it ruined the sense of accomplishment
I've gotten the Game of the Year edition to Shadow of Mordor and it is Awesome
Great vid
Thank you
That's why you have to play the sequel game Middle-Earth Shadow of War and all the DLC to stretch out the story more. I really hope that they come out with a 3rd and final one possibly with the elf girl they had introduced in the 2nd one.
Just finished this game and it was awesome. Short answer: Yes you should definitely buy it.
Just started today and I feel like it came out this year
I just got this game yesterday for Christmas and I’m telling you it’s so good I would buy it if I were you
Great review man.
But where is your review of Shadow of Brúz? I mean, shadow of War?
This game been on my backlog a long time now x
My controllee has a problem. If I play with keyboard mouse, is it still good?
The presentation of your review was awesome! GJ. Subbed.
I've this game and started playing it around 2017 and put it in the back burner. I recently started playing it again and completed (even got a trophy for Ratbag being promoted to higher rank) the Ratbag mission. But after that I cannot proceed any further on any story line missions. I've completed the 4 War Chiefs assassinations, the Outcasts missions (liberating slaves/prisoners) and I don't see any yellow markers story missions except for Dark Monument. It won't let me play the only yellow marked mission Dark Monument. When I go to the location of Dark Monument, I press R1, it flashes a quick screen to 'accept' but it will just disappear. So right now the only way I can play the game is kill Captains over and over, but not go forward to the story missions. No yellow markers except for the locked Dark Monument. I can't view completed missions or replay previous completed missions. pS4 game info indicates I'm level 9 but can't go any further. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game and still the same issue. What am I doing wrong? I like to finish this game but it doesn't show me the next mission.
This middle earth assassin of souls game looks awesome
😂
how are these games with m+k? they are on sale atm, and my controller is having issues, like the A button won't spring back up
I knew the review would come XD sadly i want to but payday 2 so i only have 10 euros to use now but i will still check the review and do you know any 10 euro games you dont have to answer btw
I’m in the US so idk the exact conversion to Euros but Deus Ex and Dishonored are some really good cheap games along with Future Soldier and Splinter cell
MasterAssassin 10 euros is prob like 8 dollars or sometin
8:33 OMG, did you just catch that guard peeing? 😂
Game is too fun I remember playing this when I was younger was absolutely the best time of my lifr
Ultra settings? But what resolution?
I have downloaded this game on Xbox One this week and i enjoyed it so much . This game is awesome and you play as a true badass Ranger and the combat is so satisfying and awesome and it is fluid like in the Batman Arkham games 🙂. It is so badass to kill and do stealth kills on Orcs and the Nemesis System is so cool .
I bought this game not knowing anything about TLOTR and i loved it. Basically an old school brutal assassins creed. Unfortunately, i bought the second one and in my opinion it was not as good. The story is weirdly structured, there is no open world, but rather regions you have to fast travel too. A ton of loading throughout the whole game since you have to constantly travel inbetween regions. Gameplay was still great tho.
That’s awesome to hear. I have not played Shadow of War but plan to soon and make a review for it so thank you for the insight can’t wait to see how the game feels compared to Mordor!
Easy? Don’t worry, Shadow of WAR changes all of that. Depending on the difficulty you set. I’ve been going back and playing shadow of war so much recently, an experience you should not miss! Nice video!
Can't wait! Thank you man appreciate it
I just LOVE this game and Shadow of war, but especially Shadow of Mordor
Awesome✊
Yo y are there so many enemies in the beginning
I still don't now how to activate the big combat attacks where it says "X+A" or "Y+B" even when it shows up on my screen
It is definitely worth the money but get the DLC aswell because it can be quite short without it, even to platinum
I am actually cracking the game but still watched the should you buy vid cuz i was not sure if i should get it or not cuz im kinda lazy, but im defenitely getting it now!!
Have fun!
Yes it's still worth buying. I got the GOTY edition for free from my friend. :)
Loved the review.
Thank you man really appreciate, glad you enjoy the game and have a fantastic rest of your day!
I just bought a steam deck and this is the first game I bought for it. I will start it tonight. It looks good and it was only five bucks on Steam!
