Why? Their refund concept is not about you used it or not. Their concept is risk free satisfaction. You change your sofa because you dont like it anymore or you dont need it due to bigger family, meaning you dont satisfy it
Can you please make a video regarding notes on account and blacklisting a member? I heard that if return clerk does not like you, he/she can leave a note on account, which will make it harder for future returns and even might lead to blacklisting the member from returning specific items or even kicking member out of Costco. This always makes me worried and scared to return anything. 😔
Their concierge department is fantastic. I bought a laptop 2 years ago, 1st year, it didn't work; they did troubleshoot, couldn't fix it, and they mailed me a prepaid box, I sent it in, and in 2 weeks, I got it back with no problem. This year, the same laptop broke again ( I know, I got a lemon). I called them again and troubleshot, but I couldn't fix it. I mailed it in, but they still couldn't fix it. They mailed me the laptop back and said all I needed to do was go to Costco and have them refund me or get a new one. I opted for a refund and could buy any other computer I wanted. I just had to pay for the difference in the price. Throughout the process, they kept me informed of everything that was happening. I really like the service. So easy to work with.
the online customer service is very good as well for returns. I bought the wrong size bidet seat and they accepted my return, while also crediting me back the difference when I rebought the item that was no longer on sale.
This might sound crazy but I'm thinking about purchasing an infinity massage chair for 7,500.00. Very large and very expensive. I'm buying it at costco...if I pull the trigger to buy it.
That's about the furniture like you were saying in three years time if you found that the furniture is not holding up and they do accept it back how do you get the furniture back to Costco do you have to use your own truck to move it or do they pick it up for even a fee?
If you're bringing furniture back, you do need to use your own transportation, Costco doesn't do pick ups, and the only deliveries are made from costco.com. so likewise, if you buy furniture from the actual warehouse, they won't deliver.
"Most times the register will be able to refund the money straight back to your card without you needing your card? Is this only in the States? We can't here in Canada. Also, I've had a manager return a bracelet a member "lost on a boat" and only had 1 bead left from the bracelet. Perishable Food is the worst return and such a waste of food especially when they "bought too much" Thought we can't look up other membership's history without them being present? Privacy issues. And yes, people use it as RENTAL STORE. No lies!!
You may need to go through the concierge services. The warranty may try to repair but if they fail to do so they'll let you take it back to Costco, but Costco will ask you for a claim number, concierge services will give you that number.
I had a kids book, one of those workbook/coloring book types that was several years old, but unused. I discovered it while cleaning out a desk in my house & realizing my child had outgrown it, attempted to get a refund. I was denied by the very rude (an isolated experience, as most Costco employees are top shelf) woman at the return counter. She made it a point to give me some eye rolls & loud sighs, as she mocked me to her fellow employees, for returning an old book. It was in brand new condition & unused, just sat around, forgotten in a desk for a couple years.
Love, love, love me some Costco! Their return policy is just stupid! People will take serious advantage of that and it makes us all look bad. It's straight up stealing! No honesty, no integrity, nothing. SMH! However, it's their choice to have that policy! Love their Kirkland brand and their clothes! Would love it if they'd bring the Jessica Simpson jeans back! Amazing fit, great price and so lightweight for this Florida heat! THE BEST!!
Great video! So if I used cash or a visa debit card to purchase something. Will the return be back in cash/original debit card or will it be refunded back onto a Costco gift/cash card?
It just didn't smell like a tree ya know? lol It scared my toddler and ruined Christmas. lol It didn't make Christmas more Christmas-y. lol I would LOVE to hear the reason they gave. Because THAT is ridiculous.
This is a good question! Some items can be resold, so if it was wrong size, color, but item is still new, we put it back on the floor. If the item is damaged, or is outdated (meaning, something we're not currently selling, like Halloween decorations in December) we send it back to the manufacturer. Fresh, frozen, and prepared food unfortunately goes in the trash if it leaves the building, even if it's for a few minutes, if you are on your way out and return it before you leave, we can typically put it back out on the floor. And there are a few items that we will try to sell even if it's the last one, and usually goes for a lower price. Sometimes you'll find one item out of place with either no price tag, or very cheap; this usually means it was returned but it's likely to sell fast. Hope that helps.
Can I return a broken drone? I crash it and it felt into water. It was a DJI mini 3 pro I bought it 3 weeks ago everything is good, just the drone is broken 😞
I've returned a rotisserie chicken because it was extremely undercooked, I mean so grossly undercooked I lost my appetite undercooked and haven't eaten one since then🤢. It definitely wasn't eaten. It was beautifully roasted looking but so grossly. 🤢🤢🤢 But I don't like to return food but that irked me. When I buy a dang rotisserie it's for the convenience factor, I'm not gonna finish cooking it to eat it. I don't like to return stuff- but when I do I've never had a problem, ever. But I always have my receipt.
OMG! That is the worst!! I don't like returning food either, tbh. But when something is not cooked properly or the taste is just bad enough that I know no one will eat, I do like our return policy. I've had a couple times where the member's food is so gross they don't bring it back, but they show me a picture of what it looked like and that was enough to do a "no item return"
hey if I bought an apple watch 2 years ago, and i want to return it now but i dont have its original packaging. can I still return it. i do want to buy another one in place of that though. I would really appreciate your feedback on this situation. Also, I did search on its website, it says that packaging may help but its not necessary for the return.
So couple of things. 1-original packaging is not necessary when doing returns at Costco. They will ask that you bring all the accessories that came with it. charging cables, cases, straps, and whatever else came with it. 2-Apple watches have a 90 day return policy, so you won't be able to return the product if you've had it for 2 years. There are very extreme and rare situations where between Apple and a warehouse manager can approve a return, but I've only seen that happen once in my 16 years at Costco.
So I bought a pair of airpods a couple of weeks ago. I work on landscaping and my AirPod case fell out of my pocket and both airpods fell out of the case, I was only able to find the right AirPod, can I still return and get a refund on it even thought it’s missing an AirPod?
Hmmm. Apple products are a little tricky because they're very strict with their policies, even through Costco. I would definitely try but I wouldn't be optimistic tbh
Hooray another video.! I always look forward to my Costco videos from you. You're always come up with something I don't know
I think their return policy is great, but returning a used 7 year old sofa or a dead Christmas tree is ridiculous.
Why? Their refund concept is not about you used it or not. Their concept is risk free satisfaction. You change your sofa because you dont like it anymore or you dont need it due to bigger family, meaning you dont satisfy it
Makes it sound like you aren’t and shouldn’t be responsible for your spending choices.

Nice. I’ll be returning my VHS Tapes. 🤣
Thank you 👍
Can i return some clothes that are bran knew and still with the tags on them? Its been a few years and hubby didn't use them.
This might sound crazy but I'm thinking about purchasing an infinity massage chair for 7,500.00. Very large and very expensive. I'm buying it at costco...if I pull the trigger to buy it.
But the massage chair should only cost $1,500. those item get marked up the most.

You can return a gift they only ask you if yo have a membership that all no questions ask online Costco
Brother how about a T.V warranty? A year and a half hisense. Thanks

I’m a member and tried returning a gift. However I didn’t have a receipt or their member number and was denied
What?? They didn't even give you a shop card for it?? Could they not find the item number or something?
😂😂 at 216 in the video there's a clip of a Costco store best 391 that's my store I recognize the people in the in the image😂😂😂

If you are not a Costco member, It'll be cash. If you are a member then it can be refunded either way.
Can I return my gym bike?
Bought it 3 years ago
Yep
lol this was funny and helpful, thank you
Who would return a dead Christmas tree in January? How tacky! Classless.
I was appalled the first time I saw this happen. Unfortunately, it happens every year. :(
It just didn't smell like a tree ya know? lol It scared my toddler and ruined Christmas. lol It didn't make Christmas more Christmas-y. lol I would LOVE to hear the reason they gave. Because THAT is ridiculous.
About fridge or freezer
I've seen freezers returned. But it's been a long time! I'm not sure if you need to go through the concierge program first.
what happens to all those returned items?

Yes
Some people have no shame.

Does this apply to Sam’s club?
I'm not sure. You'll have to ask a Sam's Club employee about it. Surely, they have a similar return policy.
Yes very similar return policy as Costco.

I lost my$10000 wedding ring and Rolex lol
Thanks for the info....I'm curious: is this channel approved by Costco?
