Love your fashion try ons! I’d pass on the blazers - I think they cross the line into sloppy instead of being oversized cool.
SUPER helpful review Michele! Thank you! The shirts, cargo pants, and the 3 button blazer look great. The other blazers look like you are wearing a men's jacket - a little too on the nose. I LOVE oversize, but what I enjoy about my fav designers that have oversize silhouettes as part of their house code (i.e. The Row, Dries, Margiela, Peter Do, Ann Demeulemeester, Issey Miyake), are the proportions are always in check. Sleeves and shoulders are balanced. It looks intentional. I think some of the Frankie Shop pieces are not balanced. The sleeves look sloppy and would require too much alteration to look chic. Also not a fan of the embroidered branding. If you are going to put your logo on something, the execution has to be on point. Too many loose threads, sloppy stitching for $200-$400 USD items. I will stick with COS for more affordable basics with modern cuts, but will consider TFS if I see some items on sale.

YES! I agree ! The Brands you name totally get the oversize proportion sitch as well as Prada. I believe with this less is more and go higher end . Fewer pieces better quality life time in the wardrobe.
Wow this is such a good take. I agree - maybe the oversized look isn't just about making the item larger overall, but has to be done with a designer's care and thought. It's probably harder than it looks!

I have always been drawn to The Frankie Ship’s oversized blazers and I think they can work on anyone, but it comes down to proportion. I think if I were to buy one of their blazers, I would feel best wearing it with slim pants or skinny jeans, or even over a fitted ribbed dress. LOVE your vlogs, keep it up!!
Exactly! Slim on the bottom/baggy on the top or baggy on the bottom and slim on the top really works.
Love the last blazer for sure. The others swim on you. The cargos are cute also. You can never go wrong with button downs, but yes, send the rest back. ❤

Loved seeing the Frankie Shop clothing on a real person not a model. The blazers all looked great, the last one was probably my favorite, but if you think you’ll wear them then keep them all. However if you just keep the last one you can always see what new styles they come out with.

Agreed. Even in a change room, I put the item on without glancing in the mirror. Only when it’s fully on do I turn around to see it on. If it’s not a ‘wow’ or ‘yes!’, it’s a hard no.

With your background in knitwear and experience designing your own products I thought you would have so much information to offer! I think it would be interesting to know things to look for in a quality knit garment, brands, etc. just a thought!
Hi Michele, I loved the haul. I think if you size down on the blazers it will still be oversized but a bit more functional. The coat I didn’t like. If you end up sizing down can you please show us because I’m living for the oversized men’s wear 🤩
I can’t help repeating - I love your clothing quality reviews!! I trust and learn from that so much more than the typical influencer who doesn’t have any background in clothing/knitwear. I love the oversized menswear! I am enjoying my Frankie Shop Bea jacket so much, I am a S/M and chose the XS in beige which still gives me a really oversized look. Then I got a jacket with shoulder pads in S for more of an exaggerated look, I think this trend is super chic and modern.
LOVE the TFS try on and haul. I agree with you that the last blazer (the 3 button one) is a keeper. The others just looked a bit sloppy and I’m a huge fan of oversized clothing, but there was just something about them that didn’t work on your frame. Love the cargo pants and the poplin shirts though. And I was about to buy the puffer jacket but I’ve held off since despite living in a colder climate (Toronto - so the jacket would be perfect for this time of year), the bell on the back just doesn’t seem practical to me. Thanks for always doing such detailed videos - and videos that are authentic, honest and real!!

I like the black cargo pants... I'm used to the pockets because I have them in my work pants though. I have the same waist problem which has been exacerbated by menopause (the things they don't tell you 😩). That orange shirt looks great on you btw

The silhouette of those quilted jackets with the weird back, seem impractical if you need these jackets to actually keep you warm or deal with wind lol. Also you could just get better tailored versions and higher quality of this look by shopping in the men’s section

The blouses & slacks are keepers. They all look great on you. The jacket does swallow you, so that's a pass. What bothers me about the blazers is I would think all 3 would need the sleeves shortened & with the buttonhole detailing, the line is lost. I really do like the blouses & slacks on you. Blessings! I love your style and love a lot of pieces you are purchasing but would like to mention that there is a fine line between oversized, edgy or sloppy. We design these styles with 6ft+ tall people in mind, keeping all the proportions in mind. Looks like you and I are about the same hight and size and I find that buying small and medium sizes in oversized styles, suit us best. We want that oversized look but we don’t want to loose proportions.
And it is very difficult to find a high rise pant for our shape, keeping our tummies in mind, medium rise works best. We don’t have to sacrifice style but leg will look way better. Unfortunately most higher end brands cater to tall people and this brand is doing exactly that.
Would love to see you pick up some pieces in a smaller size, just to see how that works😊.

Absolutely hate that dramatically oversized blazer style-a total cop out on tailoring-at all price points. Looks like a child wearing his dads suit. I will be so happy when that fad has passed. When the oversized look was in in the 80s it was still tailored to fit, just with a bit of drama(obviously I am a bit older -early 60s)
i vote to return the quilted jacket.
ETA: and the blazers; they're _okay_
if you want to keep a blazer, keep the black one with three buttons, but even then, I'm unsure. you have really nice taste, so the money you save from the three blazers can go toward a nicer item you're actually in love with.

I actually love the Frankie shop’s blazer and coat the most. I have two bea blazers, one in black and one in tan , both in size xs. It not really meant to button them on…and you’ll probably need to get size xs and s based on my experience

Love, love these pieces. The blazers are nice but if you're not comfortable with the way they let out in the back, I suppose you can always have a seamstress take them in a bit in the back but, why put more money into it if you don't have to.

I think the last jacket with the three buttons look great on you. Your should definitely keep that one. The first two, to me didn’t seem to do much. They just looked oversized. Maybe with a slimmer bottom like a legging would be better. The pants and shirts look good. The quilted jacket would only really look good with a slimmer bottom…in my opinion. Great vlog as usual.

I can’t drive in heels. I bring flip flops and drive in those and put the heels on when I get there. Plus I have flip flops in my car for when my feet hurt after wearing heels all night. 😂

Please don’t hide your body in sloppy oversized clothes - while I understand the style is trendy, it’s a trend that just doesn’t look classy on anyone over 25. I vote for returning the quilted jacket along with the 2 button blazers… only keep the last blazer… if you must. You can and have done much better!

I disagree. Why should Michele be told to stay away from a style because of her age? Shouldn't we have progressed so much further than telling people a style isn't "classy on anyone over 25?" The answer is a resounding YES! One's age should never be a parameter of what one is supposed to wear according to some standard in society. 🙄In a world where so many influencers are wearing everything short, tight, cropped, and cut out Michele stands out as fashion forward, edgy and cool. She knows who she is and is confident in her own authentic and unique style. I would rather have younger women be influenced by her than those that show everything and have zero creativity in fashion. Oh, and the scolding tone? Michele deserves better!

Hi Michelle, in my opinion the three button blazer is a bit more fitted in the midsection and has a more tailored oversized look which looks great on you. The two button blazers look a bit too large and boxy giving a slightly sloppy look. The puffy jacket looks great in the back and is fashion forward but the front looks a bit maternity. I wonder if you can take the front in only for a more flat fit across your stomach.
I’ve been trying the Sisley self tanning skincare. I so want it to work. It does give me a nice, subtle color. Unfortunately it irritates my eyes- dries them out or something 😔
Can you order two sizes next time you do a try-on haul? Order sz M & L, and let the viewers give their opinion on what looks best on you because I feel that you're really a M in jackets and dresses. I do believe that you should always feel comfortable in your everyday oversized clothing, but fancy occasions warrant clothing that is true to size. PS, I love your style.
Michele, if you want a 3/4 padded liner jacket, I have one from All Sainte that doesn’t flare out in the back. You may want to check it out

You look lovely no matter what you wear. I’ve seen some really young models (like Hailey Bieber) wear oversized blazers, etc. but, I think most of these young models are at least 5’10 tall and they are wearing XS sizes.
I’m just not a fan of the look for myself. I’m only 5’3 so I look like a clown 🤡 😂 in oversized clothes.
You should dress like you want and feel comfortable wearing.
I am petite and love oversized but I think the proportions are too oversized. My experience with FS is that it’s fit for people 5’6” and up.
Hi Michelle, qualifying my comments because I think you are the coolest and I watch all your videos…but since you asked for feedback, I’m hoping you go down at least one size on the clothing. I understand that you like and feel comfortable in oversized clothing, same here, but there is a point that even I have to realize that some things start to look bad if they are too oversized. It was hard to concentrate on the actual clothes because of the fit. In no world should you be wearing an XL. Anyway, I feel awful for adding this comment but you are asking and I feel that you will appreciate our feedback (on some level). Anyway, bookending my qualification and signing off with “I just love you, you are the coolest, and I watch all of your videos!” ❤😘

I really love the blouses and the blazers. I really love the black one that you tried on last. I think I would return the coat and the first 2 blazers and see if you can find a beige blazer like the black one.

Would for sure ditch the blazers, far too oversized for your lovely shape. Kinda reminds me of the kid at the end of “big.” Everything else looks fab! Been considering the gelso shirt in rose, have you tried that one?
