“The point is, art never stopped a war and never got anybody a job. That was never its function. Art cannot change events. But it can change people. It can affect people so that they are changed... because people are changed by art - enriched, ennobled, encouraged - they then act in a way that may affect the course of events... by the way they vote, they behave, the way they think.” ― Leonard Bernstein
I know right for the first five minutes I was like too slow wth then I realized it was allowing the piece to manifest its full richness like I had't known there was such a contemplating side of this movement guaw

Magnifico! Unico Leonard, mai più nessuno come te❤
My favorite piece ever. It's pretty much perfect.
Aah it's so slow and deliberate, creating space to encompass the full breadth of the piece.

The music depicts how the battle tank marching towards a furious battlefield at the beginning.
I swear, the 2nd movement turns me into a freakin barbarian and brute. F*ck subtlety and nuance. I want FORCE, I want noise, I want a hard-on.
Is it just me or is the opening notes of this movement a musical jumpscare
