  • Lots of things happening in this video. First I got a new truck, first one I've ever owned, I'm very happy about that, as I have been wanting one for quite some time now! I'll go over what I did to get it, show you around it a little bit and then we are going to immediately start trying to bring it around to a better condition. I pressure wash the large amount of dirt out of the bed and give it a rudimentary spray down and then on Day 1 also fix the first of many things that are wrong with it! Subscribe to the channel so you don't miss any new videos and be sure to hit the bell notification so that you see new videos on your feed as soon as they come out. I'm sure there will be many new truck repair videos in the future.

Love how everything is just about stock on that pickup brother. Man that's seriously SUCH a straight BADASS deal for lil over $600 of work ? 😮 Love how even still has the stock stereo in it.

That was a serious score for only $600 of work. I suggest only using AC Delco parts on it and it will last you a long time. If you know how to weld, the rust isn't a major issue.

Best truck GM ever made. Treat it like it is the best truck GM ever made.

I believe so too. I do know the Vortec 350 is the best engine GM ever made. 1997 has the best of both worlds, its not too old and its not too new where there's too many electronics.

I still got mine. Vortec 350 171,000 miles, still starts up like it was new.

20:34 when you turned the engine over. I believe that's the 4 bolt main 350 right ?

I'm not trying to fool anybody this is the first time that I have ever owned a V8 350 engine and anything everything I'm going to do to this truck is all going to be new to me I'm going to encounter a lot of learning curves I'm not even sure what you mean by that's a four bolt main 350 but now I'm going to figure it out

@@jessesworld6400 well take your VIN number and find a trustworthy mechanic that will have a conversation with you about the truck. I know these trucks up and down n sideways. I'd give out my number just don't want to over comments. If there is a way I can contact you I'll gladly help.
N hell yes always, always good to learn. Not a damn thing wrong with know knowing something n asking questions bro! 😊

Only problem I have is the driver side door handle has broke 2 times in 27 years and they aren't fun to replace.

I'll probably be working on that this weekend also have a stupid camshaft positioning sensor error, I replaced it and cleared the codes and then it still came back, got to check the timing next
