As long as I understand, if you make coffee just after the steam blowoff, it will result the coffee burn. You should wait until the heat of motor is cold. Or, firstly you should brew your coffee and then air off and make foam.
I see it comes with just one filter (probably 2 cup filter). If I want to make single shot coffee, do I need to buy 1 cup filter or this filter is good for both?
Hi, sorry im not familiar with Bru or Indian brand coffee, but I use it with Assam Tea and Thai Tea. With that it works perfectly aslong the powder isn't to small. I Hope this helps 😊
Nice video and unboxing, but you need to learn to properly make an expresso. Not adequate coffee, with holes inside. It's not the pressure, you just have to pressure it evenly.
Steam/Cappuccino mode …. it works for like 4-5 seconds then it goes off and then the single and the double coffee button blinks on the machine. It’s a new machine, what am i doing wrong here ?
Hi, when the Steam/Cappuccino mode is lightened, press it. Then you can use the steam switch on the right side of the machine to get hot milk or foam. When you release the switch, all 3 buttons are lighting up again. Then you have to press the Stram/Cappuccino mode again if you want to use it again. But there is no time limit to use the Steam/Cappuccino mode. 4-5 seconds is definitely too less. Then I guess there is something wrong with it 😕
@@360surprise Ok So i was not pushing the steam switch properly to the extreme right, the reason it gets stopped. Now sorted.. Thank you for your reply :)
I have the same exact issue with a new machine. Switch to steam mode, puffs for like 5 seconds then runs out, and coffee buttons start flashing. I switch back to coffee mode, then back to steam mode, and only then steams properly for however long i need it.

That tamping was not great, you could see the holes in the top of the puck the water would have channelled through. This is why the shot was so light in colour. Nice video though!
Roughly 30ml but typically it's measured in grams because the crema (foam) can increase the volume. For normal espresso you should aim for a 1:1,5 to 1:2,5 ratio of coffee grounds to espresso at the end. It should also take between 25-30 seconds for optimum extraction.
Hello! I’ve a delonghi dédica ec685 for a couple of months now. However, I am always in trouble to take a coffee right. If fill the compartment with grounded coffee using the right measure (that is available with the machine), then a press the coffee just a bit with the right tool. However, the machine doesn’t take any coffee. I need to use less coffee than the right measure to take a coffee. Does this happen to you guys? Any suggestions of what is happening? Thank you
before i got a benchtop grinder, i used to use regular bagged coffee. This never got me good results till i bought "Espresso ground coffee" which is more finely ground. I can get this at the shop i just have to read the labels correctly. As for tampering, i Press quite firmly to remove any airgaps so that its a compact puck. Works a charm for me. What i do is fill the basket with coffee till the brim ( more then 1 scoop of coffee the provided scoop gives ) then i tamper it quite hard. Hope this helps.

I must admit, you really didn't make this machine seem any good. I have this machine, and I'm no barista, but it actually is a good machine. Having said that, when I first used it it did seem a bit crap. Now after learning it and some of its features it makes a great coffee. I'm quite lazy though and I use the ESE pods.
