These soldiers who are from one of several mounted divisions of the army, would be tank drivers in modern warfare. London also has a mounted police service.
These soldiers are from the Household Cavalry which is made up of the Household Cavalry mounted regiment consisting of a Squadron of Lifeguards, a Squadron of Blues and Royals and a mixed HQ squadron, and the Household Cavalry regiment which is a totally mixed regiment of the 2 regiments. Soldiers usually start their career at the mounted regiment before moving to the armoured regiment, they can move between the two during their career. Soldiers are recruited from all over the UK and commonwealth, not just the London area as the video gave the impression.
