    I have been fishing for carp for 20 years with great pleasure. But that has come to an end this year. The new young Netflix generation has really messed this up here in the Netherlands. With their disgusting behavior with those bait boats and drones. It has become really sickly. Bait boats that sail over your spot, drones that hang above your spot. Have 0.0 respect for other fishermen. Disgusting and it has made me decide to stop my wonderful hobby and focus on fly fishing and pike. Because carp fishing is completely destroyed from within and from social media and RUclips

      I hope people are sat there on an old deck chair, a Y shaped stick, washing up bottle top as a bite indicator, oh a centre pin reel on a split cane rod… but they won’t, they’ll be sat there on a chair that’s made using lightweight materials, with carbon rods, clutched and geared reels, digital bite alarms on stainless or carbon bank sticks…
      I could go on, but you get the idea…

Nothing wrong with using whats available to everybody. Gone are the days of spending hour upon hour leading around for a spot, then another 2-3 hours spodding bait to said spots. i go now to relax and enjoy myself, using a baitboat is heaven nowdays. No more going home and aching for 2 days from constant spodding.

    Don't like bait boats because they tempt the user to fish out of their water and often into stupid areas, there's enough stroke pulling goes on without all that, having said that I'd rather have a sensible bait boat user near me who discreetly puts his traps out than someone who comes up at bite time and leads all over the area then spombs the granny out of the place. As a short session guy that doesn't fish nights this happens to me all the time. These days if you turn up to fish early morning you have absolutely no idea of where others are fishing because of bait boats fishing to ludicrous places, sheer desprateness, there they all are bivvy zipped down sleeping off the last nights ale and weed. Bushwhackers are OK by me nice and stealthy, but all you bait boat boys don't kid yourself that it's your angling ability that is the edge. Rant over.

    Look , I have one of theses Deeper sonar balls & there a great thing to have , especially when the fishing gets slow & they can provide details about the pond or lake your fishing & thats key to fishing & they can provide things about the species of fish your fishing for ,there’s nothing wrong about using something like this , hell here in the states , Pro Bass fishermen use sonar on their boats all the time especially in the Bass Master Classic . This is a game changer when it comes down to bank fishing & it beats sitting around all day just waiting for the fish to bite when you can look for them & put the bait right in front of them . These things tell you a lot about were your fishing & when it comes down to plastic baits l crank baits & such , it’s just picking the right color for the fish to hit them & that’s all to have to find out , color , appearance & how you make the bait work & this Deeper sonar are a combination you can’t beat .

I wouldn’t have even finished leading with a marker float by that time given how small the spot was. I can cast but have a torn disc so try not to if at all possible. I hear people call it cheating but for me the only way it would be cheating is if it was used in an actual competition like the BCAC or the WCC.
    Using a bait boat for delivering bait to a spot is no different to using a spomb or even using a baiting spoon on a pole.
    I get that if people are using the sonar to try and find fish rather than checking the make up of the lake bed is taking it a bit far but it is human nature to be curious to see if there are any fish present.
    It also saves time and the ball ache of having to do laps around the lake like an Olympian just to try and find fish that might not show which means guessing a good spot anyway 🤷‍♂️

    If men are allowed to box against women in Olympic boxing, then you should be allowed to use a bait boat!

      @@nuffinbutfishing what are you getting at with that comment? You've literally made a video saying that it's the most hated way to fish, why is that? The fact that people are catching fish/carp from areas they would normally have no chance casting to, is not fishing. Im not the best angler but any carp I catch casting a rig (which normally takes many attempts i will add) is worth far more then any fish caught using a remote control boat.

    • @nuffinbutfishing
      @nuffinbutfishing  7 дней назад

      @shaunfurley8190 you said its getting rarer to see people cast and I disagreed as people cast most places I go. I used a boat in this video but 95% of the time I don't. Wasn't a comment to get your back up mate was just continuing the discussion

      @@nuffinbutfishing unfortunately on the waters I fish, I'm seeing it to often and in my opinion its a shame. I appreciate not everyone has the same physical and skill abilities but I honestly think it takes away the essence of fishing. The learning, the practice it takes, the mistakes, the improvement and of course the times all the above pays off. Be honest, on what scale do you think using a remote control boat takes away from the aspects ive just wrote about? A lot! No hard feelings, im obviously thinking about the topic too seriously and should probably let everyone enjoy their hobbies how they like, even if I don't necessarily agree with their approach
