I just bought a 2012 Escape Limited with 35K miles on it. Little old lady who had it must have liked loud music. The front speakers are shot! Thanks for this vid! Makes replacing them look easy! plus you have the part number..
If you don't buy factory replacement speakers, your new speakers won't come with the box the wires plug into, as shown in the video (just positive & negative terminals). We found this out after 2 doors were off and needed to run out and buy a wire cutter and crimper set. You basically have to cut the connector box off the wires and then strip the ends and connect them to your new speaker wires using crimp connectors. It's not hard, but is obviously more time consuming.
Thank you for this vid. Dealer last time pulled a bait & switch on a speaker replacement. Just did both of mine with help from vid. Needed wire adapters for 2012 Escape, which Amazon said I didn’t need. But found some at Best Buy and GTG
is it a different model speaker you put in the escape or is it the same one because i wanna know if i should just buy any speaker or should i buy a ford escape 2012 speaker
so when removing the existing speaker there is no need to cut any cord at all that the speaker was connected to right? The new speaker will be using the same exact wires no need to rewire anything? two questions in one kinda sorry.
No. If it’s an exact replacement from ford or OEM, then yeah, but if it’s an upgrade it will just have a Pos/Neg terminal, so you will have to either Buy an adapter for $8-14 or Cut the adapter off and crimp/solder on ends, which I can’t think of the name of right now.
it is amazing that you would create a video for this ... when I click the hot link below, it says you don't sell the 2012 Ford Escape door speaker. LOL
+Steven Poore We do not have that information available to us. You should be able to call your local dealer with the VIN and they can provide the correct information. Thank you for watching.
Just used this to replace both my fronts and now my radio display is dead. Noy sure what caused it. The bluetooth and volume still work but i cant see anything on the display. I did disconnect the battery during install
good video good work, greetings my stereo from my ford escape 2010 does not have much volume I don't know how to listen loudly I have to do thanks and greetings
It seems like those speakers should have originally had a gasket between the metal speaker frame and the metal on the door where it mounts to prevent rattles and metal on metal resonance, unless you're a Metal fan like myself. Wait, what was I thinking?

My right one buzzes and I never play it loud...
Thanks! Got both doors done in about an hour after watching this. Super easy doors to work on.
I thought it was gonna be a pain to switch out speakers. Very easy and straightforward video! Thank you very much!

Probably the best demonstration video I've ever seen. Thank you for this.

Literally….. literally in the same position. Trying to decide if I was gonna order the adapters and wait or just cut n crimp n all that. Ugh
Thanks for the video. Made replacing the speakers in my wife's Escape much easier.
A lot easier than I thought it would be
Thank you for that AWESOME video! You made it so super-easy, saving me a nice piece of change! It was just as easy as you illustrated.

Do you have the part number for the factory front door speaker? So it looked like a 6x9 speaker in the video. Would that be correct?
+Steven Poore We do not have that information available to us. You should be able to call your local dealer with the VIN and they can provide the correct information. Thank you for watching.
Do I need to disconnect the battery car for any electrical damage? Or just take it off normally.
+Jorge Olalde You should disconnect the battery. Thanks for watching.
You just save me some money sir thank you awesome 👍👍

greetings good job good video! I have a vehicle of those escape 2010 because the radio is heard very low that I can
+Ruben Morales Thanks for checking us out. 1AAuto.com
So you need the 6x9 then correct? I'm just asking cause I have some 6" rounds
6X8 aperantly, but most likely you already figured that out! cause the video did not mention it.
Bit late but I’m putting new 6x9” in mine. From what I saw by researching and everything it will take both somehow.

What speaker does it come equipped with?
Most speakers don't come with a bracket to connect the speakers. How do you wire it?
Gotta buy a fairly cheap adapter $10ish, but cut the adapter and crimp some ends on. You can always put the ends back on too. Small pain but no bugs
Why don't you put a link to the speakers so we can buy it?
Que medida es esa bocina?

@@1AAuto very dope. Do you guys have a tutorial to fix a shift lock issue with 2004 Nissan Pathfinder ?
+Just a Cup We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
@@1AAuto I would gladly pay a fee to see a repair video that was thorough and easy to understand for a non mechanic
I wanna buy same speakers for the same car
Are the factory speakers 5x7?
6x8
dang thats weird, from my research it was 5.25" lol ya that looked like a 6x9 but okay 6x8??
6x8 or 5x7, either will work.
What size is that speaker?
