THE WHO GENERATION on AXS-TV's "The World's Greatest Tribute Bands." The band performs "Who Are You," with an intro by the show's host Katie Daryl. Enjoy!
Almost.....apart from Keith singing in tune! 😂😂. Awesome. Quite weird when each member is wearing different era clothing. 😂. Would love to see you guys.
C' MON ,..PETE didn't have that many peddles !! This is madly like the oooo' though ,.. perfect sloppiness , loudness, awkward parts,..THIS ROCKS - THIS IS THE WHO !!!!
Saw the drummer when he did a cool one man show about Keith Moon. The guys sound good but they're all over the place visually: "Pete" is 1965 mod Townshend with an incorrect LP Std, "Roger" is 1969 post-Tommy rock god Daltrey, and the rhythm section is pure mid-70s Who...
If you watch more of the set they play songs from those different eras / phases. I think there are a few costume changes also but they don't stick to one specific point in history. I went to school with the drummer -- Rolly Devore.
HI Chaps :o) Great show! I'm currently setting up a The Who tribute band here in Scotland and I was wondering if you could tell me where you got your backing track for this song? I'm also trying to source backing tracks for Baba O Riley and Won't Get Fooled Again. Thanks. Garry
I laughed at this video because the guy playing bass got a few panning shots just like the Ox! Entwhistle once said he could’ve played the song from his house because he got overlooked by the camera crew… looks like this bassist is enjoying the same treatment, lol! They really sounded good, except the bass was too low to make out, lol! What else is new?
Moon didn’t use a high hat, and Moon was a loon. This guy is not even acting like a guy trying to act like Moon the Loon. Additionally he should hold the sticks in Kieth’s fashion. The Pete guy hardly makes any Townsend gestures. And that bass player has made only a physical appearance attempt to be Entwistle. Forget about the fact that he misses the effortlessness appearance of what John does while playing something very much more complex. These guys are good at looking like the WHO, and sound ok as well, they just don’t really cut it. How’d they get on TV? Daltry said they were great? Roger must really be a nice chap.
did anyone notice the entwistle wanna be skipped the riffs in the break in the middle and let the guitar play them to get the sound and speed try using a pick entwistle used both fingers and a pick i may be nitpicking but i am not playing bass ln a who tribute band trying to look like thunderfingers
WHY THE HELL DID RHEY NEED TO FUCK THIS GOOD THING UP .... LOL. WHO PLAYED THE OX'S middle 8 part......?!?!?!?! The Townsend player. It's as important to like.......BABE RUTH WAS A FUCKING LEFTY......not a right. tell me I'm wrong.
Pretty good. Hey drummer learn to play matched grip. Traditional doesn't cut it with Keith. And add the row of concert toms. 1967 kit doesn't work with newer stuff. Guitarist needs a red Gibson SG. My God, you guys must be older than the actual members. The wigs help.
Best Who tribute band I’ve ever heard. The Who are just about impossible to imitate.
Until now...! Holy cow.
Look up Live The Who (The Who Tribute Band) on youtube - much better
Almost.....apart from Keith singing in tune! 😂😂.
Awesome. Quite weird when each member is wearing different era clothing. 😂. Would love to see you guys.
Roger Daltrey looks a lot like Robert Plant xD
And he acts feminine like Robert Plant. Roger Daltrey was way too masculine to impersonate, and his voice was way too unique to imitate.
Shea Tiller well said ......
too tall
omg i was thinking the same thing!!!
He vaguely resembles Plant, just like Daltry did. Neither actually look like Robert however.
Good cover band, the guitarist's looks remind me of Moe and
Shemp Howard
This is too exact to be the who,..but i approve !!!
I was there....happend just after Desert Trip ...Good memories!!!
That extended "who" part came a little bit too early... the awkwardness in his face after he realized it. 4:03 Lmfao.
C' MON ,..PETE didn't have that many peddles !! This is madly like the oooo' though ,.. perfect sloppiness , loudness, awkward parts,..THIS ROCKS - THIS IS THE WHO !!!!
stev stevhoov sloppy?
Your a musician I take it ... lol
Sometimes, loose and confident get confused with sloppy at first glance.
I thought this was pretty tight, considering The Who is probably the most difficult band to copy..
Oh..........Oh, why.....? Make it go awaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!
"Pete" is amazing
Saw the drummer when he did a cool one man show about Keith Moon. The guys sound good but they're all over the place visually: "Pete" is 1965 mod Townshend with an incorrect LP Std, "Roger" is 1969 post-Tommy rock god Daltrey, and the rhythm section is pure mid-70s Who...

I think I'd prefer them in street clothes and just hit beats.
Nice job guy's
The drummer needs to put his back into it .
Exactly! Way too "polite"! And... traditional grip!?!? If you're going to portray Moon the Loon, you better be up for it!
Interesting the guitar taking the bass solo
great ear i wasn't sure if anyone caught as i said above another wannabe who does not have the fingers
@@dr.bassnstein yeah at about 3:30
Great job, you guys got to do something The Who never did, play this song live for an audience with Keith Moon.
speaker tears how cool!
also it shows you just how freaking hard townsend windmills are... cause this fella does not attempt them.
Well done! Noe that Roger Daltrey seemed too close The Who, you are there for us to celebraste their music
Sweet guitar tone!

I always liked The Wholigans, they packed it up a few years back. The Drummer, Darin, was a beast!
Sammy Hager meets who tribute.🥳🥳
Moon looks calm.
As usual .... Camera man ignoring the Ox....😂😂😂 Pete looks alike Jeff Beck....
🤟

Why is this Pete wearing the 60 era while the rest is on 70 era.?
Pete is early 60's, Roger is late 60's, Keith is 70's, and John is sporting 80's attire.
Yea, but it would have been nicer if they dressed in the same era like Woodstock or Kilburn 1977.
Moon didn’t use a high hat, and Moon was a loon. This guy is not even acting like a guy trying to act like Moon the Loon. Additionally he should hold the sticks in Kieth’s fashion.

keith rockin the traditional grip

tribute band trying to look like thunderfingers
Super awesome just the guitarist needs a little bit more reverb

Not a bass solo, that’s Pete playing on the original record.
close..but, no cigar.
although, I imagine they would nail slip kid. they've got that by numbers vibe down.
Slip kid is awesome, only The Who could come up with that 45 gem, ps love the detail the four guys put together on stage.
Even in cover bands, no camera on John lol
Keith Moon NEVER held his sticks traditional
This song era , they would not be dressed like this.
Erm...sorry...but Keith NEVER used traditional grip!
Pretty good. Hey drummer learn to play matched grip. Traditional doesn't cut it with Keith. And add the row of concert toms. 1967 kit doesn't work with newer stuff. Guitarist needs a red Gibson SG. My God, you guys must be older than the actual members. The wigs help.
its not grungy enough not enough crunch.
They don’t take it for serious. Unfortunately, The Who is no band to fool around with.
keith moon holding his sticks traditional grip? FAIL.
A tall Roger Daltry? Thi is weird. Cannot watch.
Daltry doesn't have an American accent 🤣
Not bad for a bunch of Yanks! Lol!
L'impugnatura delle bacchette non è in stile keith...
Dean bass, not an alembic? pfft
Singer is too tall lol
I hate tribute bands! 😹
sad-- rock is dead - nothing but sad tribute bands overcharging to see a cover band --- rock is definitely dead pathetic and sad
its just wrong - make your own songs
This is why I hate tribute bands.
Save for Chicagovich.
VERY POOR.
