Less than a week away from the House series finale, I just can't believe it is coming to an end! I spent most of my childhood tuesday nights watching each of his episodes, I was there when Amber died, I was there when Kutner died, I was there when House went delusional, I was there when House was in prison, and I will be there to see the finale. Gregory, it has been the best 8 years of my life watching your show, may your show be a legacy of what a true medical drama has to be like! RIP

What's this beautiful song really about? anybody know?
Surely only if they could replace all of her blood, they would have to remove ALL of her blood, then give her entirely new blood, which is not only near impossible but there's no way to remove all of the poisonous substance, so even if they could do it, and find enough blood to give her, AND her body didn't reject any of the blood, she still wouldn't be able to get a transplant for any of her failed organs, she was too far gone, it's a shame but there you go...

@emma o I watched this episode a lot when i was depressed a few years ago.
The part people keep leaving out of the quote, the part that hits me the hardest is : '*I lied*..I don't want to be in pain, I don't want to be miserable, I don't want him to hate me'.

I watched this scene and cried, and watched it again, and cried again, and watched it again, and cried again....
Amber's death in House was the second time in my life that I've cried over something on TV. Though, TV shows aside, this is such a beautiful song and I am so grateful that I am able to listen to it.

One of the very first times that I've heard a song on a television show, where: I actually stopped everything that I was doing...literally frozen in place, out of the sheer beauty of the tune...and, after the song/episode was finished: I made it my absolute DUTY to find said song, and play it with consistency, from that point forward.

Think it's pretty clearly as someone else said, a song about two people who couldn't be together. He sings about her as years have passed, thinking about her and wondering if she thinks about him, despite her life being complete with her husband and children.
This will forever be one of my favorite songs and "There are things that drift away like our endless numbered days" was my senior quote. :)

I thought the same way and after seeing the movie of Sherlock always had pretty sure that was how the House would end.
The the first four chords in every measure are D-E-A-D. Nice insight to the song? Coincidence? Not trying to make any point or stance. Could be nothing. A song written from the perspective of a dead husband? I wrote a paper on it. Just a thought.
