Great vid. There’s a few vloggers pointing out that Dyfi’s feasible for most: a great thing! Couple of things I’d add is firstly the progression available there is huge (hence the range of riders who use it to enjoy riding and train) and that there’s great coaching too: the best upgrade for you and your bike 🎉
Great points, thanks for sharing. Definitely great progression there, Super Swooper and Lovey Dyfi are easy enough for anyone. Even the harder tracks are rideable and reward you more, the better you get. This was our second trip and can’t wait to come back!
Who did you have coaching with? I can see there’s a few coaches..
@@Ordinary-Dad-MTB My next two days being coached are later this week by Riley Scott and Becky Skelton - I’m too shy to ask the others 😂
@@Coolcmsc good call, imagine being coached by Dan Atherton! Have a great time 🤘
Thanks for this perfectly timed video. First visit for me on Saturday, slightly nervous as my only riding recently has been Golfie and Surrey. I always panic about taking my time down tracks like this, worried someone will be peaved, speeding up behind me. Super excited to see the place properly now.
You’ll love it! I understand the pre ride anxiety. It is a step up from other bike parks but also many of the trails can be ridden slowly until you get familiar. Start off with Lovey Dyfi into Super Swooper and go from there. Have a good one. Let me know how you get on 👍
Perfect trail for to run your hardtail before going up to more difficult terrain and needing a full suspension
Respect to you buddy 👊 I’m not sure I’d tackle it on a hardtail. What hardtail do you ride?
Just happened across this video. Good overview, the bottom section really caught out a couple of guys I was riding with when I did it.
Thank you. Yeah that lower bit is properly gnarly. I’d like to try bits of it again on a dryer day, if there is such a thing in north Wales 🤣
Well riden bud. Would live to get down there but its 7 hours away. That is flipping stunning rig u have, proper dream bike
Thanks bud. It’s the only bike I’ll ever need! Dyfi is well worth the visit. It’s 5 hours up from us so a bit of a trek. We went twice in two weeks 🤣 it’s that good. Trying to figure a time to get back next month. Probably worth making a weekend of it 🤘
Well u have convinced me. Heading to dyfi next month, cant flipping wait.
A little worried about tyres though. Do u think DD casing will be OK or are proper DH tyres req? Thanks
@@ab_mtbgreat to hear! You’ll love it!
I think you’ll be just fine on double down casings. My lad was on DD rear and Exo+ front with no issues. They sell Conti’s in the shop too just in case you get unlucky (which could also happen with DH casings to be fair).
Have a great time and let me know how you get on 👍🤘
@@Ordinary-Dad-MTB thanks for the info bud. Spotted a cracking deal on DD assegai so I'll prob just pick them up for the trip 🤟🤟
great video mate! Just about to move back to UK from canada and excited to try DYFI out. This was helpful.
Thanks mate! I’m glad it was helpful. I’d love to ride in Canada. Hope you enjoy Dyfi, I’d be interested to hear how it compares to Whistler 👍
@@Ordinary-Dad-MTB I lived in Whistler for 3 years it has such a massive amount of terrain and a descent that can last around 20 - 30 minutes. I think moving back to the UK I'm going to be shocked at how short the trails are, but I'm looking forward to practicing my Mud riding hahah.
@@NextLevelRiding wow, 20-30mins! That’s a long trail! I thought Terrys Belly at Bike Park Wales was long 🤣🤣
Whistler rocks uk sucks what you thinking that’s all I got to say 😃
@@dhfurioushaha yeah I get that, but it’s been 20 years of not seeing my parents so it’s time to do the right thing. 😉 Biking will still be there when I get back to canada. 🤙🏼
Love the vid mate! My arm is still a bit smashed up from that crash 😅
Cheers mate! That was a gnarly crash! We need to book up again 🤘
Such a great video, you’ve captured the essence of the best (& my personal favourite) track at Dyfi👌. I’ve also been plucking up the courage on a number visits and recently got comfortable with it which I was absolutely stoked about! I also documented it on my channel. It would be great to meet/ride with you one day bud. Cracking choice of rig btw👌
Thanks Phill 👍. I watched your helpful video a bunch of times before this trip. It definitely helped me familiarise myself a bit! I’d definitely be up for riding together sometime. Atherton day out! 👌👍
decent video footage buddy
im there in few weeks again looking forward to it again
Thanks bud. Have a good one. There’s something about Dyfi that makes you want to keep returning isn’t there!!
That greasy slab has caught out so many people, me included 😂
It’s so so slippery. I honestly don’t know how anyone manages to ride it!? 🤣
I've done race track afew times, it gets your attention everyti e you ride it.
It sure does! One of the best that I’ve done at Dyfi. Did you manage the lower section?
@Ordinary-Dad-MTB yeah, I've done all of racetrack at dyfi even in the wet. It's madness to do it in the wet if you're not a pro, or an Atherton! 💪😂
@@jez5180fair play mate! It was like ice on bits of that lower section when we went. I expect a bit more speed and flow would help. Maybe next time!!
@Ordinary-Dad-MTB dyfi is best at speed or you hit every bump and drop at the wrong angle. The lower part on race track is tricky at the best of times. I've even seen someone in the netting before 😂
@@Ordinary-Dad-MTB when you next at dyfi?
💪
At least youve future proofed not needing to upgrade your bike ever🤣 Sweet rig!
Thanks bud, you’re right there, it’s all I’ll ever need and more!! 🤣. Thanks for the watch
You might as well ride an enduro bike that DH is wasted...
This is the second “average guy” video in 2 days. Its a business, if you couldn’t ride it the place would have closed within a year.
Bet you £20 you cant clear the tec section on climax over the road though 😂
