This was by far...... The best top gear review of all times ... I don't get tired of seeing over and over again ... So sad now top gear is gone but for all of us they left us quite good memories
Made me cry. Long live N/A engines and long live Jeremy clarkson
The United States is still doing N/A V8’s, at least on base models, and they still have the power and soul, and the sound
reminds me when I had possibility to drive Ferrari Scuderia F430 :)
20 best minutes of my life ever and breaking my speed record back then 150km/h (these days personal record is 175km/h done with different type of car) but when you drive once Ferrari.. its thing you never forget in your life. It made me thank Enzo Ferrari even more for giving us such legend like Ferrari is.
Cynderfan35 lol ive done 195 in a 205 GTI
Lol only 150 in a ferrari,i cruise at 180 in my bmw
It doesn’t matter if you’re watching this in 2023 or even 3023, the 458 is a literal artist’s masterpiece in car form
i saw the 458 speciale at the ferrari museum in maranello and it's even better!!!that's an incredible car!
Jeremy was right: This is one of the all time greats.
Took me 10 years to fully understand
So James' car at 0:01 is YN55 NEO ... the one the Stig gets into at 0:44 is RX55 FTZ. Strange?!
no, when the race begins the plate is YN55 NEO as they're accelerating
Fabio da costa Yes I noticed that. I reckon the NEO plate is the false one ... it looks like it was just made ... whereas the FTZ looks older and is probably James's real number, which they let slip at that one moment at 0.44. That's my take on it anyway :-)
Mehh who knows but I read in the lower comments somewhere on where as James made a mistake, people were saying that but now I doubt it because the plate is at the front and back and its a different color so he couldn't have made a mistake but who knows they might of just switched the plates and not the car but who knows
Fabio da costa If I remember correct James also had a convertable not a hard top
yea, you're actually correct. Therefore I'm not sure why the changed the plates.
15 years old and it's still wonderful, it has such clean yet modern lines that will make it a timeless classic. She aged 355, 360 and 430 the moment she was born. You have to go back to before the 90s to find Ferraris so aesthetically clean and wonderful.
Over 10 years later still in love with this car. Best Ferrari ever made. Such a beautiful machine.
James' car ia gone
Its just a humiliation.
This man deserves an Oscar.
9 years later.. I still love the 458. For me the best Car review ever
Was my all time favourite Ferrari. The last non-turbo V8 in their mid-engine cars…
And now I have driven one.
And now I want one a LOT.
A like for the awesome editing team, and scene editors.
I ve watched this review every year since it was aired ... it’s fantastic ... these three fellas were just pure fun . The golden era of Top Gear
It’s 2023 this design is timeless
Finally got one lads, thanks for keeping my dream alive Jeremy. Came to write it here the day I got it. 4 days and she'll be in my garage.
5:18 James: "I'm going to kill that bloody old bloat!"
It isn't James car because at 0:44 the number plates different
Plot twist : James bought the wrong number plate for the front of his F430
it's true
eagle eyed chap!!
You're good
Charlzey1998 they switch them out so you can't find his house
9 years later...this car never gets old
Beast
Probably the best Top Gear car review. Simply iconic.
I'm not that much of a car guy, but if someone asked me to imagine a Ferrari, I would instantly think of that 458 or a 360 Modena.
6 1/2 years later, i still need one in my life
Got it yet mate?
Got it now?!?
"The engine sounds like a bear...A burning bear". hahahaah
I shed real tears when I saw this on TV for the first time.
-What can make a Ferrari look slow?
-I dont know....oh wait.... a Ferrari
😂
Still worth $200k today - and I'd gladly pay it. One of the best, and best-looking, they've ever made.
I actually prefer the 458 over the 488. To me it is better looking.
And NA V8
Yes,to anyone with good taste it's better looking. I will own one!
This is when too gear was at its best. Very simple and unique. Jeremy is top gear
The 458 was the starting of a different breed of designs and engines. And that’s why the 458 is so special here! 🔥💯
This is why the 458 is my dream car
The 458 really was peak Ferrari
I think the 488 pista was. At least from an aesthetic point of view
I was in middle school when this car came out and honestly I knew nothing about cars at all but for some inexplicable reason I literally fell madly in love with this car and it ignited my obsession with cars. Not too long after I fell for the Alfa Giulia. I now own a Giulia so that only leaves the 458 on my bucket list.
Sweet machine! Love when engineering is done right.
