This is the end Hold your breath and count to ten Feel the earth move and then Hear my heart burst again For this is the end I’ve drowned and dreamt this moment So overdue I owe them Swept away, I’m stolen Let the sky fall When it crumbles We will stand tall Face it all together Let the sky fall When it crumbles We will stand tall Face it all together At skyfall At skyfall Skyfall is where we start A thousand miles and poles apart Where worlds collide and days are dark You may have my number, you can take my name But you’ll never have my heart Let the sky fall When it crumbles We will stand tall Face it all together Let the sky fall When it crumbles We will stand tall Face it all together At skyfall
Again, you can hear more Alto than Horn, however you can hear the distinct difference of pitch between the two instruments. You can really hear the Horns at 2:20. Even Clarinets are covered up, which is a little uncommon.
I love playing the horn. Ever since my band teacher introduced it to me after my first year on trumpet. Now I play horn in concert band and trumpet in jazz
Thanks for uploading this i really needed it to figure out how my part went thanks again this really helped me a lot i copied and pasted this because i am in 4th grade and playing this,
I played this at my concerti was the drumset AND I COULD NOT EVEN PLAY THIS AT THE CONCERT AHHHHSHDBFMFMDB Like you know? the tom tom part in this song
This is a prime example of how band music needs to be thinned out. Like seriously, the horns and altos double almost the whole piece, and you cant even hear the bassoons or oboes.
AmethystRemnant the reason u cant hear oboe is because they switch between flute and clarinet... flutes just a different octave from oboe.... im an oboe player
AmethystRemnant This also depends on the grade level of the piece. This being a grade 3 piece (some middle schools or young high school groups), you expect more doubling in case an ensemble is weak in or literally lacking a certain section. Doubling means the part will at least be covered.
Lol, but us french horns don't ever get the melody. We only get off beats...and you complain that the low bassoons can't be heard because they are low, and, well, oboes get no love from anyone...so I understand and want to be devil's advocate because I'm a hornist...
I think that a lot of these arrangements are great, but one of my biggest bugbears is when they change the rhythm of something that is sung and well known. Like the sky-fall is skyyyyy-fall when it's sung and this arrangement has a quick sky. It's really pronounced that it's a simplified version then, and it doesn't need to be so obvious. It's the same with the woahohohoh on the greatest showman flex version. The rhythm is changed. The version that I play in orchestra doesn't have this issue.

+Fakhii Tubist I'm a Tuba player myself, been playing for 7 years now. I played this piece two years ago and did not have a problem reaching those high A's, G's & Bb, But I do see where your coming from. I had 4 other Tuba players along side me and they had a little bit of trouble reaching them & some couldn't reach them at all. 2 of which could reach it but the quality of their Tone did not set standards with our Conductor. I guess it's just a hit or miss with Tubists.
what a great arrangement, without being over-complicated
I’m going to be playing that for my spring concert
Who does not like Jay Bocook's arrangements? They are so awesome! Paul Murtha and Jay Bocook are my two favorite arrangers.
WHERES RANDALL STANRIDGE😡😡

where you go i go
Same
“*I’M YOU*” ahh song
Horns and Alto Sax have most of the major role in this song other than the Trumpet and Clarinet.
Yeah. Like a huge part. I think horns and alto sax play most of the melody.
Hannah the Musician lol this song would've been a first for us altos at my school. We rarely get the melody. Same with horns.
Aaron Graf AstronAaron I'm a drummer and you think you don't get the melody :)
I like that they actually feature Bari sax in the beginning
Yeah.. But his wouldn't be Skyfall without percussion
that horn part bestttt!!!
@Moritz Dodt 👌🏽
Our band is playing this as our end of year concert I think it's a cool arrangement
Same
This is the end
Hold your breath and count to ten
Feel the earth move and then
Hear my heart burst again
For this is the end
I’ve drowned and dreamt this moment
So overdue I owe them
Swept away, I’m stolen
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At skyfall
At skyfall
Skyfall is where we start
A thousand miles and poles apart
Where worlds collide and days are dark
You may have my number, you can take my name
But you’ll never have my heart
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At skyfall

Do you mean timbre? If it was a difference in pitch it would be different notes, timbre is the sound of the instruments.
Boooooooo. Lets gooo saxxxxxxxxx

Skyfall la toco en una banda musical y me gusta bastante porque se parece a la canción intro de WhiteZunder
this sounds amazing but sucks to play if you aren't horn
... ein gutes Arrangement, wo die Tiefbässe gute Akzente setzen könnten,

to be frank, some tuba players aren't that great. how can that be possible to them to reach the high notes?
Fakhii Tubist Most of the composers aren't tubists. Don't worry I share your pain.
+Fakhii Tubist I'm a Tuba player myself, been playing for 7 years now. Fakhii Tubist it’s call practice, and better use that ambersure. Bad at spelling that word. Lol
Eddie Camacho embouchre
Noella Amelia embouchure
Horns get something other than offbeats and mediant notes??!!
…

Bro
At 33 the set player has a dumb part on high hat. A shuffle? Really, Jay? Straight 16'ths would work so much better.
Chino high in chino cali already has that there called the 77th cavalry and call themselves 0077th cavalry
