I have an old derelict goat pen about 75 yards back from my back deck I usually shoot from. It has a backing sheet of corrugated steel. My .22 pellets usually punch right through it. They also go through its 2x4 frame.
The cold weather won’t affect your accuracy in a negative way, but it will slow down your FPS, and your air won’t last as long. You should look into the Avenger .25 caliber if you are wanting to stay with economical PCP Airguns. I bought my father the wood stock version and he loves it. I love to bring my FX Impacts out there and shoot some Prairie Dogs with ya.
Thank you! I know I get more Consistent FPS when it is really hot outside but didn’t know about the cold. I am going to look at the avenger right now I really want a .25 cal thank you for your help!
@@Justin_painter It also depends on your altitude, as to how quickly the pellets slow down and how far they go. When I'm at home in Texas at 650' elev, my pellets won't go nearly as far as when I'm at my parent's place in Colorado at 8550' elev, in which case they shoot really, really far. .Not accurately probably since I don't yet have a PCP rifle, but I can hit tree trunks at 200 yards in Colorado, whereas here in Texas my current pellet rifle won't even shoot that far to begin with. Just an interesting observation! Lol
Great content. You get a gold star for shooting in 11 degrees. I shot snowshoe rabbits in the Swamps of Michigan's upper Peninsula in winter temps that We're brutal. I feel your pain.lol. I feel like you're asking a bit much at anything over 30 yards. You may have the accuracy and skills to get hits But there's not much energy Left in the pellet Truly enjoyed Watching this 😊.
@@billbertagnoli4226 thank you!! lol one of my other videos on the channel I did a penetration test At 75 yards it went through a thick leather glove and through a full beer can. I have been able to successfully hit head shots on Prairie dogs that far.(but I wouldn’t shoot any type of game I was planning on eating simply because I wouldn’t want to wound it but pests are free game at that distance)
Be sure to clean the bore after a few hundred shots or so. The groups start to open up once the barrel starts to get dirty (lead and coating residue for the pellets). I usually use crosman pellgun oil (or something similiar) on patches.
@@Justin_painter ah, so you guys have a lot of laughs pranking lol at my age I couldn't put up with it in my hobbies lol I guess I'm too serious lol but I do a lot of pesting on 14 big farms, so I'd Def have some trouble! Lmao😮😂😂😂
Almost disliked and unfollowed when I saw you were going to shoot that premium beverage Colorado rocky spring nectar of the god's but can confirm you don't want to drink them after they've been aged a year in the sun
Shooting a perfectly good can of beer would have you in jail for 24 - 48 hours. Even if it is Coors where I live. Have some respect and shoot a can of Woke A Cola. I have the Avenger and I try not to reach out more than 40 yards to share some lead with a varmint. I am using a 25 Cal and it will go completely through a 3/4 inch piece of wood at that range. Maintain accuracy and ensure a clean humane kill is my theory. Also, the Avenger can shoot pellets or slugs. I have yet to try slugs but, I am noticing from other channels, the accuracy is even better. Great video and I look forward to more.
@@Justin_painter True that alcohol won't freeze but beer sure will! Leave a can in the freezer and see what happens. LOL Still enjoyed the video of the QB Chief. I've had one for a few years now but since I bought the FX Dreamline in .25 cal I don't get it out as much. Maybe have to do that this weekend and show it some love too.
What are you talking about? He used like 4 shots to sight it in. Do you not know how to find your holdover? You have to shoot multiple rounds at distance to find the average drop of the pellet he wasn’t sighting the rifle in.😂

Please post more pest control with the beeman qb chief I just got me one after watching your videos
This was the video that made me decide to buy one.
I know mine was worth every penny. I enjoy it way more than my $700 air rifles.
Great Video..!
That buddy must have really cranked the turrets a lot on your scope. You had that rifle dialed in before really good! I'd be pissed😮😱
Haha it was all in good fun I have done way worse to him 😂

I was going to get a chief 22. But that bolt twitch is turning me off on it ......should I get 1 any way ???
Love this video 👍
Nice video
Good video 👍. I think RUclips is not sending me all of my notifications. I believe that hunters, shooters and airgunners are suppressed by RUclips.
Sorry I’m just now seeing this RUclips gave me a strike and I wasn’t able to upload because of airgun Content 🤣🤣

Why does your bolt jump up after each shot? Is that a risk?

This is the one without a magazine right? can you get a magazine attachment/mod for it?
is it available in a .77 and a .25 also?
Good stuff. Just subscribed.
Thank you sir it is an honor you are, by far my most famous subscriber😂
I really like that little rifle. But is there anything you can do to stop the bolt from twitching when it's fired ???
Do more videos with this rifle.

Those cans of beer are almost 3 years old I think I put them down with dignity haha thanks for watching
have you tried dieseling the barrel?
have you dieseled it?

Thank you!
How much drop 👀at 75 yds??Thanks
I shot the drop in the video. Haha I new this was going to be asked so I made sure to include it.

Do you know if Beeman 3317 - Magazine fits this rifle? and is there any regulators that works in this tube?
great question!
Hey you should do a cleaning video on the Beeman it would be really cool
What ammo you using?
What brand of scope?what power? What pellet?
I say it in the video I was using Premier hollow points 14.3 green and the scope is it just a Nikon deer rifle scope
You were giving distances in yards so I am assuming the 11° is Fahrenheit? The can of soda would have been frozen at that temp!
These were filmed on different days so the temperatures got warmer and that is why I was using beer not soda alcohol doesn’t freeze.

I’m surprised it when through the glove at 75 yards. I think that’s pretty good for a pellet gun
Just curious you said it 11 degrees outside but you should be able to see your breath???
It rarely ever gets picked up on the camera and also this was filmed over the course of three different days
What kind of shooting sticks you use?
Don't waste that beer to not do it, sticking orange inside the glove, do not waste the beer
That beer has been sitting outside since branding season last year (about 7 months old 😂)
We would have had to fight don't u touch my mfn scope u pull the trigger n hold the stock do ever to a man's scope sir
choppy edits are annoying
Then watch something else👍 my camera was messing up
Seriously- do you not know how to sight a rifle without using dozens of rounds?
I took 4 shots to sight the rifle in (with a four shot confirmation group on Bullseye). I was shooting for groups at the 75 yard distance idiot
