    😆 called it before I even watched the video. Just fixed a 289 someone put a 50 ounce on with a t5 swap in a 66. 1500 rpm vibration fixed 👍 good call chris!

    Can't say how many times I've run into this problem, with strokers, 5.0 swaps into old cars, C4 swaps, 351 Windsor swaps, pretty much everywhere a balance mismatch can occur in the Wide World of Ford. It's this kind of thing that makes the GM and Mopar crowd badmouth Fords, but when you know the basics on how the various engines were balanced, it's second nature.

    Doing the same build on my 88-091 Saleen right now, albeit I’ve stepped it up a little over this car. I’ll be at Motor City Foxfest with it. Thanks for the content

    what a relief when the job is a success after setbacks, right? this video reminds me of the old joke about the gynocologist who becomes a mechanic and rebuilds the engine through the exhaust pipe.

    agreed !!!
    take a set back .. my 87 GT spent months after a new motor /new heads and used (original parts here and there) with black smoke at startup wouldn't run right wouldnt time right...checked every thing 3 times still no good ,sent in the computer for a rebuild ,new fuel pump, another harness.. rebuilt the original injectors, new TB, different distrib,new spark plugs, new wires, all that and come to find out while the injectors worked 1 or 3 of them were staying open instead of pulsing. put some explorer 4 hole injectors in just as a last effort before i bought a used motor to replace it. first start up after that ran smooth and zero black smoke ......
    and you are not taking it to any shop as they plug stuff in now (obd2)and if no plug then well there are not interested in your headache (ask me how i know this) watch videos like this and READ the Commets alot of knowledge in there as well !

    Whoever welded that exhaust needs their head examined. Just like you have V band clamps at the header collector you can install another set of V band clamps behind the X on the X pipe in order to make the X pipe removable. Makes installing and removing the transmission MUCH easier.....

      I did not want v -bands . The best shop in the DFW metroplex did the exhaust .it’s a work of art .

      @@christianray6939 Hello Chris. Thank you for replying to my post. I did not realize that's how you wanted/designed it. I thought the exhaust shop had a design flaw. I agree it's a work of art. I believe with the extra V-band clamps it would still be a work of art. I have full exhaust out the back and cut outs out the side with several V-Band clamps and I think it looks great. Anyway, great channel and great content. Thank you for doing what you do!!!

    I've got an 87 I saved from being a roller for 16 years. I put a 96 explorer 5.0 in it with a new clutch and harmonic balancer. It vibrates like crazy at high rpm, I'm thinking its the parts store clutch and flywheel (LUK). The HB came from LMR. Have you ever ran into that with a parts store clutch setup?

    • @AwakeDude911
      @AwakeDude911 9 месяцев назад +1

      id suspect the LUK fly wheel or the weights are off some where or the CAR bushings are all rotted out ??

    • @RedHammerBodyShop
      @RedHammerBodyShop 9 месяцев назад

      @@AwakeDude911 no it's not the bushings. New motor and trans mount, does it in neutral just reving, clutch in, clutch out, or going down the road. The fact that it does it while the car is stopped, with trans in gear, and clutch pressed tells me it's gotta be the flywheel/pressure plate. I mean I've built many engines and they are all fine. But this explorer motor is unopened other than I installed an 86 gt stock cam.
