I love Wheeler's deck, I have a Jared deck that is also a stuffy doll deck. Thing of note, blazing sunsteel on a brash taunter is actually infinite, because you can use the trigger from the equipment to repeatedly shoot the taunter and then use taunter to punch your opponents to death. Nice game!
As an aside: notably, auras your opponents control do not make creatures you control modified. However, any attached equipment will modify a creature, regardless of the controller.
Brash Taunter and Sunsteel is actually an infinite combo. Sunsteel damage can target the creature holding the Sunsteel, retriggering Sunsteel and BT, meaning you can machine-gun down each opponent.
The master of commander entertainment wheeler is reason enough to click in!!
41:25 I'm not sure if it would have changed anything, but copying the Mightstone and Weakstone spell with Drafna isn't creating a token for the Worldwalker Helm, so Aaron shouldn't have gotten a map token. Great game, though!

@professorpantherhardraad3921 Yeah, but he also drew 5 cards in his turn, and still Wheeler still ended up winning, so I think it didn't change anything about the end result
I love Wheeler. He always has great energy and makes me crack up every time. Also he has this incredible habit of playing decks that are amazing content that are hilarious to watch but that I would absolutely hate to actually play against. P.S. Ben if you're reading this the aviators are really working for you, never take them off.

Question: Am I misreading or is blazing sunsteel + brash taunter + any damage to the taunter = instant death loop to everyone? Because you can redirect the sunsteel's damage back to the taunter to re-trigger both abilities and use the taunters trigger to damage opponents each time you do the loop. Totally understand if they didn't want to play it that way.
That is correct! Wheeler could have killed the table with the infinite loop that he had on board.
I'm pretty confident Wheeler is aware of that and thought this was more fun.

It's so funny, I originally didn't like Wheeler, but he has grown on me so much to the point where he may be my favorite MTG personality, definitely in the top 5.

Aaron coulda made a coupla more copies of Mightstone and Weakstone there on his last turn, clearing Wheeler's board, but I assume was afflicted with a classic case of Bobble-blindness. Fun game!
He kept the original since he had already tapped the token for mana. He then used it to cast the Mirrorworks. I get *why* he decided on that line of play but it definitely cost him.

And I have a Baubles deck too! The sixth doctor (simic) is my commander. Generally finishes with 5 or so copies of enormous Darksteel colossus, but have dabbled into the rolling 13 dice for the luck Bobbleheads. 😆

Wheeler builds decks the way I aspire to. I have started just making absolutely goofy stuff that somehow makes my opponents life totals 0 and it's phenomenal

A copy of a permanent spell resolving does not "create" a token for the purposes of Worldwalker Helm. The copy of a permanent spell becomes a token when it resolves. Of note, any sort of token doubling or increasing effect does not work with copying permanents.

38:46 correct me if I’m wrong, Wheeler can just win here, by any damage to Brash Taunter. He needed to save the Blazing Sunsteel before the fight trigger, but when Brash Taunter takes damage, the Sunsteel can just target Brash Taunter, and instantly win the game. Maybe he didn’t want to combo out like that, but the extra steps to shoot Shivam and use the Mogg/Stuffy Doll was just unnecessary flash
I am little surprised Aaron decided to legend rule the token of The Mightstone and Weakstone. He could have continued to make tokens of the token with the Worldwalker Helm.
Unfortunate that Aaron hadn't kept the token The Mightstone and Weakstone as he could have copied it with the Helm to get rid of the doll. Might have been able to steal the win that way.
He also could have copied it with sculpting steel on the later turn and probably have won!!!

the copied mightstone and weekstone wouldn't technically make a map tokem because a copy of a spell resolving isn't a token being created, it just resolves as a token

I’m not sure if Wheeler realised he had an infinite combo or not. Blazing Sunsteeo plus Brash taunted is infinite. You just have the sun steel hit the taunter, trigger both, taunter hits face sunsteel hits taunter, repeat. There’s a good chance he saw it and just didn’t want to go for it for fun value, but it’s also possible he didn’t see it

Weird rules pedentry, Aaron shouldn't actually make a map from the helm when the Drafna copy happened, because a copy of a permanant spell is different from making a token
Can you elaborate? Drafna's ability says "The copy becomes a token", so I'm confused as to why it wouldn't work.

I think Bill was mistaken about the order of damage replacements. I believe the player being affected chooses the order so they can choose to double first then apply the one.

Minsc and boo are great but the only thing I don't like it can be interacted with before you get to activate because it's etb effect of putting boo into play uses the stack. Been so many times I would play it and then it be removed as boo comes into play

@@starmanda88 No, it's right. You can't activate a loyalty ability if there's a spell or ability on the stack, and Minsc & Boo have an enter the battlefield trigger that creates the token. That trigger uses the stack and can be responded to, so players can remove Minsc & Boo before the token is created (and before they can activate one of its loyalty abilities).
Did i miss something or stuff doll shoud not work at the end of game ? Shivan was the "chosen" player if I am correct.
Stuffy Doll's trigger won't do anything, but the Blazing Sunsteel attached to the Doll will still work fine and will deal damage.
why does the card back has 6 colors at the beginning of the video?
Bill I’m sorry to say but actually the damage modifiers/replacement effects are chosen by the affected player. They stack the modifiers in an order of their choosing and not the owner of the permanents. I learned this the hard way when I played Ojer Axonil with multiple replacement effects.
That's what he said, and the one time it sort of came up he asked wheeler what order the effects would apply to the damage coming at his creature.
Bill explained it correctly to Shivam, Shivam picks how he wants the effect if he, or a creature he controls, is the target.
