As we enter the summer season, many families will eat macaroni salad with a grilled hot dog or burger, and not think anything of it. So it is very interesting to see these folks try it for the first time. And he was right that, if you put enough veggies in it, it could be a complete meal.
What like the best about macaroni salads is you can change up the ingredients to suit how you like. One of my favorites is with tiny spicy chicken meat balls , celery, parsley, red pepper flakes, carrot, and cherry tomatoes with a aioli mayonnaise.
Older man really did not care for it, he complimented it, but only ate one or two bites! Auntie loved it, and I bet she took the leftovers home with her to eat later! HA HA
In my family we use a vinegette dressing without mayonnaise for improved shelf life. I often add mayonnaise when serving. I also keep meat on the side for shelf life. Any benefits to visiting Muslims is purely coincidental.
OK OK OK Like this it's mostly eaten as a side dish. Eaten with a meat and vegetable of your choice. As an example a hot dog on bread / bun and or a hamburger on a bun and a ear of cooked corn and then the macaroni salad. To make that macaroni salad a stand alone dish. We add twelve ounces of canned tuna ( or same amount of canned chicken if you don't have left over from last nights meal ) . Then maybe a small amount extra mayonnaise just to keep it from being to dry. Then we have that as a light stand alone dinner. Just talking about it I'm off to make some for tomorrows dinner.
Great video greetings to naveed auntie sobia and aziz.❤❤❤I'm european and not familar with this salad i much prefer normal salad with no dressing except maybe a bit of heinz salad cream😊😊😊😊
I have made pasta salad many times. Have never made it with mayonnaise because I think that stuff is nasty. There are many types of dressings to use but often I just like a tad bit of apple cider vinegar and seasonings. Also, I love to add a lot of different types of olives. A few veggies like corn, tomatoes, peppers, and broccoli. Chunks of chese or shredded. And top with sesame seeds or pistachios. This is something I would frequently take to work for lunch, especially if no refrigerator available. Also easy meal for getting away from the building to have lunch at a nearby park.
Yeah, any mayonnaise-based salads should be kept cold, as they're relatively perishable and can spoil or go bad [bacteria growth] fairly quickly if left out at room temperature for long periods. Getting "food poisoning" is no fun...
Macaroni salad, or potato salad are both good as side-dishes served alongside other things at barbecues, etc. Goes well with many foods as an accompaniment.
I make mine with Old Bay seasoning and the tiny shrimp. So good.

Glad they liked
I swear Aunties (Aunty's?) eyes are going to pop out of her head the way they light up so much lol.
To make it even better add a can or 2 of drained tuna fish!
Macaroni Salad is an American creation, not European.
I love summer salads.
These people eat way better and more often than I do.

The only veggies I use is onion. Tuna fish is pretty good as well.

I've NEVER had tuna in a salad like this. Even as a kid. I loathe tuna anyway. I've normally made it with chicken.
I've never seen tuna put in macaroni salad. It's not in what's pre-made at the store either!
