Well welcome! If you think you might like D&D I recommend watching Fantasy High (first episodes on RUclips) or the Adventure Zone podcast, they'll give you a pretty good idea of how the game is played!
lol. That's me 34yrs of age, never got into it passedbuying a 4th edition starter set and letting it get lost after collecting dust. And having a 5th edition collecting dust for the past year. But Piccolo is awesome and now I'm going to learn the game and stop by that little place I found in my town where people gather to play these tabe top games

Yes! Thats why he was always my fave Z warrior, he might not have always been the strongest, but he always had a way to outsmart stronger opponents and stall.
I think Wisdom actually fits Piccolo better to be honest, Int in D&D doesn't really help for anything combat related as much as Wis does mechanically and Piccolo isn't a math or history buff type anyway. That's why Gohan is a smart person, but not a very Smart fighter as he can't really read his opponents and constantly gets tricked by Piccolo.
Pretty much. Though I would probably argue that it's only when Piccaolo merges with Kami, does he get Kami's insights and experience. Up to that point he was a great fighter and an instinctive warrior, but that's all he ever was, spending all his time in the wilderness training to kill Goku, that and he was really young, only about 8 to 10 years old when he finally merged with Kami proper so he just never had the time or opportunity to really learn. He was basically the polar opposite to Kami who knew practically everything that happened in the world from many decades of observations but his fighting days were far behind him. It was only when he merged that he gained the best of both worlds. Basically, gaining a Helm of intellect. That and outsmarting an opponent really doesn't mean a great deal in DB. If you are weaker, then you get slapped. What was more important was knowing when or not to throw down the chips; like Goku probably dumped Wisdom because while he was an amazing fighter, he was *awful* at reading people, which is a trait that comes up time and time again. Piccalo was wise enough to know what the game was just by looking at people. That being said, gaming with the D20 system does have it's limitations. One of the biggest flaws with E5 is that intellect a fairly pointless stat for most classes, only wizards cast with intellect and most other classes don't make any meaningful use of that stat.
in DnD "intelligence" is more like book smarts, its wisdom which is street smarts. And i think no on will disagree with me when i say piccolo is a streetwise guy
Honestly thought it was gonna be warlock not sorcerer. And special beam cannon was gonna be Eldritch Blast. I was so looking forward to; "Makacansa.... makako... you know what, f#$k it, ELDRITCH BLAST!"
We need a goku build! I know it may seem basic just variant human sun soul monk with a dip into a barbarian and maybe a magic casting spell to do some spells for goku’s stuff. But I bet he could come up with something interesting
He'd be aasimar, like Superman. Jokes aside it's just the perfect race for human looking aliens, plus it fits his good hearted nature. Goku could hail from a family of fallen aasimars to fit into the fact that Goku was originally supposed to destroy humanity.
I made a pretty effective (albeit not character-true) Chiaotzu in Pathfinder not long ago. A Halfling Archanist (with optionally taking a level in Monk, just for the sake of physical fighting, though you shouldn't be getting close to anyone with this build). Racial trait: Creepy Doll (which gives you pale skin, rosy cheeks, and wide staring eyes) - This lets you roll stealth even outside of shadows (but not in sight of anyone) by just going limp and acting like a doll. It also removes the penalty for Intimidation checks on any creatures larger than you. As soon as you can afford it, get some Boots of Levitation, or any item that lets you cast Fly on yourself at will if you can afford it. Arcanists cannot wear armour of any kind, so you want to stay as far away from melee combat as possible. Word of warning though, because Levitation only lets you move up and down (not in any other direction), my DM played it that I'd lose any Dex-based AC while in the air, so you basically become a pin-cushion for archers. If your DM decides this too, make sure there are no ranged enemies around before taking to the skies. Arcanists are more versatile Wizards. They still have to prepare spells at the beginning of a day, but unlike Wizards and other spellcasters who have to specifically memorise each spell per spell-slot, Arcanists prepare a number of spells per day, and can use any other spells as many times times as they like, limited by their number of spell-slots. For example, if you have five Lv1 spell-slots as a Wizard, you could memories 3 Magic Missiles, 1 Shield, and 1 Ray of Enfeeblement. Those would be your spells for the day, and you can only use what you prepare. With an Arcanist though, you could prepare Magic Missile, Shield, Ray of Enfeeblement, Burning Hands, and Sleep... and then during the day you might decide to use 2 slots for Magic Missile and 3 for Shield, or cast Sleep 5 times, etc. Due to that versatility, my character was able to load up on a number of skills and then fight or defend as the need arose. However, he basically became an aerial bombardment specialist, floating up out of reach and then raining fire down on melee opponents (laughing maniacally while doing so, of course lol) In honesty, the character was more of a DBZ-esque character, but embodied by Chiaotzu. Given how few attacks the character has in the show, I had to expand it a little by giving him attacks from other DBZ characters, as well as changing style (though not alignment) mid-play. I gave him the following: *For his basic energy blasts, you had Magic Missile. *For his telekinetic abilities, I gave him spells like Shadow Trap (to hold foes in place), Sleep and Hypnotism, Shield, Burning Disarm, and Admonishing Ray... as well as the obvious cantrip, Mage Hand. *For his signature moves, I used Burning Hands as a replacement for Dodonpa, and Scorching Ray for his Super Dodonpa *Finding it a bit lacking, I delved into other techniques Chiaotzu would have learned from his friends. In this case, I used Flare Burst and Burst of Radiance as forms of Solar Flare from Tien, and when he was high enough in level I gave him Fireball as a sort of Spirit Ball from Yamcha. *However, as I said, I ended up changing him somewhat throughout the game. I started to make him more darker and hellish, like he was actually a little demon... giving him spells like Protection from Good, Corrosive Touch, and Swarm of Fangs... and to top it off, he got a very nice Arcanist Exploit (a special move for his class, gained every 3rd level) called Damnation Susurrus Su. In short, if the target failed a Will save, then a hellish chorus would start singing in their head, causing them to start of go insane, dropping whatever they're holding and start clawing at their head to make it stop, taking 1d6 dmg. *Finally, because the whole party knew it was meant to be a joke character, and kept joking about how I was going to blow myself up, during the final battle, the DM allowed me to use a homebrew version of the spell "Final Sacrifice" on myself (it's supposed to be used by Summoners to turn their Eidolon into a bomb)... but just as I was about to use it, our ranger got a critical shot off and killed the necromancer we were fighting... so Chiaotzu blew himself up in vain, just like in the show XD
I personally think Str and Con should be switched around. Piccolo’s not a brute. You almost never see him training his physical body. Instead he focuses on mental/vision training and Ki manipulation, his Namekian body being particularly resilient naturally.
Well, he wears weighted clothes all the time, which is the hat/cape combo, so he's pretty much training all the time too. Strength and power levels go hand in hand, which is useful in this build because having strength in your attacks makes each individual attack more effective in DnD, considering the low hit dice. That being said, I can see the compelling argument for that. He can take a lot of punishment and besides, there are some magical items that can get strength to that crazy level. Stick on a belt of giants strength and smash stuff! XD
@@lordbiscuitthetossable5352 aren't the unarmed strikes based on either strength or dex? Strength could have taken a hit as Piccolo uses the weighted armor to move faster.

It's neck and neck in the poll right now, usually I call it when the next video is posted, but Flash and Wonder Woman are tied... not sure what to do about that.
Tabaxi monk with Mobile feat, the amount of speed you can get using a tabaxi ability, the bonus action dash and regular dash you can do as a monk is crazy.
Funnily enough, if you want to build Flash... it is easier in Shadowrun. For context? Initiative affects how many times you can take in a single combat turn, which is only 3 seconds. For the average PC, they will likely react twice, being in the 11-20 initiative range. If you have the max normal agility for a human(6/6), then you can run 24 meters per action turn, making you being able to run 16 meters per second, or around 36 miles per hour. If you are able to get higher in initiative(which is easier than it should be), then you can potentially act 4 times in 3 seconds, making you able to run at 36 m/s with the same agility, allowing you to run around 80 mph. With sprinting, you can add an extra 4 to 6 meters each time you sprint, depending on how many ranks you put in running... so lowballing puts you at 40 m/s, or 90 miles per hour. If you are able to get magic to increase your agility, even temporarily... you push up your character so they can run at mach speeds.
Never forget that Piccolo went from being Goku’s mortal enemy to being trusted to raise a young Gohan by himself in the wilderness. #DecemberTulokRewatch
Here's an idea : for an April Fools episode one year, you should do a character from a DND series on RUclips. Like "here's how you make Grog strongjaw in DND", despite the fact that he's already a DND character
I was a little said when you didn't call 'Tongue of the sun and moon' the 'universal language... English' but I've been binge watching all of these for the past 24hours, so 1/1000 ain't bad :p
Great build. Though to be honest I clicked on this video wondering if you figured out his stretchy arms, but I suppose that’s just Mage Hand. No attacks with it but whatever
If your DM let's you use Unearthed Arcana, one level in the Mystic class gives you access to Giant Growth, which gives you both Piccolo's Giant Form, and gives you an extra 5ft of melee range all the time
Episode 16 of the Fire Emblem stats: Mr. Piccolo. Piccolo's specialties are in brawling (martial arts), reason (mostly the fire breath), faith (ki), and flight (since he flies under his own power). He has heavy armor as a weakness because he's canonically weaker when he wears the stuff. His HP and defense are great due to his regeneration and so are his strength, magic, and speed. However, he's unlucky and his charm isn't very good.
I made my own Piccolo build awhile back. But you should really add cleric as another class. Because namekians are known to heal, and piccolo somewhat manages how to do that. So cleric healing spells will come in handy.
I have to agree with the comment section. In regards of intelligence, he is number two right after Gohan. You should have dropped defense, while giving him healing magic. He gets hurt the most, arm cut off, hole in his schest etc, but has a healing factor.
Shoot, I used the Unearthed Arcana, looks like in the official release the switched that ability for Mental Discipline which gives you advantage on being charmed or frightened. Thanks for catching that!
When I first started watching DBZ, Vegeta was my favorite. But as time went on, I started liking Piccolo more. I do like Vegeta but I hate that only the saiyans got all the attention when everyone used to count in a fight and Piccolo was in particular very strong. He even was as strong as a super saiyan in his base form but Toriyama musta forgot that when he made Piccolo lose to Tagoma like a punk in DBS. I think Piccolo got shafted even even Vegeta now. So I can't wait to create a Piccolo character for D&D. I'm not even gonna tell my group what he is. I'm gonna let them figure it out for themselves.
I'll let you behind the curtain a little bit, Hulk got voted out by Black Widow, but! I plan on doing some bonus videos before Endgame. Spider-Man is on the next Marvel character poll, I would imagine he will win the poll, otherwise he'll be a bonus before Endgame for sure
Homebrew Best Dad Feat: You can take the help action as a bonus action as long as the creature you are helping is younger than you. This creature also gains 1d4 to attack rolls and saving throws if they are adjacent to you when you take use this ability.
@@kelseydutton6568 Maybe throw in, you can use a reaction to take intercept an attack from hitting a younger ally when you are within 5 ft. They take no damage and you fail any related saves and take the maximum possible damage from that attack. (The opponent doesn't roll).
Piccolo is waaaaaay easier than the rediculous Saiyans to figure out, because he doesn't actually have the power up stages of the various levels of being Super Sayjian.
I was thinking this if you went with Wizard and Cleric you could alot of the same stuff except Diamond Soul, Timeless Body and Metamagic. Metamagic is the only thing holding me back from dropping Sorcerer because Distant Spell really fits the special beam cannon
I like the concept as a DBZ and D&D fan but this could be better. I like going with Githzeri, Sun Soul Monk and Soldier background BUT rather than divine soul sorcerer imo you should go light domain cleric for the multi-class and this would work much better. That gets you the cleric spells without having to add charisma for casting as you need wisdom for the monk as well, plus the Flare / Radiance of Dawn ability of light domain can be flavored as the Solar Flare technique of the Z fighters. Also I'd stick with mostly ASI rather than feats though I did take Observant over Alert for similar reasons of being able to sense danger. I'd say Monk 14 Cleric 6. and here's a sample idea: ddb.ac/characters/19644187/WRQJed
@PC_GameWorld um.... are you aware that dungeons and dragons is a pen-and-paper RPG where a “character” comprises of a piece of paper with stats written on it and the rest is filled in with the imagination? “Gameplay footage” of him playing the build would be us watching him roll dice in front of us. So again I must voice my confusion: are you a troll or just unaware of how the game works? I ask without condescension or presumption, only curiosity.
@PC_GameWorld The original IP is a pen-and-paper RPG. It has been adopted to various media, including video games, but this video (and in fact everything on this channel as far as I can tell) is dedicated to the original tabletop game. Look it up if you don’t believe me

Piccolo doesn't need to eat and namekians subsist on water vapor, so Timeless Body makes sense from a lore perspective.

I would really like to see what a shadow the hedgehog move set would be!
I made my own Piccolo build awhile back. But you should really add cleric as another class. Because namekians are known to heal, and piccolo somewhat manages how to do that. So cleric healing spells will come in handy.
I think divine soul should cover it, right?
@malachisullivan4089 it does
If you really worry about the lore, you can make him a Tiefling, Piccolo jr is the son of Piccolo, whom is basically the devil of planet earth
I have to agree with the comment section. In regards of intelligence, he is number two right after Gohan.
You should have dropped defense, while giving him healing magic.
He gets hurt the most, arm cut off, hole in his schest etc, but has a healing factor.
I love his fight against the Android!
There's a Acquisions Incorporated race called Verdan that is basicly a Namek
Where are you getting the Githzerai "Monastic Training" +1 unarmored AC ability? I'm not seeing it anywhere.
Shoot, I used the Unearthed Arcana, looks like in the official release the switched that ability for Mental Discipline which gives you advantage on being charmed or frightened.
Thanks for catching that!
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 No worries! I like the UA version better then it seems, haha. Great video again!
I'd substitute bugbear for race then, it'd get him slightly better racial stats, and their reach would get his stretchy arms, effectively
the best dad is Krillin. And you need to make Krillin in d&d.
You should consider doing some of these builds in Pathfinder because of all the insane options it has.
Well I guess pathfinder encounter lengths match the anime... 🤔
Githzerai don't get eh +1 AC when not wearing armor, unless that was in the UA
So, basically the campaign will consist of doing nothing but screaming for six levels before you make your first attack.
How would you do a Vegeta build then?
So.... scorching ray was his special beam canon?
I thought it was guiding bolt
How about Broly? Im imagining Barbarian/Monk...?
I think CON is important for Piccolo. He concentrates a lot. Regarding Cha Piccolo can only intimidade commoners at the end.
How to play Cloud Strife coming up next?
Ew
Can we get a krillin build
can we get some cosmere characters like kaladin, susebron, and such?
I hope hulk or spiderman is coming soon
I'll let you behind the curtain a little bit, Hulk got voted out by Black Widow, but! I plan on doing some bonus videos before Endgame.
Spider-Man is on the next Marvel character poll, I would imagine he will win the poll, otherwise he'll be a bonus before Endgame for sure
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Ok Thank you
Got a video coming for Vegeta?
Cool character, but I'm disappointing that you didn't tell me how a player character in d&D can regenerate like piccolo.
Only ability I have seen that can do that other than a literal Regeneration spell was a high level Warlock ability from the Pact of the Undying.
Dude, there is homebrew for Namekian.
He doesn't cover homebrew though
Where his clothes beam tho?
all anime characters are Sorcerers by default
Gambit from X-men
No hellzone grenade???
"aliens can't get earth colds"
um... goku's heart virus at the start of the android saga would suggest otherwise
Additionally, how would you formulate a "Best Dad" feat/background for Piccolo? Asking for a friend...
Homebrew Best Dad Feat:
You can take the help action as a bonus action as long as the creature you are helping is younger than you. This creature also gains 1d4 to attack rolls and saving throws if they are adjacent to you when you take use this ability.
Tulok the Barbrarian That is perfect.
@@kelseydutton6568 Maybe throw in, you can use a reaction to take intercept an attack from hitting a younger ally when you are within 5 ft. They take no damage and you fail any related saves and take the maximum possible damage from that attack. (The opponent doesn't roll).
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Hindsight: You can use this for the Unexpected Father background.
I would like a DIO Part 3, please. :3
Yes thanks man what about kid buu
If Monk had Fly & a Beam Attack, you wouldn't need to multi class, lol.
FRIEZA BUILD!
Can you do roshi next
Imo the best character in the dragon ball franchise
I'm surprised he did Piccolo first over Goku or Vegeta
Piccolo is waaaaaay easier than the rediculous Saiyans to figure out, because he doesn't actually have the power up stages of the various levels of being Super Sayjian.
Can you show how to play as Son Goku in d&d
Can you do broly from dragon ball z or dragon ball super or both versions as one
When goku?
DODGE!
Instead of Divine Soul Sorcerer what about War Domain Cleric?
I was thinking this if you went with Wizard and Cleric you could alot of the same stuff except Diamond Soul, Timeless Body and Metamagic. Metamagic is the only thing holding me back from dropping Sorcerer because Distant Spell really fits the special beam cannon
@@monkeycaboose6872 hmm interesting
@@monkeycaboose6872 update: Metamagic Initiate is now cannon with TCE
@@samgafford2371 you sir are a legend
No Saiyan?
Should have been bugbear for the melee reach
Kalashtar would fit him so well, so you can have nail with you (dbza piccolo)
Calling "timeless body" not great for Piccolo is selling it short: he literally doesn't eat. It's totally on brand for him.
You should do future trunks
Nice tfs reference lol
WONDER WOMAN. Are you gonna do all her gadgets? Pleeeeeeeeeeease?
All but one. You have to ask your DM for an invisible jet.
I bearly get this
Githzerai don't get an unarmored bonus
Can you do a majin buu
but piccolo is one of the most wise fighter
I wish I found your channel sooner, before I got kicked from the D&D group.
Are you going to show gameplay or just keep using clips from episodes?
@PC_GameWorld is this sarcasm? Because I honestly can’t tell 🤨
@@SerDerpish title says how to play piccolo in dungeons and dragons, but this video didn't show any gameplay of playing him.
@@SerDerpish I have dungeon and dragons on PC so no its not a drawing game for kids using their imagination
@PC_GameWorld The original IP is a pen-and-paper RPG. It has been adopted to various media, including video games, but this video (and in fact everything on this channel as far as I can tell) is dedicated to the original tabletop game. Look it up if you don’t believe me
Piccolo dumping strength doesn't makes sense, since he is one of the most strategist from dbz. Remember when Buu absorved Piccolo and become super smart?
one word, DODGE!!!!!
