Do you have any idea why my gp800 starts and idles fine and revs up out of water but when we drop it in lake it will only rev up like quarter to half throttle and won’t go over 20mph
Had the same problem. No pressure in the fuel tank. Check your check valve on your fuel sending unit on the tank, gas chap o ring. And fuel sending unit rubber housing for cracking
@@DaveMedicus My issue is the computer thinks it's low all the time I have replaced the sensor twice and the computer, still beeps. I even took it to a Yamaha dealer and they couldn't fix it. They also replaced the sensor and computer and same results. grrrr.... They called me to come get it at no charge. I love the ski.... but it's driving me nuts.
Thank you. I wasn't planning of filming it but I noticed all of the other videos sucked. lol I would recommend still mixing the fuel to the factory ratio to help eliminate problems. Many people advised me I didn't need that much but 20 hours later I ran into problems.
I was running quicksilver for a while at 32:1 then was told that 50:1 was all I needed. Big mistake in my opinion. 40:1 would have been better for me. I did switch to Amsoil and only made it two tanks before the motor locked up on me with 20 hours. I haven't torn it apart yet to find out how much damage there is.
You are god sent thank you 🙏
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching
Loved the video man!💪🏻
Thank you I appreciate it. Thanks for watching!!!
Did you have to mess with the carbs after installing the block off plate or was it ready to go with the factory set carb?
Nope
Not sure what you’re supposed to have the dot aligned with. Wasn’t very clear
I am not sure what dot you are referring to. Thanks for watching!

Resistance requires more fuel. Most likely a fuel related issue. Thanks for watching!
Do you have to do anything to the computer so it doesn't beep all the time?
I left oil in the tank so that the sensor doesn't keep going off.

What oil and premix are running? Did you do any other carb changes like removal of the accelerator pump.
