- András Schiff - Beethoven Lecture-Recitals
Wigmore Hall (London, UK), 2004-06
András Schiff last performed the complete Beethoven piano sonatas at Wigmore Hall from 2004-06 to overwhelming critical acclaim, with the editor of the Guardian, Alan Rusbridger, describing one particular performance as ‘a riveting mixture of erudition, analysis, passion, wit and memory’.
On the day before each of the eight recitals in the series, the world-renowned pianist, pedagogue and lecturer gave a lecture-recital in which he explored the works to be performed. Deeply engaging and insightful, these thought-provoking lecture-recitals, recorded live at the Hall, are available below as eight audio lecture-recitals.

it's amazing how in so many late LvB masterpieces he uses syncopation, All late of his piano sonata (including this one), his late string quartets, etc. Also, increasingly huge sonic spans between right and left hand and violin vs cello in his late string quartets. Greatest music ever composed!
It's a subtle humor it's not cheap humor
A major...that is Love.❤🎼🎹
Incredible

Please... someone can tell me where is the Lecture-Recital of Sonata no.29 op.106 Hammerklavier?
Thanks a lot.🎼🎹
for some reason, I can't find them on RUclips. this is the best i can find: wigmore-hall.org.uk/podcasts/andras-schiff-beethoven-lecture-recitals
I've uploaded them all. See the description for a link to the playlist.
It seems the Op.106 was incorrectly content ID'ed and taken down by RUclips. I'm going to dispute it and hopefully it will be back up again soon.
@@helloitismetomato Yes please, the Hammerklavier is my favourite :))
