- It’s been a long time coming but here is the third and final part in my trilogy of All Seasons of Career Mode videos on the era of Codemasters F1 games that use the tiering system in career mode. F1 2012 produced some surprising champions and then I went through the same process on F1 2010. Will the five seasons of career mode in F1 2011 play out more like we saw in F1 2012, or the more static seven seasons seen in F1 2010?

One point to mention about the R&D times which I forgot to say in the video. The fastest time I did in the Lotus was 1:36.628. Even in tier 4 the Lotus didn’t have KERS whereas the tier 4 Williams did.
The fastest lap time I did in the Williams was a 1:35.335 although that was with KERS so it may seem unfair to say the Lotus is a slower car. However the second fastest lap time I did in the Williams was a 1:35.739 and that was with no KERS usage at all - deliberately so for the sake of comparison.
So even if you take KERS out of the equation, the Williams is still faster both in a straight line and overall than the Lotus despite having less horsepower.
it’s a shame we weren’t able to see the 6th season, because it definitely would have been interesting to see how it unfolded in game!

3 years ago, I watched a video from you about All 5 seasons of Career Mode in F1 2012. This year, I watched this video, which was finally uploaded on June. It makes me feel like I'm back to 2018. It's really worth the wait. Lots of good memories.

I know it is a late reply, but I did that sort of thing with Marussia a while back, even noting positions in championships and podium finishes. Can't find the papers for the life of me, but this is how it went in a nutshell:

Dr: Vettel
Con: Red Bull
2012
Dr: Schumacher
Con: Red Bull
2013

Dr: Kvyat (Real-life driver transfers/team changes are a thing in my career modes)

One important thing: The tier system (at least in my experience) doesn't affect MY car performance, so I had to rely on OP grip & setups, making one less pitstop than the others, and tyre failure glitches (on 50% races for me) to fight for the championships.
Quite the coincidence the first time I watch your channel for months are the f1 2010 and 2012 career videos this morning, the same evening f1 2011 one is out.
In case you'll do one of these for F1 2021 will you compare all the different settings and combinations (fast / slow gain of money and R&D points, also differed in AI vs Player) too or will you stick to one setting?
Probably not. I'll try and work out what the best settings are before my career mode for the video. I doubt it will be worth the time to do a career save with all the different levels.
