  • We catch up with trainer Brendan Walsh the morning after Godolphin's East Avenue romped to a front-running victory over favored Ferocious in Keeneland's Grade 1, $600,000 Claiborne Breeders' Futurity. Among other things, Walsh explains why East Avenue made his debut (an eight-length score at six furlongs) at Ellis Park. Note: After earning an excellent 90 Bris speed figure at Ellis, East Avenue earned a 95 Bris in Saturday's race.
