He well and truly answered all his critics tonight. The way he cruised into contention was beautiful. Brilliant ride on a brilliant horse. English Derby, Irish Derby, Irish champion stakes and a Breeders Cup. A superstar
It wasn't a spectacular win though. His critics would just say that he is ground dependent but there is nothing wrong in a horse not being his best on soft going.
Among European turf horses easily the biggest for the 2023 flat season, and probably fair to say the best 3YO on turf over middle distances anywhere. I would however say a strong case could be made for Equinox in Japan as well. Pretty frightening the ease that he was winning races like the Arima Kinen last December and this season beginning at Meydan in March his win in the Dubai Sheema Classic where he was scarcely ever even off the bridal during the entire race, and then back at Tokyo Racecourse the Tenno Sho(Autumn) and the Japan Cup. Don't get me wrong, Auguste Rodin was my favorite to watch this season also, and to have a 3YO colt good enough to beat the best of his classic generation in the Epsom Derby & Irish Derby, and then defeat top older horses in the Irish Champion Stakes & Breeders Cup Turf is most definitely a tremendous season by anyone standards. I was just making the case that Equinox also belongs in the conversation too, IMO.
Yes, you are right. Ace Impact is another great horse. My sister said Equinox is rated best in the world, and Ace Impact next. I don't really know that much about European racing, Japan. I just really like to follow Coolmore horses. Ace Impact (French) just retired. Check out City of Troy, whom people hope will be the next Nijinsky. He looks just like his sire, Justify, running. @@Martin.Lewis.. ..Ok, I appreciate you love Aidan & so do I. If you’re only talking about a flat trainer, then of course it’s Aidan, but I’m saying trainer full stop. Vincent won 141 group ones, three champion hurdles, three Grand Nationals, four Cheltenham Gold Cups, has won the Triple Crown unlike Aidan, pioneered the introduction of North American breeds into Europe, was the first ever to transfer horses by plane in the world & probably wouldn’t have Coolmore without his influence. Let’s not be childish now, Vincent is incomparable.👍
Some class ride by R.M.
Seriously good turf horse.
I wonder what would have happened if he ran in the classic?
I think he would have been there or there abouts.
Well done to jockey and trainer
I'm a huge AR fan but the Classic winner was so impressive.
People get so excited when they win races like KoS turning up here at the BC.
@@joemac9249"The Classic winner" is all of a sudden, after 2 years a Grade 1 horse! After getting taken over by Dutrow! Miracles never cease..
Moore was lucky ,Auguste Rodin at the crucial moment courageously went through the narrow gap , they were never going to catch him after that . Moore was humble about his luck when he was interviewed afterwards and l have to say l admired him , a little bit of lady luck we all need every now and then . OBrien and Moore 2 great men for lrish racing 💚 .
Jamesbarr who won? Its the result in the end.

I agree.Jockey been painting wi numbers for years.Fraud operation !
No luck whatsoever Moore had only one horse to pass around the last bend. It was either inside or outside didn't matter as he was absolutely cruising. Best horse won without question top class.

He's not going to give his father's name a 2nd place today and it's another 1st place to his name again.
Great run for Auguste Rodin, and an outstanding ride for Ryan Moore.
Well done Ryan Moore

epsom derby irish derby champion stakes breeders cup and champion 2 yr old...you will never see that horse again way too valuable
Great so see a horse give the Derby (and Irish Derby) a tremendous boost and prove that they should never be run shorter than a mile and a half. I hope we get a Breeders Cup for stayers one day. I am sure the Americans would have loved Stradivarius if he ever had the chance to shine over there !
I'm American and I loved Stradivarius..

What a horse. What a jockey. Simples.
King of steel was a good length ahead of winner into the final turn. Out of the turn he's 3 lengths back but going just aswell as the winner. Shocking tactics.
Rodin has beaten King of Steel 3 times , so tactics made no difference
The quickest horse won it.
Brilliant performance..was shouting him home.
Ryan Moore different gravy
Was a great win by the son of Deep Impact. What made it more special was his Grandsire won the Breeders Classic too.
But it was also great to see Auguste go off favourite at 9/4 and deliver the victory.
I think all the European horses were well beaten.
Well done to King of Steel was only 3-4 lengths back after only 2 weeks rest.
Auguste was way back at one stage but Ryan was lucky to have the rail.
I made the biggest mistake of my betting career tonight picking Crowley over Moore I will learn from it and will become a better person
Mate me too, it hurt. I always kick myself when I don’t back Moore… stupid.
Greatest jockey in the world 100^
A dream run on the rail, but luckily the horse 2nd from the rail didn't close the gap on the final turn - or else Ryan wouldn't have got any sort of run.
He showed his class in this race by beating a couple of horses who also lost to Equinox in the Sheema Classic.
We heard how good Mostadaf is as he was 4th to Equinox so here we are. Questions answered in the World Championship
@@joemac9249 Mostadaf has not been consistent throughout the years.
Shahryar and Win Marilyn did fairly well in their respective BC races.
@@eddiey4k Yes it's funny the tipsters like Rihsi Persad or whatever didn't mention that. Like Mostadaf was beaten by Broome.
Mostadaf finished last in the Arc.
We were reminded about 100 times August Rodin had ran bad in heavy ground.
I knew it when they were about 50 yards from the finish. I said "The 5 horse is going to win." And he did.
Demuro cost me money with that ride. Well done Auguste Rodin and Ryan.
Very unlucky. He was the first one at the bend traveling like the winner inside. The rider just stopped and shifted his momentum.
Best horse won he was absolutely cruising going into final bend nothing to with anything else.
@cinzanobianco1 when you knows this industry well, you would never say best horse won... Every decision from a rider in a race would affect one after another especially in this kind of tight track.

simple awesome the horse and the rider who took the rails.
cant think of any better ride than this ,yes Buick on Master of the Ses was equally good.
I’ve noticed when I have watched races in England they use the whip a lot on some of these horses. The race may be over 2 miles with jumps and the horse is tired yet they will whip them to keep them running.
Best jockey by far.
His ride on warm Heart was also impeccable.
Inspiral was much the best in that race and she got Frankie out of jail there
Without wishing to be too critical. I agree that Ryan is brilliant, but maybe not so brilliant on Aesops Fables, just saying.
@@jackskerry2467what could he have done differently on Aesop? For me it was a career best run and having to run wider than the front runners meant he lost ground, very few come from behind BC winners get a run on the inside like he did on Auguste so doubt Aesop could have done any better than 3rd today, Content last night was different as he had chance to move her up and hold position in midfield but took her back instead.
@@frankelforever14 ..It definitely was a career best run. I suppose he was carried wide, you’re probably right. Looks like a horse to follow next season.

The ride of the meeting was Buick on Master of the Seas, this was a good ride but he’s on Rodin a double Derby winner. Like Mick on Sea The Stars in the Arc he was on a monster and could put him anywhere.
If the Japanese horse doesn't go 45. 1/5 and went a more normal pace like 46. Mawj's kick would have been better and MOS kick wouldn't have been as accentuated . I thought it was really close between those 2, should have done a $10 box with those 2 rather than a $5 box between 3. Just looking to cash a ticket at that point..
Hmmm odd race. You could say that Moore was lucky to find that much of a gap up the inside and AR didn't pull away as one might have expected. If he had had to switch around a horse I'm not sure he would have beaten Up To The Mark. He is obviously ground dependent (don't talk to me about his Doncaster win) and I'd love to see him stay in training and even try the BC Classic on Dirt next year.
Mostahdaf is simply not a Group 1 1m4f horse.
Don't worry no-one is going to talk to you
The owners of King Of Steel were greedy. After his epic effort in the bog at Ascot they should have said that's it for the season.
I really wonder if the trainer was in agreement to run him here it's asking too much of a horse...........owner is a football agent that says it all!
It’s a toss up between King Of Steel and Shishkin as to who is the most overrated horse currently in training..
#bothshite

Moore could ride in the Stares and do well in any jockey colony here. Good rider. He seemed extremely subdued for a man who just piloted his mount to a multi million dollar payday.
