I hope you finished that book. I found it superb. I'm also partial to Black Women Writers, being one myself. All about The Culture in my passions. 🥰 I dig what you notice in literature. Your dyslexic glasses are cool. And I agree with you about contemporary fiction, it's a lot harder to know what to read because you don't have the same amount of literary analysis as you do for "classical" literature.

That glossy black tote looks so freaking chic and professional! I recently ‘invested’ in a large le pillage that was pre-loved and love it! My laptop is 18.5” and I’m finishing grad school this May, I wish I had gotten one sooner because it never fit in any other purse till now 🙃
