I'm surprised by the environmental score going to Apple. Apple phones while made from recycled materials are made in such a way that makes repairs very difficult compared to most Android phones. One could argue that Apple's poor repairability contributes more to e-waste than Androids. Surprised that didn't get a mention.
I totally agree. Android should have won that one.
The lightning cable alone can get the androids a win
Did you check Arun's previous video. He visits the iPhone recycling factory. They want every iPhone to be recycled. I don't see that from Samsung and certainly not from Xiaomi. And nowadays most phones are full of glue. Apple sucks in repairability because of the vendor locked parts etc.

That was a fun video having both of you in there as I watch both your videos. The comparisons and the camaraderie was very enjoyable but the conversation itself was entertaining and informative. In my opinion, it isn't a question of who is the best. It's about who is the best FOR YOU. For example, for companies which need everything to work seamlessly, IOS is better. But for people who want more customisation and features, Android is better. It is also a manner of preference.

Marketing Alert: This is a marketing video from Apple. When you are comparing android and iphone at same level should they be compared and valuated for same costing mobile phones rather then comparing a $600 android and saying "oh the camera of IPhone is better" or oh "the performace of IPhone is better" what shit?
You apple haters are so funny, when they compare an iphone camera to an android camera they pick the best android examples😂
So when android wins, will you say this shit?
@@MewTSB yes
I enjoyed this video but I think that the comparison had a couple problems. I am an android fanboy so take this with a grain of salt. I felt that they needed more parameters in picking android comparisons. Because there's such a broad spectrum of android phones comparing by average isn't totally fair, because it gives the user the opportunity to buy based on preferences. And get the best experience in the category they care about. The user doesn't experience the average of android experiences but the specific one delivered by their specific android. I think it would have been more fair to compare iPhone to the best of android in each scenario. For example android should have won the sustainability category because of the fairphone and nokia.
I still enjoyed the video and they did touch a lot of nuanced points but I think the final score should have been different.
A negative point on the eco-friendliness of Apple is that they are strongly anti-repair. They make it near impossible to repair, even with the Apple care program. It's just to silence the Right to Repair movement.
Edit: By the Apple care I meant that Self repair service they launched. I'm talking about that. You don't need to remind me on every one of the 50 comments.

I think Android should have got more than 2.5 points, but most of these categories are very close and subjective and depend on how you see it.
iOS is more reliable, Android is more customizable. But both are constantly improving and copying each other. At the end of the day, it's all about preference.
Nah, it was basically clear idiocy there, no offense.
iPhone isn;t the best at photos, but I'll choose iPhone.
iPhone literally uses the least recyclable materials and packaging, and is the most anti-repais, but because they market their Eco-Friendliness, it wins.
iPhone sucks at features and is basically a few generations behind, lets call it a draw.
iPhones have no options, and cost quite high, Android clearly has more options that can get better value, let's call it a draw... oh wait cut cut.
Only thing I hate about android it's to fragmented hence the camera app problem maybe If they worked more towards one universal system for all android phones would help?

Waaaa I bought an Android phone and I suck!! Waaaa
@@blacbraunI bought an iPhone and it sucks yaayyy !!!!
This one felt weirdly biased for you guys. There were certain times when iPhone won despite being the same or worse. For example, MKBHD said that the ROG phone had a better battery at 4:00 and he noted that a lot of android phones have incredible charging compared to the iPhone's "decent" charging. Despite this, it wins the point. For another example, Mrwhosetheboss says that for him, Android wins for the camera section, yet iPhone got the point instead of it being a tie. One more weird example is how in the eco-consciousness section, it's noted that the fair phone blows the iPhone out of the water yet iPhone still gets the point. Mrwhostheboss says that this is because he wants to compare flagship to flagship and that can be a fair point. But if you use that logic, the display section shouldn't be a draw because both parties agreed that iPhone screens are behind Samsung.
Edit : reading the below comment taught me that some of you don't know where the bias is or what the problem i'm pointing out is.
The problem is not that Android lost or that it was a close fight. iPhones are absolutely amazing and they deserve credit for that.
Some of you have argued that it won so much because it was compared to all android phones and not just the best ones. If that was the case, that would be fair but The problem is that they don't stick to that perspective. There are MULTIPLE times where they shift to putting the iPhone against only a few Androids (like the eco consciousness section) in order to give it the win (and multiple times where it wins because its agreed to be generally better than most Androids despite being worse than the best in class androids).
Shifting the comparison around to make one side more favorable is clear bias regardless of what side it's done for.
because there are too many android phones
if we use your logic. then android wins in so many records. lol. basically, iPhone would be the most stable and yet... not the best when compared to the plethora of pillar or flagship strengths of each android phone.
I own both (android and apple), when it comes to freedom android is the winner. One don't have to be limited to apple's "we know what's best for you". Still,.. this video felt very biased to me as well. Apple is the winner even though Android has been doing it for years, really, come on now not by a landslide.
💯 I felt the same way.. Team Android or as MKBHD says (In The World Of Android) lol sounds dope..
the first example was about battery life not charging and the iphone has better battery life?
I think calling it "Android" vs "iPhone" is inherently problematic as Android should be against "iOS" since Android is NOT a phone, but Android is an operating system applied to thousands of phones every year and an iPhone is the phone exclusively able to use iOS. The closest comparison would be iPhone to Pixel since Pixel is produced by google directly. The big thing that Android wins in is the variables of choice that iOS doesn't have. If I can only afford a low end android, I can get one and update later to a flagship one.
In my opinion, not Pixel but Samsung. Google seems to be slowly giving up on their Pixel, not releasing in some countries and a lot of their Google ads now promote their Samsung partnership and show off Google services on the Samsung device ecosystem.
@@seicgames4587 Samsung is integrating Google Messages on their phone better than Pixel phones are. It’s crazy. Right now the only thing Pixels really have going for them is natively running GCam which is still the best software based solution in my opinion.
This is spotted on. iOS vs Android. Yeah! Not iPhone vs Android. Certainly gonna be chaotic.
@@seicgames4587 I would only say Pixel because Pixel is produced by the same company producing the operating system. So it’s not a matter of the best phone running android, it would be iOS on iPhone vs android on Pixel. That being said if we are just talking phones, then that should be more about features then operating systems. It’s just a hard Feild to play in since android as a system is pretty much made for phone companies to adopt and tinker with while iOS is behind the gilded cage of iPhone.
Nope, they’re comparing iPhone running on iOS VS hundreds of Android “phones”, not just comparing the operating systems
my favourite thing with gaming on android is that you can do emulation. emulation lets you run so many more games that are really high quality than iphone mobile apps. i also love shooting RAW on android with other camera apps like footej camera 2, because as a photographer it is just better to shoot RAW.
1.Vibration strength you can adjust on Ultra phone (iphone user won't know about it).
2. No fingerprint scanner under display on iPhone.
3. Four large icons only you cant add the 5th icon to the lower row on iPhone.
4. You can't rearrange icons, i.e. have one icon in the left and one in the right corner on iphone like wtf.
5. To close all open pages on iPhone you have to swipe with one or teo fingers totally stone age. On android there is an option to close all pages at once.
P.S. I just dont understand how come apple users can be so boring 😅 I always thought all CEOs or big company peoppe use iphone because they like to be different. Well, everyone knows you stand st the store and iphone ringtone makes everyone to check their phone because no one bother to change it. On android phone you can set video wallpaper on lock screen. You can have icons anywhere you like it and have many icons smaller size. Iphone 6.7 inch display with 4 icons per row is a grand parents choice. Tim Cook should buy new eye glasses 😅

In US the best phone is iOS just because everyone uses it. So that's why MKBHD's opinion was more based on that.
However outside US markets, Android has the main market. So it's not a minority in many of the categories.
interesting take!
It coz not many people can afford iphones but that's doesn't mean they are holding s22 ultras and oneplues or even Samsung A series no they are mostly getting xaiomi phones which are best in price to performance compare to every other android brands but anyone who could afford to buy at iphones prices I bet you 95% of the time they pick Iphones over xaiomi or Samsung 1000$phone that gonna become obsolete in 2 year both support and performance lag

But apple IS better tho. I have never used an iphone in my life for the sheer reason that I can't afford it but I don't bark on an I phone user every time they tell me how their phone is better than mine.Infact I agree with them. I phone CREATED the smartphone industry, android is just figuring it out till today & while android may bring variety, experiment & customization in the industry the apple ecosystem being superior in every way is undeniable. They even make movies on the mac, not on windows. Says a lot.
@@apetogetherstrong4243 I disagree. I don't think one is better than the other. Depends on your use case. If you use your phone as just a phone, with some web browsing occasionaly, a $100 android phone is the best. If you're looking for a good allrounder for around $400, you can go for a iPhone se if you want good software support, a pixel 5a for a good camera or any Xiaomi phone if you want it to be ok at everything, but not exceptional at anything. So you can't really say one is better than the other.
@@dirksplithof3174 the thing is if you have 6 goldchains in your neck & you stand in the middle of the street & scream what phone should I get, you will not get the reply of "get a 1500$ android" It will be "get a 700$ iphone". Value for money is an excuse, the question was never was "which is the best phone for you" . It was "which is the best phone overall" .
The best phone for me is the 250$ xaomi android I'm using right now that is a year old. But if someone's gonna ask me what is the best phone in the world since the first phone was ever released I'd not say android or blackberry.
Android users & I phone users have formed cults in the tech community where the i phone users feel the urge to brag about their superior tech coz they can afford it & the android users have to come up with different categories, customizations to tear I phone down. The i phone as a piece of tech doesn't have any feelings. It won't feel validated if I say it's the best or the worst in the world.
But it's the objective/undeniable truth that it is superior since it's first release by steve jobs & as a 250$ android user I don't hesitate to say so. The reason that it's treated more as a status symbol than a world class tech is the reason it has become a tough pill to swallow for android users. So what if I can't afford it, it's still the best. What's next...are we gonna say that a toyota is better than a mclaren coz it is cheap & has better mileage

The fun part is, apple was given a 3/10 for repairablity and the forces it’s users to pay 60% of the cost of the product to repair basic parts that could have been easily fixed for fraction of the cost. The only reason it won the that category was because of its insane ability to market itself out of all its problems
i dont see anything fun here
Bruh every company charges u more if you go and fix the phone on their stores, a lot of ppl complain about this, then just go to a 3rd party service its that simple, where i live we dont have apple stores and go to 3rd parties for repairs, i never have problems + half the price duh.
Apple marketing is literally insane
IPhone is crap. The only people who find iPhone better are the ones who don't know how to get the most of their hardware rigs. IPhone just restricts everything and for doing so, it's better for simple people. If you like not fully utake advantage of your money, buy an iPhone. If you want to take full advantage of the hardware, utility, customs, etc. Android phones are hands down the beast.
Where was Apple given 3/10?
I've had Androids most of my adult life, so a few months ago I decided to take the IPhone 13 Pro Max for a spin, and I have two good things to say about it - the battery life was phenomenal, and I loved the solid build, but that was all I liked. I lasted a week, but returned it in favor of my S22 Ultra. I just need to be able to customize my phone and I rely on its ease of use features like single gesture closing of multiple open apps. Apple does what they do very well, and their devices are well built, but if you want greater control of your device, IPhone isn't a good choice.
You said it.
My man
This is what makes android truly better
Funny how they made customisation a draw

This whole video seems like Arun is interviewing Marques. Instead you both should have kept separate scoreboards and avarage it out at the end.
I feel like I'm probably in the minority on this one, but this collab feels more like an interview. Both of you are very talented creators, but this video is driven very heavily by opinion. That said, all the decisions seem to defer very heavily to Marques's opinion. Marques is making very valid observations, but those same observations are very heavily based in circumstance.
It IS an interview, because Arun didn't present his opinions completely mostly. Arun would have awarded more to Android
@@namishbaranwal3522 nah arun like apple too i think. but arun would probably give android more score than just 1.5.

The issue I've always had with android vs apple is you can't compare them. One is a single phone, another is a wide selection of phones. Apple has a new phone released every year, and that's the one people talk about. Android has so many creators, let alone phone models released, it just isn't fair to either side. Comparing companies to Apple, though, that's way more fair.
Agreed, iPhone vs Samsung would be a more fair comparison. Android is too broad and includes a lot of niche players and a lot of cheap junk.
Apple sucks the prevent software downgrades. They don't allow newer backups to be restored to older ios. They also only allowed signed in IPSWS to be installed, if not signed in you are stuck on a slow phone.
Agreed, iPhone vs Pixel would be a more fair comparison.
karma to apple for not letting other companies use their system ?
yeah also another thing is that android is a universal software. Its used on every other phone. IOS is just used for iphones so its gonna be more optimized. Its gonna have more support. this should have been google pixel against iphone. Hoping google makes a top spec flagship this year as google is the only company that can beat iphone in software
I've used an iphone and android. I can safely say that in terms of pricing, android is better below the price of a pro iphone and once you get to $1000 iphone wins. so in my own opinion budget users should get an android. rn I'm using a pixel 7 I got for $350 on sale and I couldn't be happier with my phone

Actually it does and repairability is not the one that can decide Eco consciousness company plans to which apple wins in that
They literally showed footage of the Fairphone then said lol Apple is going carbon neutral give them the win.
New Android flagships like S22 are the same.
You forgot newer androids being difficult to repair too

I would actually give the Eco Conscious category a draw because Apple use proprietary chargers, and since they don't come in the box, there's more cost to the consumer and more packaging.
But so do android flagships and even mid-range flagships now no?
User of both worlds here: One thing regarding the Eco part, in my view, is, that a plus for the iPhone is that it seems to keep its value and operability for quite some time. Most of my Android phones become unusable after ~3 years. But a big minus that counteracts all the positive things regarding the eco part is Apple's hostile behavior in actively sabotaging every attempt to repair devices, blocking 3rd party repair-services, and making the devices unmaintainable overall - or if possible, making the official, proprietary repairs more expensive than new devices (hint to the Louis Rossman YT Channel). Plus, I often get the feeling that you pay the most by far for their devices, but they act like you do not really own them. Which is especially mind-blowing given the price.

Very true...why not bring the best of both worlds and not Apples best against any android that failed a category
As someone who has owned iPhones only for the past 10+ years, including the 14 Pro this year, I don't think that was a very critical comparison. I obviously think iPhones fit MY needs better, but the gap between iOS and Android phones isn't that drastic. Just different strokes... The actual objective difference is marginal and definitely not a "7.5 : 2.5" gap.
Well said. The choice between iOS and Android depends on the user preferences. What's absolutely true is that neither iOS nor Android could have become this good if there was no competition.
Absolutely.. right
The numbers don’t really mean anything because they aren’t weighted to each persons interests/needs; everything is just one point. That is arguably the most important part of an eco phone and android is a clear winner there with apple doing things like software locking parts etc.
My big thing with the eco conscious was that they compared companies as a whole. Like Samsung, Sony, etc do a lot more than just phones that will affect them getting to carbon neutral whereas Apple's biggest thing is the iPhone. Not sure exactly how to convey this, more so just that carbon neutral company wide isn't an apples to apples comparison when comparing android to ios
This needs to be pinned, I don't know how they could "forget" that from the most anti right to repair company
Funniest part is that many independent repairers report the the iphones are actually easier and less costly to repair
@@brochard44 Well, for apple there is now a self repair program which makes it easier to repair phones, even though if you rent the tools from apple it would be so costly but ya, now software locking is no longer a problem
@@FlyINGpigOOO their repair program is basically useless. It's a complete pr stunt and for basically all the parts they sell getting it done at apple costs like 10-20$ more. And independent shops can't use them because the cost of the part is so much if they want to make a profit they have to charge more then apple would be a lot.
Are things that Apple locks you in really worth calling "features"? I think Android should win this category, simply because it is much more flexible than Android and allows you to do a lot more things. For example:
* changing many parts of the OS, like the launcher, keyboard, browser, lock screen
* installing apps from outside the Play Store
* full access to the file system
* use it to do things you would traditionally do on a computer. You can do crazy things like coding, running all kinds of VMs and emulators. You can do all sorts of crazy automation with things like Tasker, like automatically opening the garage door when a message that contains a certain thing arrives.
Android is more like "here's a set of tools that you can use to do whatever you want". iOS is more like "these are the things you're allowed to do and how you can do them".
I totally agree

Great point, I'm an app developer for both ios & Android. I always prefer Android SDK features, which gives you more control as a developer.
I guess u missed their point
Android does have way more features but
It's (a lot of features ,small minority of enthusiaists) Vs (some special features, a large number of common users)

This one felt really weird to watch. It almost felt Apple sponsored. Because even in the cases where Android was the clear winner, MKBHD would stretch really far for iphone. I'm not necessarily team Android or iPhone. I think iPhones a better business phone and Android is better for leisure. But none of that seemed to factor into anything. The numbers didn't even Factor into anything
MKBHD tends to do this everytime. Overselling every iPhone feature without a solid basis.
Yeah after the first part already (the screen) I knew it was going to be bs. A draw? When Apple's display is what you can find in 300 € Android phones? It has a lower resolution than most Android phones, the response time is slightly worse, and the touch sampling rate (what MKHD or whatever he is called talked about) is 240 Hz... compared to 1000 Hz on some Android phones. What a joke of a video.

Felt pretty biased towards Marquez's niche preferences. I've realised over the years of watching tech channels that Marquez has certain preferences and specific things he thinks are non-negotiable (his photo preference for iPhone processing when it's very subjective, the need to use the camera right in the IG app when you can easily take one natively and post it in the app after, the software hiccups in android that honestly are nowhere near as big a deal as he makes them, etc etc) that really aren't as important to I'd say majority of the tech community. Love his content but I don't fully agree with how objective these subjective ideas are made to seem.
I think you're forgetting he used to prefer the pixel up to the pixel 4.
He is becoming more and more biased towards Apple every tech video he makes. Have u watched his waveform podcast. That show should be called the apple podcast at this point. 80% of it is dedicated to apple products. Then 10% is dedicated to EV vehicles and tesla. And only the remaining 10% is spent talking about all other non apple products. I get it. Maybe apple sponsor him. But its Super biased and getting boring

0:21 It's more productive to focus on finding common ground than on trying to prove who is right or wrong. You're comparing based on opinions that are absolutely subjective.
0:03 IMO, iPhone is about exclusion and seperation. Every iPhone user that I know treats me like I'm somehow less than them. For them a phone determines your value? I once worked with a woman who would not speak to anyone with an Android. I went to her with something work related and she would not do her job until i told which phone I had! Elitism no matter which way you look at it. The truth is that if creators, influencers or whatever you want to call them, would stop making videos like this, we can just all be who we want. This video will never change anyones mind, which makes this an excercise in futility. Android users will never accept the iPhone Dogma and iPhone users will stick to security and fewer choices. In the end, it's about your personal preference. When I had an iPhone i didn't like it because I enjoy being able to tweak my phone and get it exactly how i like it. End of story. We should all strive to be open-minded and tolerant of different perspectives, even if we disagree with them. Just look how long this is, thanks iPhone!😕
I just recently switched from my iPhone to an Android and I have to say that the freedom I have with an Android is exactly what I was missing with the iPhone.

No one talked about social status. iPhone should get at least two points for that
It's interesting to hear that other people don't use the split screen feature on the Galaxy phones. I use it so often that when I tried to buy the iPhone 13 last year I had it for like a month and ended up returning it because I missed that so much. Without having to watch this video since this subject has been covered so many times. The simple answer is whichever works best for you and your personal needs.
This video is sponsored by apple proved in 2023
"android has a slight advantage" - ok let's call this a tie then
"seems like they are pretty even in this category" - ok apple gets the point!
"several android models do it better, but some don't". = point for apple!
Apple still remains the winner after these comments, but it isn't _that_ drastic of a win. My opinion is that Apple has the edge, but doesn't blow Android out of the water.
@@paulstelian97 the point isn't about who's the winner its about how comparision was done.

@@cbazxy2697 Yeah, it was like Apple was judged based on the best iPhone while Android was judged based on the average Android.
Some other categories I would've liked to hear about are Durability (how long it lasts, and physical durability of the phone), Repairs (cost of repair/ ease of repair), assesories/3rd party items for phone( earbuds, cases, ease of use of 3rd party items like off brand speakers/earbuds), connections/signal ( what gets better signal, better wifi connects, bluetooth connections, call connections. A few things I have noticed about the pixel camera, if I a snapped picture looks like crap, the image processing fixes it within 2 seconds, it has a quick camera shortcut double tap power for camera without unlocking the phone and hit volume rocker to take a picture, taking a picture that way shakes the hell out of the phone, I'm always sure the picture is ruined yet somehow the picture looks like I held the phone still. Its remarkable, I'm taking pictures of a meter all day. It does have some difficulty focusing at times though, it will focus on the glare rather than the digits on the screen of my meter. Coming from a razor 2 with a 12mp camera I'm more than impressed
I switched from android to IOS a year ago and I honestly missed the customization, fast charge, hi res audio and most of the mid to high end screens, ios seemed very restrictive and less value for each dollar spent
I think the reason that Android lost a fair few categories is that it is not about one single manufacturer. Some features are defining ones for some manufacturers like Motorola's Chop Chop for flashlight and Samsung's Dex and even Xiaomi's ridiculous community support. This is the beauty and weakness of Android. That fact that Android is little imperfect, it encourages you to make your own contribution towards it without caring about getting sued or anything. Android has a more playful aesthetic and is built for nerds like me but iOS has a few constraints. I love the fact that rooting is so easy on Android and you can use apps like GCam Port.
Having many manufacturers should be an advantage in this case. They should be able to take the best of android and beat iPhone but even with all these manufacturers they don’t outright beat apple.
my boyfriends Motorola has this thing where he shakes it to turn on the flashlight. When I saw that I almost bought a new phone. That's the beauty of android, you can get the best phone that works for you as an individual.
@@obviousgreyman sadly having many manufacturers is also Android's biggest weakness. Every company has their direction, some just wants to push out value for money phones, with terrible software support or many corners cut, which makes people think Android is unpolished, some companies want to polish their hardware and software but charge a lot more, people think that they are overpriced and terrible value for money. That's why they don't outright beat Apple.
But I think the best thing about Android imo, is that you pick a phone that you like, but is imperfect, then add small touches here and there to make it yours
@@_zaverus The counter argument is that Apple doesn't innovate anymore, they just cherry pick the most popular features that other manufacturers were willing to take a risk on. Yes it's good to perfect existing technology but it's kind of garbage that they sit back and sell stale tech at a premium because they maintain a close source environment.
If they were comparing just to Samsung, Samsung would dominate
I feel like even if Arun disagreed with MKBHD they would still give the category in MKBHD's favour Arun himself said he preferred Androids photography over the iPhones same as batter because of fast charging in my opinion such categories should have been a draw or should have been more debated upon
One more such category I found was the one where they talked about Android's tons of features vs apple's exclusive few, like the ecosystem, airdrop etc and still gave the point to Apple.
Whereas one thing they ignored is that it only works when both the devices you have are made by Apple. If you have a windows PC, things are going to suck bad with an iPhone, whereas Androids can be simply used exactly like flash drives with a USB cable which is ARGUABLY better than airdrop, because that way you can actually manage the data better on phone as well as on PC. Not to mention you do get features like Nearby Share which works fine.

I was an avid iPhone user for years, and was very happy for the most part. I gave Android a chance when Samsung released a new phone a few years back, and never realized what I was missing out on. One topic that was not really discussed here, that is very important to me now, is the how much better Android plays with 3rd party hardware. Watches, Smart TV's, Speakers, etc... There is a world of great technology out there that Apple just doesn't want you to be able to take full advantage of. And, this is always a hot topic as well... But, Android Auto with Google assistant is just unmatched in my opinion. I'm not a fanboy of either platform by any means, and am actually making this comment from an Apple computer. However, these small things are very important to me, especially my smart watch. Great comparison otherwise though. Cheers.
Android is okish but for me only really Samsung would be an option and being in Europe, I won't let them scam me with their sub-par Exyshit processors.
So as long as this is a thing, I will buy Apple (where Europeans are not treated like 2nd class customers). Maybe if there is a day where we get the real processors for the same price (without import and stuff), I may consider giving Samsung another shot.

It doesn't have to be the top of the line items, just a bit of a estimate of how much it would add up to, to comvert completely to the apple ecosystem
Well, I thought MKBHD reviewed phones for everyone. But what he said was his personal bias because he is a hardcore Apple supporter. Plus, no one mentioned Pixels. Yes Apple can stand out a lot sometimes. But there is a clear bias in MKBHD's POV. No one went into the options for reparability, costs and all. I don't know how to put it. But even though Apple is doing the best they can, most of the innovations are happening in the Android gadget space. For everyone here, let me get this out there. Getting/ Switching to an android is like getting a chilled out room mate. Getting/ Switching to an Apple is like getting a high maintenance partner.

I would agree. There was definitely bias in several aspects of what they said. There are also tons of videos out there showing how even the new iPhone motion and action capturing isn't even close to the likes of Samsung and Pixel. Samsung has had some of the best low light cameras for years now and they mentioned Pixel instead. That was kind of all I needed to hear. I didn't even make it through half the video and had to stop. Don't know who either of these guys are but it was clear on their bias in multiple things.
Emulators are a huge thing for me, as well as the S pen. I love being able to play Wii, DS, N64, whatever all just on my phone. I also like custom APKs if i ever wanna grab something that isnt on the app store. Apple is more secure, but Android is way more open.
I don't think Apple is more secure either to be honest. Just the perception they want you to have. So many lockscreen bypasses and stuff over the years as well as other huge security concerns on iOS
I used to be an Android user, and I think the S-pen is pretty useless, and more of a gimmick (I’m not an artist, so I never used it. But I’m not speaking for everyone) I also never trust APKs, since I got a virus from the last one I downloaded. So I’m personally fine with the fact that Apple is more closed and strict. But I will admit that I miss being able to play emulators and being able to download launchers to completely change the look of my phone. So overall, it’s more of personal preference on which phone is better.
I agree it’s a big factor, but you can get emulators on an iOS device (iPad or iPhone) without jailbreaking. The way you do this is via a computer program called altstore to sideload the emulators onto your phone. The dolphin iOS port also supports online (via wiimmfi) and I use it a lot. Still though for android users you don’t need a computer which makes it a better experience.
@@gdspace5592 That's purely anecdotal. On the other hand I've never gotten a virus and even if I did antivirus can fix that issue. Why not have the option? Apple doesn't give you a choice whilst android does. You don't have to do it if you don't want to on Android but you have the option. Apple dictates to you how they want you to use "your" phone.

Performance should be judged based on what they can do with the power, and how well they perform the task. Both android and iOS are not 100% comparable. If you're talking about normal usage, it's barely any noticeable differences. If you're talking about specific task like video editing, yes it's quicker to process on iPhone but don't discount Samsung Dex which allows user to perform the job similar to normal desktop with keyboard and mouse.

@@Malek-bd6gl And Android is better in some ways. Yes, a closed system is more efficient. But its also less flexible. If Apple ticks all the boxes that interest you 100%. Then Android is not as good even if it can do twice as much.
I regret not taking use of the cool Huawei Cam gimmicks more times before it broke
The end result of this REALLY surprised me. I expected Android to have a better perception.. Personally and objectively, if you're talking about getting the most function for your money, Android is where it's at. From a purely technical standpoint Android is frankly, way more versatile and advanced and I'm being honest. At 12:15 (the section about software features), I felt like Android was SERIOUSLY under represented. I could get technical, but I won't. Most people would underplay something like Samsung Dex, until Apple does it (most recently with its variant called Stage Manager) and then something that matters to no one "suddenly" matters to everyone.. There is a real "Halo" effect around iOS that has existed since the inception of the iPhone. That's not to say that the acclaim Apple's iOS have been getting is not warranted. I have always appreciated iOS's polish and simplicity. The end user experience is what sells to the most people and I get that (its probably why Apple obfuscates app crashes, choosing not to alert the user unlike on Android). Keep it slick, keep it simple. Its a good approach (especially for making money). But I have always liked the dynamism of the Android environment and their willingness to experiment with new ideas since day one.. And that experimentation is what pushes the software industry forward (and Apple often capitalizes on those very ideas).. And I get that software updates are a big deal (and they are) but Apple's walled garden and vertically integrated approach to software and hardware makes software updates a MUCH simpler thing pull off but at the expense of versatility (since its not actually needed).. Android was built to be versatile. There are way too many variables (including mobile chipsets and hardware manufacturers) on the Android side that (because it was built to be portable) makes it definitively more versatile but at the expense of ease of optimization.. Google's own update cycle is great for Android as an operating system but difficult for manufacturers to keep up with, which will result in a higher overall cost per update.. Stuff like that simply doesn't exist on Apple's side.. Both approaches to software design have their advantages..
But for me at the end of the day and despite tablet or desktop class apps being under represented on Android (which is no fault of the operating system itself), I'm more of a function over form kind of a guy... And when it comes to the most value for your money (because remember, not everyone has that), it's Android all the way.. In fact even if money isn't an issue, it would still be Android all the way.. I kid you not, I can ACTUALLY do more functionally with a 3 year old Samsung S10 on the cheap, than I can probably do with the latest iPhone and that's not even an exaggeration.. Where Apple is clearly ahead is in its silicon (mobile chipsets).. If Android devices had the same calibur of silicon, this really wouldn't be a discussion for me.. Objectively. But I do also get the fact that not everyone is technically inclined..
I know this sounds cynical but here is the way I see it. For the technically inclined.. If you're broke, buy an Android for certain.. If you've got the money, uhh.. Buy an Android (but secretly hate the fact that Apple silicon is so good while hoping that Qualcomm or some other chipset manufacturer creates a technical miracle).. If you're NOT technically inclined.. Well.. Buy an Apple device. It has everything you need and nothing you don't.. But be prepared to pay for it.. And if you can't, there is always an Android device waiting for you..
Nah these fake reviewers are not even going to look at your point.
Man wrote a whole novel
Tbh bro i here you but, Android can be cheaper, but it has a lot bloatware, I rather pay more for an iPhone then but a cheap Android and iPhone are not even that expensive. Yes for ppl we are into stuff like you yes, buy one all the way but remember most people like it simple. And iPhone offers that.
"I could get technical, but I won't."
And that's why it's not important. You have to "get technical" about it, where the typical user doesn't want to get technical or watch a RUclips tutorial to figure out how to use something on their phone.

No reason for me to go over to iOS for the time being.
And I grew up and don't care if the other person is an iOS user. We can transfer files now between phones, after all :))
Same. Its just so so so freaking useful!
Same for me, started with LG G2 now on Samsung A series.
I too love LG sending it from a LG G8X
Them 2 are not power users...they test phones but they are not power users. They use spotify, power user use FLAC. Also when earthquake happens and you stuck without internet for couple of days it's no use of cloud etc. 😁
You missed they point they try to make. Power users are a neash group of people like 10% of smartphone users. More than 70% don't even know what split screen multitasking is, and the 20% who know barely use it.
I moved away from Android years ago and except for very weird edge cases, I don't miss using it that much. Honestly if there was an Android phone with removable batteries, a headphone jack, and gets more than 1-2 years of support for under $300, I would prob choose that as my next phone since I don't really get calls or texts as much anymore. Though I am extremely lazy and prob won't switch either way bc I have 7 years worth of files on iOS and it's a pain in the neck to move stuff over even natively.
The problem is they are comparing one phone to hundreds of thousands of phones
The dual-app feature on Android is something I personally use all the time, and would immediately miss if I were to switch to iPhone (too few Android users know about it and use it imo). Floating windows is something I also use a lot, where you can have an app window that is essentially floating on top of everything else and can be minimised (you can open up a lot more than just 2 windows as well) it's actually a very cool feature you've probably never seen before, look it up even if you're an iPhone user, it's quite interesting lol.
Such "power features" and things like file system access, is why I prefer Android. So in the end it's always up to the specific user and their needs, which is what determines which platform is "better".
Same for me, and in my country, a very small amount of people use facetime/iMessage/airDrop. But I agree with the guys that the iPhone is a much better phone for an average user.
I use floating window a lot
It lets me watch RUclips while playing games
@@-_wanderer my go to... That shit is good... But I think apple is bringin somethin like that too...
I use split screen a loooooooot. I am surprised they don't use it
iPad had this, don’t need it on a phone
Apple claims to be more eco-friendly, but reparability is a real factor there. You can repair most Andriod phones more easily and cheaper than any IOS device. The longer update support and recycled materials are also an important factor though. Would have been good to see reparability as a separate topic perhaps, just to emphasize that you can actually fix your phones and don't need to toss them as soon as a single component breaks down (or pay someone else to repair it).
That's actually true. Because an apple gadget repair/replacement costs a new device same unit or latest model. While the android, battery replacement or screen repairs are a whole lot cheaper. As much I do love apple, I enjoy using android due to its easy to repair than apple.
@@ajthefujoshi ur actually dead wrong just stop taking ur device to apple to have it repaired, u can get screen replacement for like 80$ at any mom and pop shop
An android user
Also about eco-friendliness: buying a used iPhone is way better than buying a used Android because of how fast Androids lose support/get discontinued/stop getting updates, and because of how fast they become slow compared to the newest ones
iPhones rarely break my mom is still rocking an iphone 4, on my side, never had an android phone with that kind of durability
i found the video frustrating as every edge case where iphone was better than android iphone gets a point while every edge case where android is better “oh well you could make a case” and they tie
