50:50 - re: people watching competetion shows for decades and being blown away by beast games - Did Jimmy and Tyler and the rest of the decision makers watch any of these shows? Don't get me wrong, I've watched Beast Games, and enjoyed it enough that I would watch another season of it. But there were a LOT of things wrong with it that made it seem like it was made by someone unfamiliar with how the format works. Jimmy keeps bringing up "character building and storytelling" - How many episodes into Beast Games were you when you reached the point where you could name 3 of the contestants? (for me it was episode 4.) How many people on the show were eliminated more-or-less randomly, not as a result of their own decisions or actions? (almost all of them) Starting with 1000 people just means that you need to spend hours of time randomly eliminating hundreds and hundreds of people that you know nothing about and don't care about. The show would have been much better if it started with 100 or less people. I remember watching the first season of Survivor and thinking it was AWESOME. Beast Games season 1 was not incredible. It was fine. The spectacle of seeing 100 people dropped through trap doors was really cool, but it doesn't make the show good.
I totally love the 'you took the simplicity of a starting a RUclips channel and got here', I totally relate to that. 😂😂 My channels about cruise ships but I just got back from a west africa trip where I stayed onboard a floating hospital in Sierra Leone. It was life changing and if I can keep raising money for the charity with my channel I'll be very very happy. Nothing to Jimmy's scale, of course, but still, the money goes so far over there. Thanks for having this conversation! ❤❤
@@Nzmwwww1238that is the implication… the ingredients also changed around 6 months in to be less healthy than he bragged about when it started, much closer to hersheys than the “healthiest chocolate”
The explanation I saw is sort of mentioned here but not fully: when they were starting out, their volume was small enough that they could partner with already-vetted/certified child/slave labor free farms in one country, but as they grew and started selling more, they needed to buy more chocolate, and there wasn't enough available where they were originally buying. They had to expand to other farms and areas and the same guarantee/certification/availability wasn't there. So now they're working on converting farms to be child labor free, so they can make more chocolate without just buying ingredients from farms that use it.
44:21 - "If a Minecraft Let's player wanted to make Beast Games... [it] would just suck and it would flop." Ironic considering Jimmy's first several videos were about Minecraft and now he's just created and produced Beast Games.
I can appreciate the interview as an insight into an anomaly, as that is what Mr Beast is in the RUclips scene. Don't need to like Mr Beast to like learning more about all of this
Really interesting hearing him speak about how amazing the show will be - the ability to connect to contestants, the stories.... but the show doesn't allow for the audience connection, there is too many people playing very basic games like "catch a ball" and "throw a ball in to a cup". Interesting to hear his comment which was essential "don't you know who I am?". His audience is quite specific and there is every possibility these people don't know anything about him.
@PixelSalad99 it's pretty bland. Confused with his comments saying no one's done a competition like this before.... Plenty of childhood memories of these sort of games on the street.
@@PixelSalad99 tbh I like it, I find it entertaining which is all I ask for. the concept is brutal to begin with and you can't develop characters early on so the shallowness in this regard looks justified. If you like mrbeast content then you should like beast games
It would be really interesting to get Pat Mcafee on your show. Super interesting guy who retired from the NFL to pursue a media career. Started with barstool, went independent and is now in main stream media but has been a trailblazer. Someone who has been a part of reviving College Gameday. His daily shows consistently get over 100k viewers on RUclips.
Jimmy’s ability to passionately and intentionally discuss labor laws in west Africa, the same way he used to talk about thumbnail design, is why he is building such large brands and earning trust from every industry. It’s so impressive.
I am new to the MRBeast world and a few decades older. I am so happy to hear how ethically focused Jimmy is in the business/capitalist arena I love your content and I love that you are also a humanitarian. There is hope for our world with people like him in it. I didn't even know about the cocoa issue. Thank you for educating me!
I am in Gen X and so happy that Jimmy is ethical and good hearted. He is using his power and influence for good. Gen Zers knows things don't have to be the way they have "always" been. We have choices. We can change things for the better and make a better world.
I used to admire Jimmy and the content he created, but over time, my perspective has completely changed. This isn’t about negativity-I’m an adult and simply sharing my thoughts-but I find the constant high-energy, fast-paced approach exhausting. Every moment feels engineered for maximum engagement, and it’s just too much. I still remember the first interview you did with him when your channel had fewer than 10,000 subscribers. He suggested giving away $1,000 to a viewer who subscribed and liked the video. I’m not sure if that ever actually happened, but it stuck with me. At a certain point, when something grows too big, it often starts having unintended consequences. While he still says he wants to make the best content, “best” doesn’t necessarily mean bigger, louder, or more extreme. I personally stopped watching a long time ago-not because I’m the target audience (I’m not), but because I wouldn’t want my kids to be influenced by that kind of content or branding. I hope this comment stays up, as I’m just sharing my thoughts in good faith. We should be mindful of the kind of influence massive creators have.
Mrbeast is a net positive for the world by a long shot ,the average person makes less than 20k and is a net negative to the world, ur perspective doesn't matter to the world just urself, bye
That’s a bold claim, but let’s think it through. What exactly makes someone a “net positive”? Giving away money? Entertaining millions? Those things have value, sure, but they also shape culture in ways that aren’t always positive. And calling the average person a “net negative” just because they make less than $20K? That’s a pretty shallow way to measure worth. A parent raising good kids, a teacher shaping young minds-are they negative because they don’t pull in big money? As for my perspective not mattering-if that were true, neither would yours. But here you are, responding, which means perspectives do shape the world. Maybe instead of shutting down discussion, it’s worth asking better questions.
The Mr Beast content is not for me, and I don't watch it...but I do enjoy listening to him talk about the business and how he approaches stuff, so I guess I'm also a fan? But that doesn't mean it's bad content. It could even be by some rubrics, the "best". I can appreciate an iPhone as a cool piece of tech without ever wanting to own one. I can love a video game and find its sequels frustrating while others prefer them. I can get a hundred clips from Grey's Anatomy served to me in shorts without ever wanting to watch an episode. Doesn't mean it needs to change, just means it's not for me.
I’ve been loving these episodes. This is quite literally the only podcast channel or which I watch all the way through. Y’all are doing a great job 👏 keep it up ❤ Also 48:17 MrBeast x RockStar Games video game soon? 😂 that would break the world. Release: 2030

I really distrust RUclipsrs who spectacularise philanthropy. So there are things I believe Mr Beast does in earnest that spectators and folks copy. This hurts the folks and environments that need help. HOWEVER I respect Mr Beast by learning from others who ethically source their products, don't abuse the environment, realize it will take time for change to happen, and that even with his infrastructure he cannot do it alone. Good lesson for all. Mad respect for our hosts continuing thier program while they rebuild.
Beast Games is missing a slow burn. It's too frantic and random. He needed to start with a smaller group, giving them time to get to know each other (and the viewer gets to know them) build tension, and develop dynamics. For example: 'This city is built to house 1,000 people.' (Camera frantically rolls over some overhead drone shots, leaping from shot to shot.) Then, two minutes later in the same episode literally more then half of them are gone (493 are left). I'm like, why bother building a city for 1,000 if you're hacking the group down so fast? The viewer never gets involved enough to care. It seems like an utter waste. Pushing a "city" you built to make the size of it pointless a few minutes later.
i dont really watch colin and samir because their type of videos just aren't really the types of videos i watch, but i eat these mr beast interviews up
22:31 kinda weird how they started the video talking about how they are friends and the Jimmy had to check if he was married or not. I kinda know if my friends are married or not.
This is just speculation, but Mr. Beast seems like the guy who only focuses on things he thinks are important and probably views a lot of his relationships as transactional. I doubt he's hanging out at a friends house for a few hours having a BBQ and just shooting the breeze. He's like the CEO of my company. He cares about the high level things and doesn't have time for smaller details.
Eh. I think you can have a friendship that's based in a professional/colleague world, with interest, depth, and trust...you can talk for hours on multiple topics, you can do an activity together, you know their strengths and weaknesses and personality, you can run into each other and spontaneously end up hanging out, you can trust them to have your back, you think of them randomly when you see something that they'd like or laugh at and you can share those things (or know not to) without worrying about how they'd be received, heck, you can go to a BBQ at a mutual colleague's home and shoot the breeze, etc etc...but it's with the professional side of that person, and their personal details don't really figure into it. It's the glory and the tragedy of adulthood, the friendships that form within a team, and how easily they can get lost because someone moves or quits or stops making time for a hobby. I have had work friends who I looked forward to seeing each day for years, who I could comfortably lend a hundred bucks to, who I would help move apartments, who I've broke down in front of, and rubbed their back while they cried, who I've made birthday gifts for...and I did not know their age or relationship status or orientation or where they grew up until the company folded and we shared Facebook profiles to keep in touch. Sometimes it's just not relevant. 🤷♀️
I am a freshman in mathematics and I love watching the show and assessing the game theory. I do calculations in my head and on the side and I find it incredibly rewarding. I get that people regard it is as braindead content but it is really not if you are considering the mathematics and how it makes people gain an intuition of game theory.
so true but one also has to take into account that some constestants might truthfully value their ingame friends, so it's hard to tell when they leave out money for friends or for strategy (I don't want to spoil but I think there is an episode that proves they value either others either their image either their principles idk)
@QuetaBelien oh yeah of course. I did watch the latest episode. I think though that in the game it makes sense to still think about the numbers egoistically and then later factor in your pal using intuition. I think in his latest video when they had the oppertunity to step out for X amount of money it was rational to step out of the game at 62.5K, assuming all other players are rational as well. If they have a tendency to step out for more, it makes sense to wait a bit longer as well in order to try to gain some. If they have the tendancy to step out earlier, one would still only step out at 62.5K, as bellow that the EV is higher to wait.
In regards to how many contestants…what if you used the RUclips channel to create qualifiers…build those storylines and make beast the top 50-100 from storylines that were already built. As a beast games contestant…some of the handpicked storylines early on didn’t pan out because those people didn’t make it far…I.e. sifu, 42…it was a good bet, but didn’t pan out But if you pre-created those storylines by people watching ‘qualifiers’ on RUclips…now they know some people that will appear…and are already somewhat invested… Still…best experience I’ve ever had-whatever is done-I’m watching😊
Jimmy cracks me up in Beast Games! He’s like some evil squirrel from some mad scientist cartoon! He is absolutely loving it! And I’m absolutely loving watching him loving it!
respectfully, i disagree with them at 12:00 point. I regularly watch Hermitcraft, a series in minecraft with over 60-70 half hour episodes over the course of a year. Its the contect i like watching most on youtube as a platform. i would love something similar by mrbeast, but ofc irl not minecraft
The extremes of building your own jelly company or taking a brand deal aren't the only two options either. Dude Perfect and Ryan Trahan are the perfect examples of partnering with an already established brand (BodyArmor and Joyride) to help both the brand and the creator. I think that route provides great outcomes with lower risk for the creator, the brand involved, and the investors of those companies.
Here’s a fun fact Jimmy: I don’t know what CGI is nor does 99% of the population. Keep crushing 🔥 PS: to the host don’t give Jimmy advice on how to make his videos otherwise it wouldn’t be Jimmy Push to 10K contestants if that’s what you feel Jimmy. With that said, amazing interview 🚀
30:33 I am so proud to hear all the things that mr beast stands for. I think he is sincere a good person. Keep it up Collin and Samir, you two are also great interviewers!
great job once again colin and samir. I really found it interesting about how the talks or more buisness than before when it more algorithmic with earlier interviews.
Super interesting to hear you take on India and the growth of RUclips there. One thing that you guys don't realise is a lot of tools you take for granted in the US, we don't have access to in developing markets. The sponsor of this video, Spotter Studio, is a prime example. We're in Africa and would love to use it but they won't give us access because we're not in one of their primary markets. Makes zero sense in a global economy that you'd withhold tools from markets that could use them.
I disagree atleast in India. The brands and many big companies are starting to use creator market a lot since covid. But something like spotter studio is purely available for everyone it's just expensive.
Great episode as always such a measured conversation. Happy to hear about the works MrBeast is doing in Africa its a very difficult and honourable things. Big props!
*We need Heroes* In a day and age, in which we grow ever distrustful of people and in which our Western Cultures become increasingly more cynical, we need more people who others can look up to and who are a "net positive". Despite all the allegations against Mr. Beast, I personally think he truly is trying his best to not only be a net positive, but to overall be a good person. Keep it up, Jimmy, you have millions of people rooting for you including me 🙏.
Hii, I am one of the few people here in the audience who is not a creator. I don't understand everything and can't remember all the details from all the episodes but still find it interesting where RUclips is going and what is happening in the creator world, looking at it as the consumer. 😊
This has turned from a game to psychological torture. He uses old school psychological dilemmas and watch people deteriorate to their base behavior. No longer fun to watch.
Jimmy, obviously great at youtube. For making a reality TV show, he should talk to some guys like Jeff Probst (if he hasn't already) and learn from him about storytelling in a reality TV show.
What I also love is Jimmy! He’s a phenomenal host. And the minions are so fun because of that on the fly commentary quality from people who have relationships. I mean the scale is just so fun too. Love Beast Games so much.
Everything about mr beast is fake. He is followed around by an army of bots and co-dependent viewers to help maintain his image. Unfortunately, it's a scam.
The conversation about creators losing what made them special was covered in that one iCarly episode where they tried to turn it into that tv show for kids.
I find it so stupid how Mr. Beast talks about making money as money that's not reinvested, everyone reinvests money into their business that's what a business is that's how businesses work that's why you separate revenue from profit and why revenue's always so much higher
Beast games they're always yapping about how sad they are and how much they love their friend they met on the show. To me when I see that it feels fake

Beast Games is truly awesome, truly exceeded my expectations. Jimmy you're the best, truly. keep going. obv also Colin and Samir, thank you for your work, always appreciated
13:10 MrBeast just has no clue about the "season watch behavior" on YT in some countries. Here in Germany/ Austria we got nowadays very much used to big shows droping twice a week. (7vsWild, The Race, Manhunt, Facing the Unknown, Nerd in the Dirt, Into the Unknown, Warrior series...). I can imagine this to existing in other countries aswell.
I've been watching beast games. Mr. Beast and these youtubers are becoming Regis Philbin, Martha Stewart, or Jay Leno. Hollywood and prime time television has become on demand RUclips content. These guys aren't the first people to do these things they are just shifting the entertainment industry to the internet instead of cable.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to emphasise that all the other american chocolate companies use child labor? Pretty sure that would resonate with a lot of parents and it's a really good look in general. Maybe a charity video in which you help an organization against that specifically? It's definitely an interesting topic. Edit: Oh he's still building up to that.. yeah they'd probably fire back.
Let’s get a thank you train going for these guys 🎉 Can’t imagine how challenging things are gonna be for a while. Appreciate all the work in the videos

(almost all of them)
Starting with 1000 people just means that you need to spend hours of time randomly eliminating hundreds and hundreds of people that you know nothing about and don't care about.
20:01 the feastables website had the words “proudly slave labor free” removed sometime around 6 months after the launch
So they use slaves now?
It's said child labor free not slave
@@Nzmwwww1238what chocolate factory doesn't 😂
This video really rehabilitated my image of MrBeast.
loved this:) so inspiring!
My grandmother who never watch youtube got hooked into Beast Games. Now she asked me when the next episode is coming out.
and the critics hate it!
Great episode! Wish you guys all the best
I was in the twins video :) it was a legendary experience, jimmy is once of the busiest dudes ever
44:21 - "If a Minecraft Let's player wanted to make Beast Games... [it] would just suck and it would flop."
Ironic considering Jimmy's first several videos were about Minecraft and now he's just created and produced Beast Games.
Not a fan of Mr.Beast generally, but commenting for Colin and Samir to help with their crisis
Alright 👍
I can appreciate the interview as an insight into an anomaly, as that is what Mr Beast is in the RUclips scene. Don't need to like Mr Beast to like learning more about all of this
They’re rich they will be okay
@ someone having a large amount of assets does not necessarily mean they are rich
Same honestly
Really interesting hearing him speak about how amazing the show will be - the ability to connect to contestants, the stories.... but the show doesn't allow for the audience connection, there is too many people playing very basic games like "catch a ball" and "throw a ball in to a cup".
Interesting to hear his comment which was essential "don't you know who I am?". His audience is quite specific and there is every possibility these people don't know anything about him.
So true. Beast games is so bad it’s unwatchable
Your crazy until your successful - MR beast
This version of Jimmy is amazing, he has evolved so much. He looks comfortable and happy in social interactions now.
We can change things for the better and make a better world.
had the same reaction!
No one told you about the allegations? NO?
You hit the nail on the head with this comment, and I’ve been in more of his videos than any random person ever.
@@MrCodyStrickland which comment buddy?
Y’all are doing a great job 👏 keep it up ❤
Also 48:17 MrBeast x RockStar Games video game soon? 😂 that would break the world. Release: 2030
Yay - new episode! Always an interesting talk when Jimmy is on
7:00 "If this flops, everyone will think I'm just a youtuber"
BEAST GAMES RATING:
5,1/10 IMDb
2/10 IGN
1,3/10 Rotten Tomatoes
jimmy donaldson, you're just a youtuber
he aint gon view ur comment bro
The time where IMDB ratings meant something is long gone dude
Regardless of the rating from critics, I love the show. It’s genuinely a good game show and worth watching.
90% audience on rotten tomatoes, google reviews has 50/50 split between 5 and 1 star reviews. He also pulled insane numbers, so regardless of split perception there is a market for it.
Right, because people go to IGN or IMDB to see if a reality game TV show is good or not. How out of touch are you? Lmfao
Dude I could watch Jimmy’s interview all day long.
Crazy mindset
Did they ever acknowledge the failure of beast burger in the past few years? I feel like it's a taboo to talk about, beast never mentions it
i dont really watch colin and samir because their type of videos just aren't really the types of videos i watch, but i eat these mr beast interviews up
22:31 kinda weird how they started the video talking about how they are friends and the Jimmy had to check if he was married or not.
Kinda sounds like Ur hating to hate ngl
I can't even be bothered to explain how stupid what you said was
@samninjago8216 it's stating an observation on what was said.
yay but u dont run 3 businesses while having 300 friends, maybe im wrong hihi
I’m obsessed with Jimmy. Thank you Sir for changing the world! 👏👏👏👏
As a beast games contestant…some of the handpicked storylines early on didn’t pan out because those people didn’t make it far…I.e. sifu, 42…it was a good bet, but didn’t pan out
But if you pre-created those storylines by people watching ‘qualifiers’ on RUclips…now they know some people that will appear…and are already somewhat invested…
Still…best experience I’ve ever had-whatever is done-I’m watching😊
You guys should interview the cast of the show “Jet lag the game” they are so great.
Video starts at 06:12
It's a bit subversive
Thanks bro 🤣🤣
Thanks
Yeah skip to this time stamp if you wanna miss valuable information and hate to hear informative stuff
so much yapping. just put jimmy on bro lmao
Jimmy cracks me up in Beast Games! He’s like some evil squirrel from some mad scientist cartoon! He is absolutely loving it! And I’m absolutely loving watching him loving it!
Never missed a video 🔥
respectfully, i disagree with them at 12:00 point.
So exciting to see "Colin" make it into the top 10 on beast games ;)
Here’s a fun fact Jimmy: I don’t know what CGI is nor does 99% of the population. Keep crushing 🔥
PS: to the host don’t give Jimmy advice on how to make his videos otherwise it wouldn’t be Jimmy
Push to 10K contestants if that’s what you feel Jimmy.
With that said, amazing interview 🚀
I was hesitant to click this video, because the title and thumbnail looks like it'll be filled with softballs, but here we go, let's give it a go
30:33 I am so proud to hear all the things that mr beast stands for.
@@visheshsonkar5786 Spotter Studio is not available to us in South Africa. My business would like to purchase it but they won't allow us to.
Colin and Samir looking at Jimmy like proud older brothers 😂 love the vibes.
Hoping you guys are doing okay 💪🏻
Great episode as always such a measured conversation. Happy to hear about the works MrBeast is doing in Africa its a very difficult and honourable things. Big props!
*We need Heroes*
In a day and age, in which we grow ever distrustful of people and in which our Western Cultures become increasingly more cynical, we need more people who others can look up to and who are a "net positive".
Despite all the allegations against Mr. Beast, I personally think he truly is trying his best to not only be a net positive, but to overall be a good person.
Keep it up, Jimmy, you have millions of people rooting for you including me 🙏.
Bro, Colin, with all due respect, never wish anybody would stop winning especially mrbeast, that's disgusting and ur words have power, peace.
Did people actually watch the previous video? Why are so many unaware this is pre-recorded yet they mention the fire.
Hearing when this was filmed - it is devastating to know what hasn’t yet happened. Feeling for you guys. Take care. From a neighbor in Hollywood.
Hii, I am one of the few people here in the audience who is not a creator. I don't understand everything and can't remember all the details from all the episodes but still find it interesting where RUclips is going and what is happening in the creator world, looking at it as the consumer. 😊
youtube is going to take over TV in 2025 I think
This has turned from a game to psychological torture. He uses old school psychological dilemmas and watch people deteriorate to their base behavior. No longer fun to watch.
Jimmy, obviously great at youtube. For making a reality TV show, he should talk to some guys like Jeff Probst (if he hasn't already) and learn from him about storytelling in a reality TV show.
What I also love is Jimmy! He’s a phenomenal host. And the minions are so fun because of that on the fly commentary quality from people who have relationships. I mean the scale is just so fun too. Love Beast Games so much.
Jimmithy Beast needs to remove "blah blah blah" from his vernacular.
What camera and lens is this ? It’s very clear .
You guys should interview Alex Hormozi
How do people comment this is the best video theyve see in months even tho the video is 1 hour and it has only been 1 min sinsce uploaded lmaoo
bluds be playing the vid on 100x speed 😭
Lmaooo !
Was on Spotify like 8hrs ago aha
bots probs
Everything about mr beast is fake. He is followed around by an army of bots and co-dependent viewers to help maintain his image. Unfortunately, it's a scam.
The conversation about creators losing what made them special was covered in that one iCarly episode where they tried to turn it into that tv show for kids.
I find it so stupid how Mr. Beast talks about making money as money that's not reinvested, everyone reinvests money into their business that's what a business is that's how businesses work that's why you separate revenue from profit and why revenue's always so much higher
I can’t get over how there’s a guy in Beast Games who looks like Colin’s doppelgänger! You guys should interview him haha
Beast games they're always yapping about how sad they are and how much they love their friend they met on the show. To me when I see that it feels fake
13:08 there is a decently successful big show with weekly drops; Jet Lag: The Game. Would love to see one of them (or ideally all 3) on your show
Sending love from Canada. I hope you guys can recover after the fire and I intend to watch all your newest uploads. Also The Publish Press is fantastic
Beast Games is truly awesome, truly exceeded my expectations. Jimmy you're the best, truly. keep going. obv also Colin and Samir, thank you for your work, always appreciated
30:00 it’s SO GREAT that Jimmy is working for Feastable to be ethically sourced! Things like that are why I like him so much! Keep up the good work!
Not me driving past both Coca-Cola and P&G office buildings while listening to this
Only in Ohio 😂
13:10 MrBeast just has no clue about the "season watch behavior" on YT in some countries. Here in Germany/ Austria we got nowadays very much used to big shows droping twice a week. (7vsWild, The Race, Manhunt, Facing the Unknown, Nerd in the Dirt, Into the Unknown, Warrior series...). I can imagine this to existing in other countries aswell.
not a fan of mr beast, but commenting for supportive engagement for colin and samir
cant believe you are still working with this guy ...
I was curious and went to see how ranked the BTS video…I really loved that episode, I guess people are not that much into BTS.
Love Ya'll, thanks for caring for us as a community for so long!
The fact he thinks Beast Games could win an Emmy is hilarious
I love that the Colin clone is still in!
The moat editor 👁️ 👄 👁️
Good work Colin & Samir Team! 👍
You titled it like this was the post beast games interview... click bait.
If Jimmy is a genius why hasn’t he developed a way to keep his employees away from minors?
💀
I've been watching beast games. Mr. Beast and these youtubers are becoming Regis Philbin, Martha Stewart, or Jay Leno. Hollywood and prime time television has become on demand RUclips content. These guys aren't the first people to do these things they are just shifting the entertainment industry to the internet instead of cable.
Mr Beast exists in a world where The Floor Is Lava and Is It Cake are well watched streaming shows. Of course Beast Games will be popular.
This was so energizing
