I just love that I have to keep thinking how on earth did he do that without really trying to analyse every move and every word . I don't in fact want to know, I just enjoy being amazed and entertained just like a kid again, that's the real magic behind the act.
I genuinely had the Jack of Clubs on my mind. I kept thinking what if the revealed card is the jack of clubs? When it was revealed my heart started racing. Felt like a kid again. Very cool.

Kostya, I was just searching for a way to escape from an awkward situation when the people tells you that they won't say the card.... I thought that this video was leading to that little piece of art.... But I found a treasure. You're amazing!
Jordan Fonseca Mayorga Tell them that they need to say what the card is so they won’t cheat the outcome (say something like in your last performance one dude got his selected card but decided to say NO IT IS NOT). That is the main rationale.
Go with the classic: "I'm paid per hour as a magician, not as mind reader" (say mentalist for the smart cookies). Works for me everytime. Enjoy.

My favourite magic tricks are the simplest ones. This was absolutely amazing (and can only presume the simpler something looks, the more work it is to do!) Well done Mr Kimlat sir :)

The Jedi mind trick was said to work only on the weak-minded. :-)
This is one of those tricks that just seem too impossible to be believable. There is no way to force the card or use sleight of hand, so the only options left that I can think of are: a) she's a stooge (lame af, I want to believe Kostya wouldn't stoop so low), b) a mentalist gamble based on statistically most often chosen cards (not unconceivable but super risky), or c) impossible sci-fi tech with an ultra thin e-ink display or something (not likely at all).
I have no idea what to think of this, but I'm not surprised it seems to evoke more skepticism than wonder - it's just too perfect.

Wow! I don't get this - at all. I mean most of the card tricks are about a sleigh of hand (and even that way, it can be pretty impressive) - but how the hell could you do this, without even touching the deck??? I'm amazed.

I really hope this isn't the case. After all, I expect a skilled magician (which Kostya clearly is, as he demonstrated by fooling Penn & Teller) to have some professional honor which wouldn't let him to do this in such a cheap and lousy way.

@@byevrolex If I find out the whole "magic trick" was just a set-up with another person, the trick is ruined for me. I want to be misdirected and fooled by the magician's skills, not an outright lie of picking "completely random person" who is in fact their sidekick.

Don't think so. Their reactions seem too real. Especially when the host refuses to say her card, you can see Kostya's reaction.
Also, He's a professional magician who fooled Penn and Teller. There's no reason to resort to a cheap trick and put his reputation at risk.
@@rayzhong8542 the fact she said no makes it more staged lol, a host would never try to ruin the trick of a performer on live tv, also why would she refuse the first time and say the card the second time? nothing changed.

It's not staged, he would tell you how he does it, but it will kostya to understand.
Listen. There's absolutely no reason for her to say no when she's asked to name the card, specially in front of a camera doing a sponsored paid program. Why would she not comply with the magician and put him on the spot? It seems as if she was already prepared for that question and her answer. I don't know if this show is live or not, but TV hosts are not hecklers.
It's fine, I can't assert that it's staged, but everything is pretty suspicious.
