Brenda you taught me something new. I've been putting my meat and sauce on way to thick when I make lasagna. It takes forever to set up. I made lasagna so many times that I finally got tired of it. I have learned some shorter techniques that might help you make it faster. Don't boil the noodles. My sister told me that trick. Just get the noodles like you normally get. Layer everything the same as you would. I use 4 different cheeses and neither one is cottage cheese or ricotta. I don't like either one. But anyway your cooking everything in the oven for at least an hour and the sauce and all the cheese will melt and cook the noodles with everything else on top. I love a lot of cheese. Your lasagna looks real good! You can tell David is feeling better with all the teasing. 🤣 Glad your both better. ❤ My mom use to say a messy cook is a good cook. I agree.
@@katiejones9874 I use the regular noodles. Their cheaper than the pasta sheets. In an hour or little more everything is done.
I’m like your mama as I never leave anything in a can. I see so many RUclips cooks, especially young ones, who just leave so much in a can that goes to waste. I’m 65 and I’ve gone through some lean times so I use everything. I love you and your family and appreciate you making these videos for us. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰
I’m 45 and I was brought up old school Italian and I learned not to waste food
I was brought up to use a rubber spatula and scrape out the can! It drives me nuts watching these cooks leave so much in the cans & pots…sometimes enough for a whole serving! My poor OCD 😂

Brenda that looks delicious, that is probably just some fat from the cheese. I always get everything out of the can, I usually add a little water to the can so I don't miss one drop. Glad you and David are finally feeling better and especially glad you were able to do this video after 3 times. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Stay safe and well.

We had covid for such a long time. My husband was in the hospital for 1 month and the rehab for 1 1/2 weeks. I suffered with covid here at home. We share a home with our daughter. Our sense of smell and sense of taste was gone for months. But we survived. We had friends that didn't. I hate covid. Glad you guys survived. Love your videos.

I love watching you cook but love you and David chattering back and forth, you are a fun couple. Brenda, years ago I was out of hamburger and wanted to make pasta so I used Jimmy Dean Italian sausage in the bulk roll. Well, we loved it better than hamburger and I use it now in all my pasta dishes including Lasagna. Give it a try and see how you like it. Thanks for a great video.

Well you put cheese in a bowl then mix with egg an then dry cheese again, interesting! I have never done that maybe I will try it lol.
I always mix egg, cottage cheese, sourcream together, then I use ready bake noodle. So I put my sauce, noodle, layer of cheese mix, then noodle, layer of meat. Then sprinkle mozzarella over it, then repeat till done. I do not care for ricotta cheese so I don’t use it.
Mine turns out great. But you also add regular shred cheese to the mix an then again. I love cheese to never can have go much. Who is counting calories while egging this marvelous masterpiece.
