I agree with your statement about their influence and sound - I think the Warning really showed that 3 pieces are still cool and that’s gonna show in a lot of artists inspired by that. FTF has their own unique sound, which can have all kinds of influences, but is FTF at the end of the day 💪

Amazes me how well they understand Music theory, and can compose as they do. That thought process leading up to the actual execution (performing) it, has always intrigued me. What key, who drives the song Bass/drums/both, Subtle or in your face intros, vocal Inflection, timing, pause, Bridge transition, outro hard or soft, etc... It's just so much to think of and do for a short 3 mins of finished product. These 3 youngsters are leaps and bounds ahead of so many already, and it's a rare blessing to witness. They are in a very small pool of talented peers, and the sky is the limit for them. Talent is only part of it, hard work and dedication to the craft takes you further, and from what I have seen so far, they are doing just this. I see the potential in them. ❄
They are getting a good jump start and quickly growing a big fanbase! They have an awesome dynamic sound thats new and fresh while tapping into nostalgic grooves! They have incredible hooks that pull you in instantly! I see them having a very bright future at the pace they are going!
They have no weaknesses. Zero. Lyrics, vocals, guitar, drums, bass, song structure, phrasing, timing, are all literally flawless. And this is just their introductory EP. If it had 5 more songs, it would be a rock solid album. Believe me, the other 3 songs are even BETTER. Broken Glass, oof.
I'm from up north and December is no joke! I cant believe they didnt at least have a little space heater of some sort but they powered through like champs and professionals do!
Thanks for revisiting this band, excellent analysis! Yes, one of their inspirations is The Warning, but they definitely have their own sound. I hear Megadeth, Tool, Dream Theater, Flyleaf, Evanescence, Dianthus flavours as well. These two songs are barely scratching the surface of what they're capable of. I saw them live a few weeks ago, and they can absolutely lay it down live. This is a band that people will be able to say "Yeah, I discovered them when they were still in high school, and they were amazing even back then."
