I think they made this version heavier than the original that they performed at Crown & Thieves. I watched that original performance earlier and this definitely has more punch to it with the heavy drops. I love it!

Another solid track from such a young band. Such a massive main riff and some interesting note choices for the vocals during the verses too (along with the great harmonies). I think I liked the main vocal hook of the chorus more in Glitch, and the ending of this track is a bit abrupt (my metalhead tastes would've liked a return to the heavy bridge riff to end the song on), but still, everything from the production quality to the video to the songwriting is really well done. If they can get enough reps to bring this energy and accuracy live, how cool would it be for them to open for The Warning on one of their future Canadian tours?

Dude. Look them up. Identical twin prog metal duo, guitars and drums.
While containing both structural and lyrical elements of the original version posted there have been a number of drastic changes. They are practically two different, but connected, songs. This version is structurally more complex, while being lyrically simpler. The spoken word section is an interesting choice, and adds a somewhat sinister touch to the song. This version is louder, but somehow more melodic. The first version has a more straight forward drive, and is both lyrically and vocally angrier. It also has a more personal feel. This version has more of an anthemic feel. This version plays for the crowd, a call to action perhaps, the first version is basically a gauntlet to the face.
It is kind of like getting a view of both early on, and then towards the end of a hero's journey storyline.
I enjoy both versions, and am curious to see what comes next.

Like so many hundreds of new bands, they have one thing to work on: Vocal Intelligibility. I love the energy and the musical performance. But the vocals are truly buried in the mix. This is the fourth time I've heard it, and the only line I understand is "Nations hide their eyes." I'm not even sure about that one. Good vocal processing is an art form unto itself, but one worth learning. Presumably, if a song has lyrics, they were meant as some sort of message that the author/lyricist wants to be heard. Proper EQ, compression, reverb, doubling, delay, and other techniques can make them rise above the mud of the mix and poke the listener in the brain. The Warning figured this out around 2020. Maybe it took David Bendeth working with them and teaching them a thing or two, but whatever... Their vocals are pristine after then. HYCAD live is a perfect example.
The odd thing to me is that the vocals are clearer in the live original version of Daughters of Witches they posted back in May. While the overall sound quality is better in this version, and I am not finding it as hard to understand the words as you are, I have to agree that the vocals seem to be a bit buried in the mix.
