Thanks for a good lesson! Though you ought to know that I will still never use word ”ought” when speaking english, because it just feels too difficult. 😅
I'd like to know if you ar britsh or russian. You pronounce English is very clear and it's good for me, because I am learning English. Thank you. (I'm brazilian, Porto Alegre city).
Hello….. thanks for ur best explanation but i think just a think that we can’t use (ought to) in Q and N it got wrote in think cambridge if u could answer
Ought to is rarely used in questions and negatives. When it is, it is confined mainly to formal styles. grammar.collinsdictionary.com/easy-learning/when-do-you-use-ought-to-in-english#:~:text=Ought%20to%20is%20rarely%20used,comes%20between%20ought%20and%20to.
Do you teach Russian too ? I never saw at the play list your Russian classes; I began to study this language, but someone stoll my books and dictionaries inclusive.
Hi, I'm new here. I just listened to a video for you 5 years ago and it seems that you have become more expert. I just have a small comment: when you pronounce "ought to" it sounds kind of weird when you pronounce the two "t"s separately. You should put them together and pronounce them like one "t" when you say ought to, like "oughto" simply one word with pressure on the "t".. I'm not an english native, but I have been learning for many years, and I felt I have to pick your attention to this point of pronunciation. Last, Do your best. You are very good..

What does mean That ought to do it?
Does this mean it should work?
Or That should make it?
That ought to do it. That should do it - means something will be enough, or it means that you have just finished doing something
