Sorry about the dirty toilet, I just do the maintenance in the apartments. The cleaners take care of cleaning the toilets. But I did this video to help poeple with slow running toilets.
OMG after looking at 8 different videos, this man nailed it! When I looked inside my tank, the hose was simply disconnected. Works perfect now. Thank you for saving me money
Thank u so much. U saved me probably thousands for a 3 second fix. I searched forever for a fix. Everything i found was BS that even i knew wasnt going to fix this kinda problem. They just wanted u to use there plumper.
Thank you for sharing. My hose was bent and not allowing water to flow. Corrected the bent hose and flushed as should. Thank you once again for sharing and God bless you!
Thank you for sharing this video!!! I appreciate it so much. Great instructions. I feel confident that I can now fix my weak flushing toilet!! God bless you!
Good job, I would have changed that supply line, flapper and toilet handle as well. Also, if you clean the water flow holes under the rim inside the toilet that will help you get better flow for a stronger flush.
After trying all these fixes this simple solution worked 100% It is most likely your chain is too short if that doesn't fix it then remove flapper and see if there adjustments on it, if so adjust to highest setting. Problem solved
Awesome easy diy. I replaced the entire unit like you did, and off course the fill valve had alot more pressure once i replaced it. The flapper definitely closes later than before, but its still right on the edge between an actual full flush and right before the toilet actually clears. And the new valve has an adjustable flow for the valve going into the flapper tube, and its at the max. The water is like rushing in, but still right on the edge of a full flush. Perhaps the flapper needs replacement?
IF the fill valve and drain assembly are sold together, the flexible fill hose MUST CONNECT to the tap on the flush drain, rather than just go in the drain pipe. Operating the flush can knock the fill hose loose, which will give problems similar to this video, but very easy to fix.
The drain assembly I mentioned was similar to the Kohler Power Piston. If your cutoff valve is old, it may be easier to wire the float in place instead of trying to turn the valve.
What does the "toilet fill valve" do? Just fill the tank? If the old fill valve doesn't have enough pressure, does that just mean that the tank if filling up more slowly?
Honestly, I couldn't tell any difference. the flush still looked very weak and slow at the end. could it possibly be the length of the chain is too long, and it doesn't open the drain clog long enough? I'm having the same problem, but this video didn't look very convincing.
If the chain is to long it possibly may be only opening a little because the chain is not being pulled enough, if that’s your case tighten your chain. A little.
Im at our friends house and the toilet once did this its fixed now another story once for a reason i forgot the toilet at home started to overflow very slowly
After doing this repair and attempting to clear the toilet I think there's something to do with a vent ? Great video any other ideas to help a toilet if these things so far haven't helped
Ha ha I saw all the water spit out of your white thing I can’t remember the name, that’s all the water that was getting into the tank on this toilet, replaced the unit works great now, oh and I got frustrated and called a plumber.

Wow. This is my 18th video for this issue and NONE of the others was as straight forward and simple to understand. WELL DONE and thanks a million.

Those are great ideas!! Thanks
3:06 to prevent this water goes to the floor you can use a Shop-Vac and suck all the water it's in the tank and the bowl
That's a great way of emptying the tank!! Thanks Ruben!!
@@MaintenanceManNarratives you're welcome buddy

So that's what it's for! I'll try to follow your instructions, and if it works, you're one great guy!
It should work!! Thanks

Great job thanks for the knowledge.
Thanks!!
Basically what i thought it might be. After narrow it down. Got to wait a few days to get one.
Yea, this is a very common problem. Good luck!
@@MaintenanceManNarratives thanks
What if the toilet keeps running on its own, it refills after a , like it’s leaking.what is the solution?
Thanks I just moved out of my parents and on my own! I needed this
Thanks for commenting and glad I could help!

Would this happen too if my toilet raises water and flushes super slow and weak?

Thanks man, this trick worked perfectly!
That's great!! Thanks for letting me know!!
0:00 Why the water level is low in the bowl?
What if i dont have a tank behind the toilet? 😀 There's just a single pipe connected to the toilet from the wall and a flush button on it
I've never worked on those 😬
That's usually only seen in commercial settings. I'm sorry to tell you this, but you're going to have to call a plumber for that.
This was my solution, thanks man
Thanks, I always love it when a video helps someone!!
We just moved to this house we are in and our toilet will almost be empty. Then I flush it and it gets close to spilling out.
Bowl nearly fills to the top before draining. Siphon jet problem?
Yea!! That's very common when this happens
Great video man.
Great job! A lot of great information! Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Thanks for commenting!! Thank you
I have to hold the handle down to get it to flush sometimes what eles could it be
It could be an old flapper that is not floating or is damaged.
Thank you so much, my plumber suggest black acid, but now I know better I gonna get a new valve and install myself.
Hope that solves it
Loved the video. Super knowledgeable and helpful
Hey!! Thank you!!
Thank you for posting this helpful video!
Thanks for the tips.
Welcome!!
Thanks for your help it worked 👍
Will this also help a slow filling toilet? My toilet both is slow to fill and doesn’t flush completely
Yes it should.
The last flush is the improvement ?
That flush wouldn't even get half my log.
You need a doctor if you poop like that
🤣🤣
Thank you, I did it, now waiting for my hubby to say....eh, how'd the toilet get fixed, hahaha
Wow!! That's awesome 👌
Is that a wash down toilet or a siphonic toilet?
Siphonic
What about if your toilet is stopped up but it’s not over flowing, it’s just not completely full
The toilet bowl or tank?
@@MaintenanceManNarratives toilet bowl
👍👍🔥
In my opinion it is still weak flush, you need to clear those rim jet, with wire poke them, tank need more water ht. needed.
I did that and still won't go down what do you suggest now
The drain line may need to be cleaned (snaked)
Thank you for sharing
Thanks!!
Doesn't that hose just fill the bowl after/during the flush?
I thought the same thing. This video is very confusing.
Great video! I’m a new subscriber and new maintenance tech. Really helpful information, thanks for the tip!
Thanks, really appreciate the subscription!!
That toilet bowl looks like has an axis. Is it planet Saturn?
🤣🤣
i thought the sponge was the way to fix it 😖
🤣🤣🤣
Im at our friends house and the toilet once did this its fixed now another story once for a reason i forgot the toilet at home started to overflow very slowly
Subscribed just because
Thanks!!
But when I took a dump it started doing it. I’m 100 sir it’s slightly clogged the toilet paper goes down and all it just flushes really slow
toilet is brand new, tanks just pumped, drains not plugged, so why is my toilet flushing slowly.
Foos gone wild toilet fixing edition 🤣
Good stuff
Thank you!
You can order a fill valve here
amzn.to/376eTKx
Your fill valve is broke. Water shouldn’t spray out like that.
Yep... that's why I replaced it.
Agree! I saw that obvious problem right away!
👍
Thanks man!!
What diference thats look same to me bro
float ball to float?
Use a shop vac to suck up the water 🎉
I've never liked that. I always plunge with water in it
Siphon?
That's kind of the concept.. but it's called a jet. The water that is pushed creates a pull draft. Thanks for commenting!
After doing this repair and attempting to clear the toilet I think there's something to do with a vent ?
Great video any other ideas to help a toilet if these things so far haven't helped
I can fix that by tighten the screws on the fill valve on the old fill valve
The whole valve needs to be replaced
👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Maybe just hold the handle down
praise the Lord, Jesus Christ is King!
Can't argue their!! God bless!!
ESTODO HOMIE !
Gracias!!

Oh I believe it’s the fill valve.
Does not work tried it
Now you have some extra time to scrub that nasty bowl out. 🤢
Clean the rim holes. That toilet still is not right
You could have clean the toilet bro 🤣🤣🤣🤣
