My partner and I bought the kova sectional, and got it a week ago. The shipping was terrible! If I were them I would go with a different company. It came quickly, but I never got a phone call to schedule a delivery. I had to drop my day to meet the delivery truck at my house. Once the guy came, he dropped the entire pallet in my parking spot, and drove off without a word. Once I was done being irritated in the delivery driver, I dove in to put it together. The sofa wasn't the easiest to put together, but if you put the long sides in first it makes the shorter sides a bit easier. My bracket to connect the sectional was broken, the spring popped out, luckily it has two. I decided to unscrew the broken one and put the working one in its spot. After all that.. and once it was together.. it's a beautiful sofa. We went with the olive green velvet because we have animals. The material is perfect. This by far is the best sofa I've ever owned, and my last sofa was from Joybird. It's only been a week, but aside from the terrible delivery service we love the sofa. It's super cozy! Again Albany Park l, please find another delivery service!

I ordered mine in October and it was delivered in Nov 2022. The delivery company was very unprofessional just left the wooden slacks in the middle of the sidewalk , I reported this to the company and Albany and basically was told “okay”. I got the Kova Sofa 84" Blue Velvet and had a 10% off coupon. Total I paid was $1,335. The pros, it’s huge with lots of depth. I use it as a spare bed when friends sleep over. I throw a mattress pad ontop and my guest are comfy. The cons, the feathers poke out daily, the fluff flattens every other day, and not sure plus size people can use it constantly without the proper maintenance( fluffing it. Vacuuming it, etc ). I do nap on it at times and it’s comfy. I do wish it was “cloud” like but I don’t think it is. Overall, I don’t see myself buying another piece yet we will be using it until we purchase a home. I did read on Reddit that you can buy heigh density foam and replace the bottom cushions. I’ll wait to do that but if I do, I’ll let you all know. Overall 6/10.
I have had my Kova Pit for a year now and I really love it. I suffer lower back pain and I also fractured my tail bone last year and this sofa actually makes it comfortable for me to sit and work so I have nothing but good things to say. My friends actually love to sleep on it whenever they stay overnight. I am buying another one soon.
We purchased the Kova L Shaped w/grey fabric back on 10/22 for our airbnb, and we got lucky on the delivery! It arrived within a month all the way to So Cal. I actually do love it, and really don’t have any complaints nor have I received any from our guests. I also noticed people say they have issues with the feathers coming out, maybe it’s the ones with velvet material? Our grey is pretty thick and sturdy no issues with that for us. BUT again it is in our airbnb, and we don’t sit on it everyday! I came back to check reviews because I’m considering ordering the pit for our main home. I REALLY want the cloud couch, but for us older folks I don’t think thats the best idea since my hubby has back issues. I do know the cloud sits low and is not firm at all, I thought this could be that happy medium for us! Our Kova is good height and is firm but still fluffy enough and I would go as far and say it’s a dupe for the cloud kinda? I’m reading the comments from people that have purchased after us and they don’t sound good, now I’m reconsidering and maybe taking a look at the love sac couch, or will see what else is out there.

I think we will spend the extra money and get the Lovesac- plus there's a showroom within an hour of here so we can go check it out in person. I bought a KOVA and returned it ( you do, get your money back but lose 10%. I knew and was ok with that and they were great to work with. No complaints ). It can be built by one person, but I agree it's difficult. I recommend using a rubber mallet to bang the edges into place. You can really hurt your hand doing it with the heel of your palm or the side of your fist. I thought I had fractured my hand when I did it. In any case, I returned it in part because the deep teal is not teal, but bottle green with very little to no blue in it. It's very pretty, but very hard to coordinate with other colors and I just couldn't make it work. I also returned it for the reasons you describe about it not being suitable as a primary sofa, especially the falling in between the cushions problem. Overall, I it's a good sofa for the right application, but you are spot on about its cons. Very good and highly accurate review.
I got my dark grey kova in March 2021. I love it and I'm happy. The only thing is that feathers are constantly coming out, so I have to pick them off for it to look clean. Also, I bought another section later and the greys don't match - the new one is lighter. No one has said anything but I definitely notice it.
Just got it and love it. It took a bit of effort to get all the boxes upstairs alone as it's rather large. Putting it together alone wasn't that hard once I figured out how it was supposed to work.
I’m getting 3 corners and an ottoman in blue velvet off of fb marketplace for $500 total… I currently have an ikea friheiten with the chaise. REALLLLYYY hoping I’m not going to regret it 😬
We just got ours today! We got the velvet one and shipping was a nightmare. We ordered back in November and just received it. Shipping was also delayed about a week from when we were told it would arrive. Also assembly was tough indeed! It took me and my boyfriend to put it together. I have a gray Kova and I hate it. My primary complaint is that it is horribly uncomfortable to lay across because the support from one section to the next is firm and will dig into your side. I really wish I hadn’t bought this couch
The problem with them is, even when they send you a defective item, if you decide not to keep it you have to pay return shipping. I’m still waiting for my refund. Not ordering from them again!
Their website says that if you receive a defective item there is no return shipping fee, so I'm not sure why you would pay to return....I certainly wouldn't. It would be considered false advertisement and they'd have lawsuits if that were the case.

I have a Kova and it’s a pretty nice couch. I alone and take the sides and backs on and off. It is by far the most comfy sofa I have ever slept on! I don’t know how others are sleeping? But, the cushions do not slide and don’t have to fluff as much as this person is saying. I put a sheet over the cushions and I sleep like a baby. Not the same sleeping on a conventional sleep sofa. I do no feel anything with the Kova.
Almost every review on google is terrible about this sofa. I was going to purchase this but after the reviews I doubt it. People have made BBB reports. Lots of reviews saying they sent the wrong parts and you have to pay a few hundred to ship. This is disappointing because I wanted this
It’s a terrible company. We received broken pieces in the original shipment and have not been able to get a response from them for over 2 years now. Non-existent customer service. Steer clear of them.
I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed in our sofa. We bought the Kova pit. It was amazing when we first purchased it but, 8 months later, I'm regretting it. The cushions already feel as if they are breaking down. The fabric does not seem to be holding up well. And I agree that this is NOT a heavy use sofa AT ALL. It now just looks sloppy and messy. I do like that it's modular, but that's about it. Really wishing I would have done more research.

We have the Kova in the green. I would never, EVER buy it again. The stitching is not great. We have a couple of seams coming loose. The big one is, the feathers are like needles in the cushions. ***UPDATE*** They offered us $$$ to have the stitching fixed locally. They also sent replacement pillows that do not have feathers in there. As far as customer service goes, they went above and beyond.
Just received my sofa from Albany Park and it is TERRIBLE quality! I wish I could show you guys photos in this comment section. The sofa is held together with single-stitches instead of machine surging (basically the cloth is going to rip and come off very soon after buying unless this is a show room sofa, only. Goodness help you if you wash it.) The staples that hold the bottom together are all over the place, random staples in the actual sofa where they should not be.... They also sent me multiple pieces with holes in the fabric. No white glove delivery and you will wait over a month to receive your product. When I say this is NOT worth $2500, I mean I would spend $400 on what I received, MAXIUMUM. Haven't even gotten a chance to put it together and sit on it to test the comfortability because of all of the otherwise issues. I hope anyone who purchases from them has a far better experience than mine. As far as pros - The green sofa is an absolutely stunning color in person. It's just made like crap, so I'm sad to say that I'm not even sure I'll be electing to keep it. If anyone knows of a company that sells a mossy green cloud dupe sofa that is really quality for less than $3,000, please let me know.

Why do you say not to have it as your main couch?
I personally don’t see how it’s practical, since the sofa needs to be fluffed a lot. But it’s up to you.

This sofa is very expensive. If you don’t feel 100% comfortable ordering from Albany Park, then I’d suggest finding a similar alternative.
