when I arrived in Istanbul (Yesilkoy airport) it was by PANAM DC 7c....that was in 1957 so I think much has changed since the late 1950s :) and in two years living near Yalova. we had snow just one day.
my head hurts from the sound of "drill" for takeoff. maybe the video is perceived? always I flew the TU 134 and the sound of the engine there is incomparable

Absolutely phenomenal shadow work there! The only drawback for me was noticing an eerie effect of the shadow flying into hi-rise buildings, a la 9/11.

The view was just east Istanbul there is more city west of the airport
