  • 2 hour half marathon training continues grinding through the end of summer.
    The cool temps of the weeks before are a thing of the past. The heat cranked up this block. In these two weeks, I had the best and worst Parkruns of the summer. Also, two long runs, a couple of runs on the treadmill and a run with the twins.
    Goal Race - Detroit Half Marathon October 20
    Upcoming Races: Growler Gallop 10 miler in September 22
    Hawk Hustle 5k October 6

    Great effort Steve, you’ve put the work in - one last push before the taper. I’m running the full in Toronto on same day as your half. I had the same goal as you last May (Vancouver half) and I remember clearly a lot of my nerves building before raceweek as it never felt ‘in the bag’, but that’s what I love about running & pushing my fitness - what a privilege we have to do this - kick hard & stick to your plan my friend!!       @@stevemckellar4978 it’s a well run event, I’m sure you’ll love it. I’m in London , Ont so Detroit is on my bucket list for sure - maybe our races will line up down the road in coming years - cheers!
