Maybe it’s just me but I don’t see the parts house coupon. ❤❤
I knew I’d forget! It should be in the description now!
Thanks puddin!❤❤
@@NOD1776 This was a test and only a test... You have now moved up to level 2! Congrats Enjoy The Show!!
@@PuddinsFabShop2Good luck with the transmission issue. I really hope it's something electrical... When the one went on my car though, the fluid wasn't sparkling either though.
I was dumb back then and paid someone to rebuild it instead of getting a remanufactured one for $200 more! Live and learn...
One trick i learned if i have a questionable coil in the back of the engine I switch it with one on the front of the engine that is more accessible. That way if it is bad then it is alot easier to switch out with a new one.
Exactly
It fills my heart with joy that your helping your mom. I lost mine just before Thanksgiving 22 and I was her go to for just about everything under the sun. I DAMN sure miss that but miss her even more than that. Thank you for this video, it made my day!
I feel your pain bud... lost mine Christmas of 2020... lost my best friend ..still struggle with it.
Something I’ve learned from personal experience on my own trailblazer back in the day. The wiper cowl would leak water onto the #6 coil and cause it to fail. It was a common issue on these. Hope this helps 👍
I guess I got lucky, I've owned multiple Trailblazers, from a 2004 to a 2008 and they have been The most reliable except my 2004 that the rear differential broke
A short piece of rubber gas hose makes a perfect tool for starting the plugs into their spot in the cylinder heads. It not only will prevent you from cross threading the plug, it may prevent you from dropping the plug. Just slip the terminal end of the plug into the hose and you're ready to install the plug!
This tip is provided to you by the good folks at Rebel Boat Works, a soon to be RUclips channel! 🤠
Dang that’s a cool trick. I’m takin notes.
🗿 a must on hot engines. 3/8 fuel hose works best, IMO. Definitely a trick all wrench turners should know 👍👍
Someone told me that trick after replacing the plugs on my Quad 4. I just used electrical tape to hold them to get started.
The parts place kept trying to sell me a wire set... I kept telling them I didn't need one. They said I'd be back. I said I would, but not for a wire set 🤣
I've been meaning to say... Thanks for your service.
Well, Puddin...
, since I'm in the top 10 of first comments on today's episode. I'd like to say thank you, my brother. And keep up the excellent work! You just make my days and weeks that much better for the fact that being disabled makes it difficult to do things. But watching you makes me feel like I'm out there with you and the trenches. My brother! Thank you so much for your humor and hospitality..
I’m with you sir, exact same trench… and puddin working his butt off helps take off the edge… and motivates….
good comment, be well as you can be James
All the best to you and all who are unable to do what they want! God Bless!!
The 'Atlas' engine in the Trailblazer is actually a really tough engine that responds well to boost. Definitely a low-cost (for now) option for people who want to take a slightly different route on a high-power build.
You should see if they’ll let you do a will it start on the $25 billboard box truck.
Got to love those 4l60e transmissions.
Thanks for the midweek video Puddin! You're a damn hard worker! I sure appreciate the extra effort you put in!
Puddin! Future reference. If you have a wasp nest like what you had there. Get a cup. Put a little gas in the bottom. And trap the nest with them in the cup. They will quickly fall right into the gas and you won’t have to worry about the mess!
I just tried this for the first time yesterday and it worked amazing !! Only had like a 1/2 inch of gas in the cup and it killed like 30 of em in 2 seconds !!!!
I love how at the end of all your videos you’re encouraging everyone to get off their butts and work on something….. well…. Stop putting out such good videos that keep us on our butts….lol…. Of course I’m kidding but you do put out great content. Thank you for what you do to keep us entertained.
Hey Puddin', I've got an '02 T-blaze with the 4200, if she's still runnin rough or sputtering try swapping the fuel filter. It's right under the driver's side, takes about 10 mins and they usually last about 30-50k miles.
Fuel filter never hurts to change out... But Puddin' has a transmission issue. Hopefully it's a solenoid or electrical in nature. I say that because there was nothing sparkling in the fluid... But that's not always the case.
Hey Puddin....yes, you are actually that funny! We love all of your stuff...God bless you and your family...and have a wonderful Independence Day weekend!!!!!!
How's the farter buddy is that you all healed up and back to full strength now? Another brilliant show as usual, thank you for all your hard work and for sharing this with us, all the best from Scotland
I'd love some second channel action on the B52 days. gotta be some good stories.
Check the TCM fuse. While researching transmission issues of my own in my Silverado I read if that fuse pops it puts the transmission into limp mode, stuck in 3rd in drive, but can be manually shifted, sounds pretty simular to what you have going on there.
just finished up an oil change on my GMC sierra 1500 ext cab 4x4, thank you for giving me more confidence too work on my own vehicle.
thats awesome
Rubber fuel hose works real good to put on the top of spark plugs to screw them in when your plug socket doesn’t have the rubber inside it. 😊
That blazer likely has the 4L60e trans. Those are notorious for shift issues. The aluminum valve body with steel internals wear poorly. You can get one for less than 200$ they are relatively easy to replace. Should cure the shift prob. Hope it helps brother!
Straight up, sarcastically funny, down to earth, laid back, no Bee-eSSorie!
Puddin makes gotta way about him that makes you feel like you're just hangin out with someone you already know..., havin a chat and sharing a laugh. Since I don't have anything pressing going on..., I can't think of a better way to sit back and relax for 41 minutes and enjoy some man's stuff.
Just take them old records off the shelf, had to put it back cuz puddin uploaded
Thanks Puddin for a midweek video.Just sit down after a bunch of work in the shop.Perfect timing.I hope you and the family have a Great July 4th
I always used a piece of vacuum hose to start my plugs. Keep up the good work.
I just watched a video from Summit racing and they happen to be talking about iridium spark plugs. According to the summit racing guy you’re not supposed to change the gap on iridium spark plugs because the wire is fragile. So you were correct not to change the gap. Great video.
Loving the van Puddin'. Been living in ours(wife, dog&I) for 8 years now...do my own wrenching @300,000 miles and going strong. Great shows!
Puddin, you rule! Thanks for all your hard work and time that you share! Stay awesome!
Mr Puddin, working on mama's rig. The lady is very blessed to have a Mighty Fine Son!!
Puddin,
Maybe someone commented on this, but in case they didn't. I've had good luck by doing what you did. When you start it up, let it idle. Then put A/C on. Go in gear and back out. Let it idle some more. After that you drive it. You're really just teaching it how to run and shift again. When I do this I drive it locally, then on the highway. Takes some time, but is well worth it. Doesn't help bad transmission though. Also might want to get some mass air flow cleaner and clean that sucker. That will also make a huge difference in how the vehicle runs. Not cheap, but well worth it.
I have depth perception problems too. You didn't mention that is this video - but I think it is cool how you just work around it. That is the best. Love note #3
That pepper needs to be made into a electric go-cart it would be the perfect crowd pleaser at venues, car shows and parades,
I think the videos are alot more fun when you're having fun. We do appreciate you. please have fun :)
Tech tip.. piece of fuel line hose to start them. Stick the plug in the end and turn it in
I may have had my hands on that Trailblazer! I worked at the assembly plant in Moraine, Ohio that built those! The plant was closed in 2008 and is now a Chinese auto glass factory.
Edit: The extended versions (GMT370) were built in Oklahoma City, but we did build some for a couple years after they were introduced
Did you assemble my 2006 TBSS sometime in October of 2005 (it was a pilot vehicle)? :)
Mr. Jim Flanagan been work on engine GM Assembly .👍👍 When here is the city great deal trucks built in Flint Michigan.
Three shifts, so there's a 33.33% chance I did. Those things are awesome!
My stepdad worked at that plant( OKC ). I remember when they switched the plant over from the Chevy Malibu to the Trailblazer. I also remember when they put in the mailbu line. He was in skilled trades and I got to see the equipment in detroit before they put it in the OKC plant.
@@josephawatson If I remember correctly, a tornado heavily damaged that plant. They repaired everything then ended up closing a few tears later.
A small chuck of rubber 3/8" hose on the spark plugs is a good way to get them started
Puddin time... reach out to Derek from VGG he needs some insights on the air suspension on longmire. So he can get more travel out of the rear
You need to see if they will let you get that old box truck chevy running
On old cars you can throw parts at it and if it doesn't fix the problem, you can call it preventative maintenance. It would have needed it sooner than later.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
I did the same thing with my wrist saver. Almost broke out the slice and dice to the socket but a little gentle persuasion had the same result. Love the show. God bless and keep it going.
Yes reset the PCM then drive it like ya stole it to let it relearn. The big thing about cleaning with brake clean, is to not do it while running, burning benzine is hazardous to your central nervous system. The coating from the factory lining the tbody is pretty durable.
Great video once again!
I had to give my mom a hand in my latest episode too… always gotta take good care of our moms!
This video was set on "stun" not "kill".
I still liked it!
Always doing fun and amazing things Puddin ! You have a great family and friends 😎👍🏻🇺🇸🦅
I'm always happy to watch all of your videos from both channels...!!!!
I've even binge watch all of your videos from your very first one that was your introduction to your awesome channels...!!!!!
my spark plug socket never has its rubber, thats why i keep some old fuel line in the toolbox, fits right over and pulls them out at any angle. also assists with insertions...
I had a 2004 Trailblazer. It rode nice, but everything else about the car was trash. One of the most regrettable car purchases I ever had.
Just went through the exact same thing with my mother's trailblazer about 6 months ago. Lost all gears shut it off let it cool down a bit and the gears came back. Pulled the pan and the pan and filter was plumb pack of clutch material (sh!t). Those blazers are heavy and those 4Lslippys don't like the weight and tall gears. I ended up back flushing the lines and cooler and slapping a new filter in it and it's been shifting since, sometimes it's a little more drawn out to shift but it shifts none the less. It bought me enough time to locate another trans so that when this finally goes I have one on standby. If you go that route just get the filter for a deep pan. There's 2 different sizes and the trailblazer uses the deep one. Good luck.
I think I told you this last time, but I use a 18" piece of half inch rubber fuel hose to put spark plugs in places I can't reach, and even ones that I can, I always have my spark plug hose in my tool box.
You are awesome! Try a short piece of 3/8 fuel line to hold plug while starting. FYI
All good Puddin, you’re always entertaining
That looks like the 05 Trailblazer I had. I got rid of mine a couple years ago, but never had a problem with it.
If that breather pipe was off the rig it will make it run funky!
Them Suck-em lids are good when you're wet sanding cars. Just the right amount of water to splash onto the sanding block. 👍🏼
Protip for the future, diluted dish soap in water in a spray bottle, like dawn or the like (in fact the dawn concentrated stuff works best) after mixing it up, will kill the bees and hornets on contact within seconds. the soap helps the water get into their pores and basically suffocates them by removing the surface tension. it's a simple household trick that just works. The only issue you may have is finding the right spray nozzle.
The one thing you do want to do is keep the weeds on your lawn for a while, especially since you had that tornado blow through recently. honeybees are starting to go out foraging and you definitely want to let them do their work so they survive... out of all the bees, let the most important ones live.
Great video as always, good practice for future is to move the suspect coil to another cylinder. One, it helps with moving the difficult coil location to an easier cylinder and two diagnose the coil quicker, problem coil will show on new location. Thanks again for all the content!
I put 3 different throttle bodies on my 03 trailblazer because it kept going into reduced power mode. I finally found one that worked.
Great video start to finish. All smiles.
Dude it doesn't matter to me i will watch any video you make just keep them coming
It got me laughing puddn ur funnier and cooler than u realise and ur humble nature ur an allround good guy and we appreciate ur content u have no idea the struggles im living with but i tell ya i watch a pudn video and for an hour atleast i get to laugh smile and take my mind of things.u have no idea how much ur videos brighten up my week thankyou jacob. I hope we tell you that enough also. God bless u and ur family.
Lots of good advice on this video. Thank y'all
I think you can replace the boots on the coils, also put a little anti seize on the threads of the plugs
Nice work on the wasps!
I enjoyed this one! I own a trailblazer too! I've yet to change plugs in it but since I saw you do it, I'm going to be a copy cat! besides, It's got 167000 miles on it! 😆😁
Excellent video Puddin :) in fixing up your moms 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer on change Spark plugs plus Number 6 coil part to & clean up Fuel Injection TBI and for Transmission problems get black bottle of brand WYNNES of called Trans Medic put Transmission when cold or engine start up then put brake pedal on shift up from 1 to Netural wait 30 seconds then put Reverse then Park to wait one minute ! Then brake pedal on go to Park , Reverse, Netural wait 10 seconds then Overdrive, Drive , 3 , 2, 1 wait 5 seconds shift up back to Park ! Then check fluid smell and color says if bright pink to red and go for test drive start from 1 all rest to Overdrive and see shift better to ! If not get too Uncle Rick of do change fluid plus gasket on pan and filter too ! See what happens too and Solilendo too! Hopefully this helps out solve problems!
Puddin Time y'all. Everyone stay a while and enjoy it. 😂😂😂. Love your videos. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friend. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
I got a 04 Trailblazer inline 6 and love it! Been a good little beater. And running around on back roads and power line trails is a blast. Although I had All Terrain set installed instead of old All Season tires that came stock on them lol.
One thing I hate is the alternator location...it's a bugger to change lol.
For future reference on doing plugs on the Chevy van, just do half through the wheel wells and and take out that doghouse for the back 4. Pray them seat bolts ain’t rusted to the floor
Thanks, Puddin!
Nice Duece and a quarter MATT!!😊
If u want to check if the coil pack is bad just switch it with one you know is working,,,if the miss switches to the new cylinder u need a new pack
great video buddy keep them coming love the channel
Puddin . The wife said her sisters Trailblazer which looks just like that one . Had to have the linkage cable replaced. Just figured I would drop that info. Thanks for the vids.
Your videos are fun! Keep on truckin!
Puddin You should get one of those Trailer sales places to sponser you with a trailer to haul all the vehicles you move around. Would be good advertisement .
A good repair and a heavy weight wasp boxing match… great video!
at first i thought maybe a coil pack on the missing cylinder, now the tranny part has both and output and imput speed sensor, an OBDII test would tell you alot
Thanks for another great video Puddin and thanks for the coupon!
Well you're not alone with nothing going good good video thanks
Visually check those iridium plugs, but don't run a gap tool through it, very easy to break that center electrode!
Flex seal commercial hilarious. Future episode?? Sponsorship? I've often use old camper shells to keep the inside of beds clean on trucks that I keep for an extended time. It really makes the inside of the bed look nice and of course is going to throw some stuff in there to store. Just sharing. Have a great week
Great video Brother can't wait to see the pepper when it gets done sounds like it's going to be awesome love you guy's keep them coming 👍
DANG . The bank beside the house is nice !!!!
Just a super guy enjoying a super life. Youre a good dude
Firing Dad jokes from the hip is always funny...
Thanks Puddin
The squeak is more than likely the serpentine belt tensioner Which probably needs to be changed I know when I changed the one on my silverado the squeak went away
Sweet I don’t want lunch just puddin 😂
Heads up on those trailblazers, it will misfire dependant on the brand spark plug you use
I’ve owned a 2003 model it’s did the exact same thing I ordered another throttle body from rock auto and it worked. I didn’t have to unhook the battery so it could reprogram or learn throttle positioning
Them nipple sport caps work great for a one man brake bleeder they hold either a 5/32 or 7/32 vac line it always seems to fit the bleeder nipple on the brakes
got my package today. A+ yall
Your weeds joke was a gem
Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
oh heck yeah, back with another Puddin Tang!!!
Love it my friend! Any Puddin offerings are kwolity!
Trans filters plug up on them Der gm products sometimes.
Need a scanner to check shift selonieds.
May 05 is in the same boat I replaced two need 4 more coil packs, others are still working it just needs tune up, those suckers are not cheap though, mine would misfire and cut out.
Matt's Buick looks sweet 👌🏻
Hey Puddin! Only fix for the trailblazers is a stick of dynamite!🤣🤣
