    Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is a game that I too rented multiple times but could never progress further than getting Yae. Picked up a copy a few years back and finally dedicated a full playthrough early this year, 2024. The full game is amazing. Taking over 20+ years to beat it felt like realizing your soulmate was someone you've always known but never pursued far enough. Enjoy it!

    Of these games, I have InuYasha (it's pronounced In-new Yah-sha), which is moreso based on the anime, going by the artstyle, and
    Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, which was the first game in the series I played, I rented it several times growing up and a friend gifted me both N64 Goemon games with repro boxes. I still need to get around to playing Goemon's Great Adventure.

    I have lots of games on my PS4 and on Steam that I haven't played. I still have not played Hollow Knight, Bioshock, and Bioshock 2. Those are the top 3 that come to mind. Every time I have vacation from work, I always make it a point to play some of the games I just never fired up. I've had a mixed bag of games whenever I fire up a game that's been just sitting there un-played. I've had games that were crap and should have stayed un-played, games that were extremely overrated, and games that were really fun and I wish I'd played them sooner.

    • @Fortefyre
      @Fortefyre  9 дней назад

      That's usually how it goes :) Bioshock is a strange series though, it's hit or miss.

    11:45 - Shadow of Mordor is AMAZING, as is the sequel. LOTR games from Peter Jackson's take are mostly great. and EA did different things with the handheld versions of the games than the Console Ports, if that wasnt enough Battle For Middle Earth 1 & 2 are RTS games set in the LOTR Universe, the first fixating on the Trilogy and then the sequel tellng the unseen story of The War in the North, including Legolas' father and Elrond. the BFME games are Abandonware and therefore legal to download wherever you can find them. sadly since EA no longer holds the precious LOTR rights, they can never make sequels that many of their fans would love to see, so what we have, we covets them.

    We all have a game or 2 that we own but haven't put the time in to play. More now than when we were younger. Content and older games are so readily available today like they never were before. I just went to a Retro Con gaming event in Portland Oregon where I live,and it was funny to see all these classic NES games at 70 different booths all at different prices and in different condition. Front Mission looks pretty cool. Hearing you talk about Fatal Fury 3 was pretty damn funny LOL, The play control was always difficult you have a better chance of hitting the POWERBALL than executing a super move when you want to. I liked the characters but the play control always felt blocky not smooth like SF2. The computer in most FF games felt like it could read your input so quickly and just kick your ass like MK3. I still hate that fucking game. I really enjoyed the King of Fighters games later on with teams I thought that was pretty cool. Out west we did have a lot of SNK arcade cabinets usually with 3 or 4 games in each cabinet you could switch titles to the one you wanted. SNK in a lot of ways had good ideas and never was afraid to try new things. Samurai Showdown was always a cool title where you could slice your opponent in half at the end of each battle.
    Twisted Metal I own and have beat it. The problem is TM2 is a damn masterpiece and just about a perfect game. The problem with Twisted Metal 1 was that you had background shit hitting you from behind that was annoying as fuck and little guys that respawned so you couldn't wait a second for the computer cars to come to you so you could ambush them. You couldn't freeze an opponent without the freeze missile to tee off on someone, also the areas were bigger and the map harder to read where your opponents are. I almost never play this game its funny to hear my son 9 year old son say "Screw that Ice cream truck" and worse things. My son and I love playing TM2. Funny now that he learned about the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Empire State building from blowing them up in the game.
    I met all the actors from the original MK 1 game at the Retro con and although I didn't have $140 to get a signature from all of them they were nice people to visit with and get to know. They are all pretty small like 5'5" and 5"6" but look so much bigger in the game but wonderful people overall. Met the guy who did the NBA Jam voicework as well he was funny as hell you could hear him talk anywhere in the whole convention center. Highly recommend if they are coming to your area. Also they were doing Tetris, and Super Smash Bros tournaments.

      That's EPIC! For me, I prefer the KoF line of games, and I absolutely abhor The Art of Fighting, Samurai Shodown, and Fatal Fury, but I still want to check them out if able. I hope to play tons of more games and make more opinions. Are you talking about the PRGE? I've been wanting to check that out, it's on my bucket list for next year.

    The game Front Mission is very interesting! It looks like a Final Fantasy Tactics clone. A lot of similarities with that game, just using the Mech theme instead of fantasy. Definitely will check out Front Mission. It kind of makes sense if Square worked on it, but if it is a legacy title, then maybe Final Fantasy Tactics is the Clone🤔
