It would be interesting to see hazardous objects on the floor where the player will be hurt when their hand touches it. These could include broken glass, chemical spills, etc.

This is actually a great idea I would've loved to play something like this as a kid would've made my top classic games to replay or pop back too; not very realistic considering you'd die right away but still awesome haha
