Obviously all these men are very talented and contributed to the film in important ways. But for an average movie goer such as myself, Paul (Felix) IS the movie. I have no problem with the balance of this interview, or the many awards this movie was nominated for; but it blows my mind that Felix wasn't nominated for any awards for his performance, which was just stunning. Every second of it. Maybe someone can enlighten me :)
I just saw this film this past weekend and as soon as it was done, I asked myself, "how was that actor not nominated for everything for this movie?!" He was so fantastic!
Volker Bertelmann won a oscar for the music score of the film. Felix using an Excel spreadsheet is so clever. He is a man of his times; a genius. Kudo's to the interviewer. Great interview.
I kept thinking about the mobilization of young Russians who don’t want to go to war, trapped in a fascist regime and dictator who wants to take over European countries. History repeats itself over and over again. This should win the best movie Oscar not just best foreign movie.
It’s just mind blowing that you feel so sorry for russian occupants that choose their regime and fight for it (and by fighting I’m talking about killing and torturing peaceful civilians, raping women and children etc) and don’t feel sorry for Ukrainians that didn’t choose this war, but have to die in it (if they fight they die and if they’ll surrender they’ll die, so there’s not much choice for them). While russians had a choice, they just made a wrong one. So it’s just ridiculous to see people showing empathy for them.
@@marianaida1076 you are assuming these young men have a choice, that’s not how authoritarian regimes work. If They don’t do it, then they get tortured in jail and their families too. Of course there’s always some true believers of the propaganda and some true psychopaths but I think most are just normal people trying to cope. It’s understood I stand by Ukraine and democracy. I just feel bad for people trapped without freedom and democracy who are threatened by violence if they don’t conform.
Felix being so serious when explaining his chart and Daniel got so amused by it is the best part of this interview 🤣🤣🤣
I love that Felix did that spreadsheet. Super analytical and, hey, it soooo worked.
@Tim Griffin I really wish he would share it with us because he talks about it almost in every interviews he had. I wanna see it! 😁😁
I've never had a favourite actor, but Felix changed that :)
Amazing film. It should definitely win the Oscar for best foreign language film.

There are these European actors that are my favourites. Felix Krammerer, Flula Borg, Christoph Waltz, and Stan Ianevski.

Me too. I am thinking that ironically this is giving those tragic young men and young men world wide a voice. Important film.
