Sadly an ERROR code is given when a request for one day off is made. This is flagged by many comments in the supporting doc, but no response has been made to these requests for help. Also, the form cannot deal with requests for part of a day off.

Hi Guys, I found a resolution for this! You should have access to the calendar of the person who logs to your app. -> "Share with specific people" setting
Hi. Awesome tutorial, but the new menu item at the top of that sheet called Form will not appear. I waited a few seconds, clicked Form > Go to live form to visit the form created by the script titled “Request time off”, and still Form did not appear. Do I require a certain version of Google? Any help is appreciated.
I had same issue. I had to open AppScript editor and run the script manually to get the new menu items to appear. Not sure if there is a glitch in the onOpen() trigger/command or what.
I work at a school district trying to apply this for specific times and dates for scheduling I already have a Form that takes basic information but it has a multiple choice column for time slots due to class periods, I am trying to get those variables to pull time in and time out then combine that with the date to set up a calendar event. I collect Name of Person the Date and Period Number(s) then want the variable to be distributed on separate rows in another sheet that can export that information to the Calendar. Unless I can create a script that takes Period 1 time of "8:10 am to 9:05 am" variables that will export per period without having to make teachers fill out a form per period.

I'm getting the same issue. Looks like the start and end dates HAVE to be different - so if they need just one day off, it causes that error message. LMK if you find a workaround, trying to implement this for 2022 in my office, really wish there was a fix.
