      Which is really impressive. I admire it for 2 reasons. 1) he truly has absorbed knowledge (knawwwliidggge) from a ton of different sources. 2) he actually remembers where he got what or who told him something. Which to me shows he respects people enough to remember all those various names and not just take the valuable info and dip out and forget who he got it from.

      He's soo shifty! There's an interview with him and Grant Cardone in a car....he doesn't answer a single question. Like the one about being fucked over....you'd expect Mr. Entrepreneur to answer it related to business, but again he replies about women and dating.

    Loved this. I can understand that changing your setting and your friends if they are brining you down or aren't motivated enough in their own life to want more. My problem is it feels wrong in a way doesn't it? To let go of a few friends you've known for a long time since school. Is it okay to just let go of them. To say I want a better life and you bring lots of negativity to me and you don't seem to want to change. I guess in a way it's like relationships sometimes you have to just let go and not try to hold on. I don't know how to just let go of friends. Feels wrong but if it's to better my life will it be right? I don't want to be stuck where I am. I want to move foward and make something not for myself but for my family.

    I’m 26 years old and have been listening to episodes of this show at random for awhile now, but this episode really hits home for me. This was my first time listening to Tai speak about his success and how to cope with depression. Every second of this episode helped me get through the day today, when I couldn’t find anything else to take my mind off of the negative events happening in my life. I am just 1 person, but just know that all 3 of you made a difference in my life today. Excellent show and guest! 🙏🏻

    The reason people are fixated and obsessed with money is because money is freedom, money allows you to do whatever you want whenever you want if you have enough of it. Who wants to work a 9 till 5 for minimum wage for the rest of there life when they can be in the tropics on a yacht with a few million in the bank with no worries, but really money isnt shit without happiness or the sense of love, i mean when you have the money to buy anything you want you will come depressed when you realise that you crave the basic things that less wealthy people have but you cant obtain.

      Could be both. Takes some brains to pull off a long-con and relies on the stupidity others to convince them to fall for a pyramid scheme: making money off of telling people how to make money. The difference is that at least with traditional schemes people have at least a chance of making money off of the backs of those at a lower level, but with Tai's 'system' they can't then each create their own 'self-help' enterprise to get rich. If they fail, they can always blame their own lack of drive or discipline and Tai can point to his own wealth as proof that it does in fact work, despite the fact that a significant proportion of his net-worth is from selling people a method for raising their own net-worth.

    • @Len124
      @Len124 5 лет назад +2

      @@Snobbishbumpkin I can't of course, but he seems to imply that it's an important source of income for him in the podcast, considering he holds onto the "lucky phone" that he shot and posted the first Lamborghini video with. I'm not saying he was broke before (he had a Lamborghini), but he seems to imply he was trying a bunch of stuff with variable success. He could be completely legit, despite appearances, but the burden of proof is on him, since he's the one selling his method to success, and that proof has been lacking. I haven't delved into too much though, so if I'm wrong, then I (and the rest of the internet) owe Tai an apology. But his advice seems just vague enough to avoid culpability, and if his advice fails, all the blame can be put on the shoulders of the customers. Maybe they made a poor choice of mentor, didn't want it enough, or they're a sociopath. Central to his advice is, essentially, "read" (he skims by the way)--what game-changing advice! You know he's not targeting geniuses when he assumes they don't read many books. It tends to select against those that might see through his bullshit, leaving only perfect marks behind: "Maybe I should give this book-learnin' everyone's been ravin' bout a try? I'm sure those business folk will respect me if I learn me some of them college words!"

    • @Len124
      @Len124 5 лет назад +1

      I think telling people to drop out or not get a degree is pretty terrible advice. I believe that you do know more than many economists, but that doesn't mean too much in the world we live in. It's true that business and economics can be different from other forms of higher education because there is no degree requirement to create a startup, and some businesses are willing to hire based solely on personality and potential results rather than requirements, but they're not different enough that not having a degree isn't a major handicap in the job-market. I'm completing a psychology degree atm and it requires a degree to be able to do research, provide clinical services, potentially write prescriptions (if you decide to pursue that extra step), and these are skills and abilities that are essentially impossible to get outside of university. Now, I know that type of degree is not really applicable to business, which is his main target, but it's an example of why his black and white view of college is ridiculous. Also, I'm Canadian and graduates not having work and the student-debt crisis is not as prevalent here, but no matter the country or whether post-secondary education is flawed, it is still how the system works. His reasoning itself if very flawed: because he found success without a degree and because other people regularly do as well, you shouldn't attend university. Isn't it possible that people find success in-spite of this, not because of it? Though, again, it isn't as risky to go to university in Canada, and there are fewer financial roadblocks and disincentives for going, so I can't say for sure that it's worth it in the US, since I can only speak from a Canadian and science degree perspective. But if your goal is to just make as much money as possible (I wouldn't be going into sciences if my goal was to make more than 100K a year), then statistics show that those with a degree make significantly more, on average, than those without. I agree that this system may not be ideal and that for business or economics the degree may be no more than a glorified ticket-to-ride, but the system hasn't evolved to the point yet that people can monetize knowledge they've gained sans-degree. The economy and many, many fields are still highly-biased (to put it mildly) toward the educated.
