Well if you actually watch what Jon Tron says, he goes extremely easy on him.. Don't know why there is so much hate for a 7-minute conversation. He didn't ask him about anything about his fiasco specifically only how he felt about it.

One thing I really have to respect JonTron for is that he actually looks at the audience camera too. which is really cool to me that hes also talking to the audience, hes a great performer.

McHaazelnutz I love Jon but I really think Danny is a better fit for Arin on the show as a whole. If I remember correctly, Jon and Arin werent really friends outside of the show, they just held it together for the sake of the show.

@@typhoon37351 Danny is barely into games at all and seems disinterested in the vast majority of their playthroughs. He doesn't even touch a controller most of the time. And their humour is not just juvenile, which I'm generally fine with, but it's all low hanging fruit or inside jokes and delivered really half-assedly. OneyPlays for example has similar potty humour but they at least develop their material a little more.

I think Ethan easily obsessed over things and has a hard time moving on, that's all. I find myself in the same position at times and I recognize it's shitty, but sometimes I recognize what I'm doing and stop, other times I don't see it. I don't think he meant anything bad by it.

The thing that always got to me was RUclips removing ads for not being "ad-friendly" which I get. I really do understand a product not wanting to be associated with certain content. BUT when an unskippable trailer for a horror movie plays before my toddler daughter's children's songs compilation..... UUUGGGGHGHHHH
I don't associate ads with the video I'm watching. Even if I did, I typically watch videos I like so I probably wouldn't develop any negative associations and it'd be really petty of me if I did.

Ethan has, in his Hot ones video, said that Papa John is the one personality that they have talked about and made a meme of that they can never get a hold of. they think its mostly die to the fact that papa john himself isn't a youtuber or online personality, so there wouldn't really be a reason for him to fly down to LA and waste half an afternoon making a video with them. i'm sure one day he'll make an appearance, but not for a while.

To people with newly found interest in this video and are wondering what the 5 minutes of this podcast that caused confusion is about - a few years ago JonTron was invited by Destiny (a political commentator) to debate with him on his livestream covering general political/philosophical views due to some interesting political tweets that Jon had posted previous to the invite.
“In early 2017, Jafari faced backlash from media outlets and fans after making public comments on race and immigration” - JonTron’s wiki page.
During the live-stream of the debate, Jon made it appear as though he had/has alt-right or white nationalist views throughout his attempted arguments. It’s still in the air as to whether he really holds those views or not but it made a lot of people question/accuse him of being a nazi. I’m a big fan of his content but disagree with the fact-less points he was attempting to make. Nonetheless Jon definitely entered into something he wasn’t prepared for, as he says in the podcast. You can find highlights of the debate by searching for “JonTron Destiny debate.” This moment had a big impact on his public image and as anybody would- he wants to leave the embarrassing moment in the past.
I do agree though that we should be more open to the other person’s opinion and we shouldn’t be so quick to assume or misjudge just because we disagree. We’re all guilty of hastily assuming or putting our own foot in our mouths at some point. 1:31:00 is such a wholesome conversation.

I will always be a JonTron fan, he's the only channel I've ever bought merch from, I've found so many channels from him, gamegrumps, h3, etc and through those other channels, but JonTron was the first of many, I fuckin love you Jon keep up the good work
Love the shit out of Jon's new videos. Literally my only critique would be for him to go back to including the traditional Jontron intro. There's just something so sweet about clicking on a new Jontron video and hearing that catchy jingle play.
He needs to go back to doing video game content at least occasionally - I get it, he wants to diversify and do other things - but it's pretty lame to build up a following by doing something, then, once you're established, be like "k im not doin the thing you subbed for anymore, but ty for the fame"
