Learn something new everyday. Cool technique Mike, never seen anyone do it exactly like that before. Very handy trick! Great video, thanks! Have a great weekend!
I'm liking the 5- minute Friday vlog. It's simple, easy to do tips & tricks that help make a dramatic change in your photos. And Mike, did you see our weather forecast for Sunday? 50% chance for rain (remember rain?) and 97 degrees!! After 6 weeks of 110 and crappy air quality. A change is coming. Wheeew, it's about time we got a break. Keep up the good work.
Michel Corbin the 3 main methods I use are the clone stamp tool, spot healing brush, and the lasso tool, which I then use the content-aware fill function. Very powerful for something like this
Thank you. This was very helpful and very well explained. I am often intimidated by Lightroom but your video really spelled out what to do in this situation
Smack on 5 mins. Great tutorial. I think I am going to have to get the professional Photoshop and Lightroom. I only have Elements 15. In my defence, I am learning all the time, so you and Chris are so inspiring when it comes to learning techniques , on and off the field.
Antony Halls ah that’s sooo great to hear Antony! I think it’s worth the price for the LR and PS software, but there are lots of options that work well too!
Matching the exposures on this example was not a big deal but it got me thinking. If dealing with multiple shots do you think you could select the photos and use the "Match Total Exposure" function in Lightroom to get the exposures close? I've used the finger trick several times and it works great but I didn't really think about trying to match the exposure before round-tripping them to PS. Great tip here Mike.
Philip Culbertson thanks Philip! Yes that might work as well! I just try and concentrate on the specific area where the flare is, but if that match exposure function does the trick, then even better!
Nice work Mike, thanks so much
