That closing shot is great, along with the others. I would've killed for a foreground grouping like that at Dutchman when i was there this last April. Nice job.
I think Joni Mitchell said it best, "I've you've looked at clouds from both sides now From up and down and still somehow It's cloud illusions I recall I really don't know clouds at all" Great images, love the mood👍😎
Another great video!! No 100-400 for me, but the 200-500 will have to come along on the next landscape focused shoot. Quads will certainly get a workout with that in the pack!!!
Great contrast and moodiness in those creative shots. You always show us how the desert is never boring and how to work with the conditions you run into!
Hi Mike, ahh - I was totally feeling with you as you hiked up there and realized that the good conditions were coming from the other direction. A so well-known situation from the photographer's life. Your final image is really awesome, so fantastic atmospheric conditions, such breathtaking mood and depth. And I'm pretty sure, after waiting 1-2 weeks, I will still like it, haha :) Great job, buddy! Nice greetings, Christian
Alright, you’ve guilted me into it. Rather than sitting here in Oregon watching your video while it rains outside, I’m heading out. And I shouldn’t have to worry about rattlesnakes! 🥂
Love the photos....Some photos look sooo much better in B&W and the ones in the beginning are awesome looking...i love the way the cloud makes a natural seperation between the peaks. Take care and be careful.
Hey Jim! I did not focus stack this one. Everything was far enough away that I didn’t need to. With my wide angle lens, anything more than 10ft away (estimate) I really don’t feel the need to focus stack. I don’t have a scientific approach to it. It’s just more from experience. Wide angle lenses are much more forgiving with hyperfocal distance and depth of field.
Great images, Mike!! You're right about the 100-400, as I have rented it a couple of times for moon photos and some landscape, but the price tag for the Z 100-400 is too darn steep for me.
Those conditions are my favorite also. I loved those images and such a good video. Can't wait to start seeing some of your fall foliage videos too. Keep up the great work Mike.

Even a photoshop wizard would not be able to drop in that sky.... fantastic capture, and what a great day to be out there!
Haha thanks Mitch!
Wow! That last shot is awesome. 🤩

Wonderful series of photos!
I love your channel. It gives me some inspiration to go to Arizona few times an year. Thanks.
Ah, the high you get chasing for conditions 😂 just keeps you going out again and again despite the heartbreak 90% of the time. Great shots!
Thank you! Definitely makes it worth it when you finally get the shot!
WOW! Those first few shots were great, but that last one was Breathtaking!
Thank you!

👌👌
Beautiful photos! I love this video!
Thank you so much Julia!
@@PereaPhotography You're welcome!
Nice video! You commented about bracketing. Did you focus stack? If not why not? I’m still refining my approach to focus stacking landscape shots.

@@PereaPhotography your welcome
Great Video.. Excellent images. I think a little less camera time you, and more on the lanscape, might have made it a lot more interesting.
Thanks Jason! I’d like to see less of my face too.. 🤣
