I'm going here the third weekend of February. I'm really hoping they can build it back up again, it could be hit or miss on temps the next couple weeks. Thanks for the video!
Glad you got out there man, but what a difference in the terrain/look from even 2 weeks ago when it was winter wonderland. Nice to see they still had a solid crowd even with the rain messing up the base a bit. Glad you had more runs open even though it looks like most of the snow was gone from prior weeks. I'm going to try to get up there mid-February and supposedly they'll be getting a bit more snow in the next few weeks. We're even supposed to get some snow down here in north GA at the start of February. Cataloochee is still holding around 70" so I may try to get up there this Saturday if the weather holds and I'm not busy. Edit: On the Cataloochee webcams right now, it's coming down up there...hopefully it sticks around for a few days, lol.
I know right! I love Canaan Valley, it has an awesome vibe all around. Still plenty of runs open to have fun out there. Hoping the snow refreshed it a bit! lol, Cataloochee reminded me of Canaan, just smaller. My car would never make it up that hill into the Cat with a real snowfall, so steep lol. cheers to Tekno getting more runs in this season, its been a great year overall!
Canaan Valley is somewhere I heard about before I discovered bryce but still haven't made it out too, I gotta try and head there, but it's a decent hike from NoVA!
In the same valley as Timberline, it has some nice green and blue runs there! I definitely recommend it, because the crowds are low. Gives you confidence to get better there
Nice pics and review! I must make it to WV. If you come back to New York, stop by Belleyre again as the rain most of us got was snow there. Be well and keep skiing!
Yeah the rain really killed the mid atlantic as far as skiing goes though more snow coming this week! Im waiting until i get a snow day from school to go here but who knows when or even if thatll happen🙄 I am graduating this year though so hopefully i can ski full time next season✌️✌️
@ADHski I hope i get there this season looks like a fun place! And if you're still looking for a place to go, I'll be lookin for some stoke at liberty mtn on Sunday!!! They have like the whole mountain open
We need you to put out a calendar with a heads up as to where you’re going… would like even 1 or 2 days heads up where you’re going so we might cross paths…
@@ADHski I'll see if I can get out either of those two days. Thats my home turf! I work at a nice restaurant right on RT 30 near laurel. Have fun if I dont see you out there.
@@ADHski for sure .... winter will be back. I've been whitewater kayaking out where you live but never skiing. Those resorts look like private ski clubs .... really cool. Yeeeewwwww!!!!!⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷
@@ADHskiYes....those are fun runs. My east coast favorite is the Green River in NC. I spent a lot of time at N.O.C, getting my instructor certifications. We do not have any warm water out here like you guys do. Those rivers are so much fun!! If you keep the skis, kayaks, and fishing poles in the truck you are always in the game in the PNW.
Nice sending it! This warm spell is disappointing. Still holding out hope one day to time a storm right and hit those canaan meadows!
Yewwww! One day we'll rip some meadows runs bro! Hope you have a good trip out there next week!

welcome to stay out east anytime man! these hills are great fun for sure
Rippen' it up! Looked like fun - nice trails. The rain really did a number there but it should get back pretty quick.
thanks man! its a nice wv mountain! Have you been getting out to Snowshoe this season a lot?
A lot! It's been fun. Silver Creek has been good this year. Even Flying Eagle is open.@@ADHski
Let's gooo. I was hoping to do a separate Silver Creek video this season, but it appears they got rid of their SC only ticket!@@chrisledbetter3475
I was there week before, great conditions then, though my sons were with me so I only got a few "me" runs in. I still need write it up.
Can't wait to read the write up! I heard it was amazing when you were there, hope you had fun with your sons!

Thank you! West VA definitely has lower crowds than NY, and still great skiing. How late in the season does Belleayre remain open? Hope all is well!
Bummer about the rain destroying the base, but looks like you had a good time regardless!
always a great time out there, still a lot open!
I want to try skiing here!
you got it!
