I hate these videos so much. Whenever I see one, I have to watch it, and that usually turns into me watching 20 or 30 more, and then I have to rewatch them because I want to play along with them or learn the ones I don't already know. There goes half my day. And the tone is always so perfect.

You have the tone nailed down. I've played a Carl Thompson through a Mesa Boogie rig and yeah even still it takes fine tuning and setting up to get it right. Your performance of the solo was sick. Cheers.

I'll get a lot of hate for this but, I think Les Claypool is better than Wooten.
It'll be more a matter of personal preference, at their level it's a matter of who you like more. I do prefer Les :)
Ayl Gnb Les is a god, but Victor Wooten....he's something else. I disagree.
Both are amazing bassists. Different genres entirely, of course. I do think I prefer Wooten but Les is a very close second.

I got these made before we cut down on production. He is still making a few I believe...
"As of February 5th, 2014 (Carl's birthday!) we will not be taking any more "custom orders." People with instruments on order, your guitars and basses will get our full attention until they're all complete. Once these are done we will still continue to build. We have some new designs in the works and new ideas that we'd like to try, but these guitars will be for sale as finished instruments." So I guess he's still making them, but only stock models.
+Mercer right, just no custom anymore. Still he pretty much decided what to put on the basses anyway ;)
