i have the a8a and I still have issues with audio delay. With all streaming services diney+ netflix and prime Verry frustrating. Wish they woul fix this
Even tho I updated to 1.59 I was having issues. It took like 3 days until the issues went away. My a8a are bug free now. No more HBO audio bugs. No more Dolby vision bugs. Just waiting on those 2.1 and gaming features…

Id like to know if its possible for them to include the Auro 3d for their other receivers. Anything that has Cinema 3d already should be able to handle it right?

What speaker settings +or - db do you recommend for each speaker. I have a 7.2.4 configuration. I use the Auro but I’m not really impressed as I don’t seem to get much SOUND from my OG SPEAKERS. ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?
Thanks for the video.. I didn’t realise we had some Auro 3D settings we could play with and it’s bee out four around three weeks here in Australia. I dont have any issues with the audio sync between the new Apple TV 4K and the A8A regardless what app or content I’m watching.. What are you watching Mortal Kombat on and I’ll test it out. Hey Max, thanks for the video, however, the popping sound from random speakers when sending DD+ content from Sony TV to the A8A has not been resolved. I still have this issue as well as the sound delays. The Auro 3D seems to be working fine so far with the 1.59.

For right now, Yamaha hasn’t come out with a firmware update for the 4K/120 pass-through. The update is supposed to come this year. In regards to the 8500A, are you referring to Denon? If you need a receiver right now, I would buy the Denon receiver instead of the Yamaha because 8500HA has at least 1 HDMI 2.1 that works with the Series X, PS5, and PC. Plus, it’s a 13.2 channel compared to 11.2 RX-A8A.
@@mchambliss2 Appreciate the response. I actually pulled the trigger on the Yamaha. The warranty was a big plus for me and the cost difference I’ll throw at the new Epson 4k pro projector when it hits the market soon. Great channel!
So funny thing is that before this update i was not experiencing any audio delay issues, after the update however i'm now having that audio delay problem.
Hi Max, but when you go into the sound settings, which App does it refer to? I ask you because I can't set up the Yamaha AV Controller app with my RX A6A, it seems that this app is not compatible with my receiver.
Nice video again. A question to clarify. Do you have the rear presence speakers on the wall above the side surrounds, or on the wall above the rear surrounds? I'm in a 7.1.4 setup and trying to find best setup for a combination of atmos, dts x, and auro3d. Right now my rear presence speakers are behind me up on the wall above the rear surrounds, but wondering I should move them to side surrounds.
I really want the Yamaha a6a but I'm not getting it at this point! 2299 pounds with no HDMI 2.1 out the box, no thanks.. they better hurry though if they want my money because if the Onkyo rz50 comes out in UK before Yamaha release the update patch Onkyo will get my money which has everything I want out the box!!
instead of Yamaha and wait for a Eternity to get premium features for the price you paid for you should buy Denon or Marantz, for less price you get all the features a good receivers must have like the Denon X3800H for just 1,399 us dollars : Imax Enhance/Auro-3d/ DTS X-PRO/ATMOS/DIRAC LIVE/HLG, HDR, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dynamic HDR passthrough./4 independenttt woofers outputs . Yamaha is a joke !!!!
